Wagtail is a cosy single-story dog friendly barn conversion suitable for a family of 4. The bright contemporary living space overlook gardens and privately owned farmland. The fenced gardens mean that you can arrive fling open the doors and allow the children to run, discover the play spaces and make new friends all within the watchful eyes of their parents. The accommodation is part of a cluster of converted barns close to South Creake benefitting from excellent onsite amenities including the luxury indoor salt dosed pool, tennis courts, games room, cycle store & 24 hour laundry.

Wagtail has two bedrooms and an open plan kitchen dining & living space. The rooms all have vaulted ceilings with an airy feel. The living space has comfy sofas and a Smart TV with a woodburning stove for cosy winter weekends. The spacious main bedroom has a king-sized bed with room for a travel cot and ample storage space in the drawers and wardrobe. The second cosy bedroom has clothes storage with two 2ft 6" single beds suitable for children or a single adult.. There is a family bathroom with a bath and separate shower, handbasin & WC. Fluffy white hand and bath towels provided for guest use. The home from home kitchen is well-equipped kitchen with plenty of cupboard & worktop space, ideal for whipping up family meals and picnics. Appliances include a fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher & gas oven. Cupboards and drawers are stocked with cutlery, crockery glasses pans and oven trays. There is also a toaster, Tassimo coffee machine and cafetiere and tea towels and oven gloves are provided.

Outside there is a private patio and fenced garden with a gate and direct access to the shared gardens and play areas. On the patio you'll find a charcoal barbecue and garden furniture ideal for informal al fresco dining. The gardens are east facing and an ideal spot for a sundowner as the sun sets at the end of a busy day exploring the Norfolk coast.

Great Stay!

Really enjoyed staying at Wagtail, the facilities at Cranmer Cottages are comprehensive! The pool with private allotted sessions is a real bonus, we had lovely weather too! Lots to do in the area and all just a modest drive away!

Late summer break

Our 5th visit, we love staying here, the location is ideal and the pool is beautiful. The playground and gardens are really good too.

A lovely week away

As a family of three with a toddler, we had such a nice week at Wagtail. The games room was great fun, we loved using the pool and we had a great time in the little playground. We thought the cottage was really well located, and easily got to lots of wonderful parts of north Norfolk. Everything was so thoughtful and well set up for young families. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely Cottage with countryside views

We stayed for 7 nights. All the pre-arrival information and directions were very detailed. The cottage was spotless and well equipped, in a delightful setting. Accomodation was very comfortable and relaxing. With the addition of a pool onsite. The local pubs are only a short drive away, and there are plenty to choose from. We couldn't recommend the cottages more highly and will definitely return in the future.

Family week in beautiful Notfolk

This is the second time we have stayed at Cranmer cottages ( Woodpecker last year ). For us we have found the perfect place to stay. With three children under four, the facilities are outstanding. We didn’t use the games room last time but this time loved the fact that it accommodates all ages. We love the location as it’s quite central and enables us to reach our favourite places in no time at all. As I said, perfect for us and we will be returning soon.

Beautiful accomodation

The cottage was beautiful, the courtyard was perfect overlooking the larger communal garden for the children. The swimming pool really made the holiday with options for our own private swim on set days as well as open swim times every morning and evening. Thoughtful welcome pack and detailed manual for both the accommodation and surrounding area. Thank you so much. Will be back!

Wagtail was outstanding, chosen because of pool, but lights were not on which made life a bit awkward for us early bird swimmers. Apart from that, it was all good. Didn't really want to leave

We had a lovely second stay at Waigtail. The cottage is the perfect set up for my three young kids. They loved the big playing field, playroom and especially the indoor swimming pool. The location is perfect, within close distance to a number of great places to visit, including Holkam hall and Burnham market. The cottage itself is the perfect size, beds are very comfy and all very clean when we arrived. The staff were very attentive to any requests/needs I had. Would highly recommend. Thank you

Very enjoyable

Enjoyed our long weekend stay which was booked at the last minute. Very helpful in explaining, cost & requirements for additional items requested. Just being a little picky but found quite a few flies on arrival & single beds a bit noisy with protectors. Overall a lovely place & lots to do in the surrounding area. Could have done with a bit longer! Thank you

A lovely cottage and Pool

The location was great for our purposes being central to the people we were visiting. The pool was the cleanest we have ever used and we really enjoyed our early morning daily swims. The staff were very helpful when we asked for information. Our only criticism was there were cobwebs at high level generally and also low level in the bathroom. The beams in the lounge had a thick level of dust on them . There were a lot of duplicating emails prior to our stay.-too many .

Excellent, comfortable cottage with wonderful pool

We had a wonderful short break (2 nights) at Wagtail. The cottage was spotlessly clean and generally in a good state of repair. The location is very peaceful and tranquil with plenty to do within a 30 min radius. The pool was a fantastic feature; it's great to have allocated times so that we could enjoy it by ourselves, although we did also use it during the communal hours and that was no great hardship. Plus there's a decent games room which we used for a game of pool on our last evening. The cottages themselves are well equipped and come with an extremely comprehensive set of manuals and instructions for just about every aspect of the stay. It's clear the owners take great care and pride in running the business. A very minor niggle was that the curtains weren't very good at blocking out light in the early morning and would benefit from blackout blinds for the summer months.

The converted barns and cottages at Cranmer offer a chance for families to wind down and spend time together enjoying the superb onsite facilities, whilst giving the car a rest! The cluster of properties are perfectly located close to some of the best beaches on the North Norfolk coast whilst nestling in a beautiful rural location. The holiday barns share a fabulous luxury indoor heated pool, two all-weather tennis courts an indoor heated games room and easy access to safe outdoor space from the doorstep. There is the option to share holidays with extended family or friend whilst still having ones own front door by hiring several or all of the properties at once. For cycling enthusiasts there are some great local cycle routes along the quiet back roads all the way to the beach at Holkham.
The whole site has great eco credentials along with several E.V charging points for guests travelling in electric vehicles.
Owners Chris & Becci live onsite. There is a small team of enthusiastic and friendly staff around during the week to help with local knowledge and advice and to help guests get the most out of their stay.
