A gorgeous old cottage fitted out with everything you need including a washing machine. Good to stay out of the city of Edinburgh but close enough to commute by train if you have a car and use the free park and ride.
Prachtig huis met alle faciliteiten en ruimte die je nodig hebt. Superaardige gastheer, hele mooie locatie. Met de bus naar Edinburgh is uitstekend te doen
My family and I had a lovely time at the cottage. It was easy to find and sits in a beautiful setting. It was peaceful and cosy and charming. It's easy reach to Edinburgh also. I did a gorgeous local walk along the river and beyond. We felt very relaxed and at home and wished we could have stayed longer!
Very quaint old stone cottage in a lovely quiet seting. Away from the hustle and bustle but just a 20min train ride to Endiburgh central which we used. Car probably needed for random day trips as we did.All in all a nice spot with vey quick response from our hosts to any queries.Richard
We had a great time in this little cottage, which was close to both nature and the City. We appreciated the on-site laundry. The owners were helpful and check-in was a breeze. We will hopefully be booking again the next time weâre in Scotland.
We had the absolute loveliest weekend staying in this charming little cottage. The place is cosy, full of character, and has that beautiful charm that instantly makes you feel at home. Every little detail felt thoughtful, and it was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the quiet after exploring the city.
Victor was the kindest and most welcoming hostâhe truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell he cares deeply about the space and his guests, which made our stay even more special.
Highly recommend this sweet gem if youâre looking for something a little more personal and peaceful during your time in Edinburgh. Weâd happily come back!
The cottage is so well setup for a comfortable stay, especially for a couple. Carina & Victor have done a lovely job with the furnishings and stylish decor. The bed is comfortabe and the kitchen downstairs has everything you need to self cater. We enjoyed catching the train to Edinburgh from Esbank station, which is a short drive with free parking. Highly recommend.
We found the cottage to be a very interesting design of the outwardly past century and inwardly modern. Victor and Carina have made the cottage a cosy place to land. The area was so delightful. We walked along tracks that took us to bubbling steams. So much flora and sunshine. Easily went on the train to Edinburgh a couple of times.
Een heerlijk verblijf in het cottage van Carina&Victor. Huis is zeer verrassend en comfortabel. Met smaak ingericht. Bushalte is dichtbij en binnen een half uur sta je in het centrum van Edinburgh. Ideaal dus! Eigenaren hebben drie prima restaurants in bezit. Dat maakte het nog mooier.. Dat maakte het nog mooier
We had a great 2 night stay. The cottage is very well equipped with all the basic necessities you need. Itâs in a quiet location which was nice to come back to after spending a whole day in the city. We used Ubers to get back and forth which we had no issues or long wait times considering the location. We would most definitely return. Thank you!!
Our family business is hospitality. We grow produce in our Kitchen Garden that we deliver to our restaurant on a daily basis. The cottage is on the edge of the garden and has its own small herb garden in the private courtyard at the back of the property.
The local area is very beautiful. Although we are only 5 miles out of the city centre we are surrounded by the countryside. There are lots of beautiful walks and the famous Roslin Chapel is only a few miles away
The cottage was built in the 1870âs but has been refurbished significantly internally. It still holds the charm of a period property but has all the modern essentials you would need.
