We enjoyed this home so much. The location was perfect for our trip to Colorado Springs. The owners were easy to access and very helpful with recommendations. The property was clean and so very charming. My teenager daughter loved the basement, and we ended every night with family board games that were provided. This was a perfect stay for a family!
Our family of 5 had plenty of space to spread out and relax each evening after spending our days hiking and enjoying the sites. Love the large kitchen for cooking family meals and the large, private backyard for the kids to play. The house was well cleaned and maintained, plenty of towels and toiletries available, comfy pillows, etc. The house has been wonderfully restored and is a historic gem. We definitely recommend this property for a family vacation.
This house was great, it was clean, well stocked and very cute. The owners were easy to communicate with and very responsive. We would definitely come back!
We stayed for a week in this beautiful house. Everything was perfectly clean and maintained. A lot of thought was put into what a vacationing family would need including games, fluffy towels, breakfast fixins, and so much more. I felt completely comfortable here and would definitely stay again. I loved the giant beautiful backyard with a little view of the mountains and the clean hot tub. Excellent location, quiet but still close to everything. We highly recommend a stay at this historic home.
If you like an old 1800's home that has been remodeled this is the home for you. The home is very charming and clean. There is only one traditional shower which was the only drawback. They have a footed tub in the other bathroom with a shower head but no curtain to keep the water from going all over.
Spacious home with unique charm and so many extras
This historical beauty is in a quaint little neighborhood close to the best attractions, shopping, and dining. We were greeted by a little white picket fence and front porch swing upon our arrival. All I could say during my first walk-though of this home was "I want to live here forever." The wood floors are beautiful. Brick and stone walls accent the first floor which also has the loveliest unexpected nooks and other hiding places. Finding little spaces for quiet contemplation is difficult with three kids, but not in this house. The basement became the kids' hangout while my husband and I enjoyed our time alone together on the first and second floors. The yard is sprawling and offers a little view of the mountains from the picnic table and hot tub. The beds were comfortable. The walk-in shower and antique bathtub made bathing feel luxurious which was great after hiking in the mountains. The kitchen is well appointed and comes with extras most rental don't offer (bread, eggs, butter, coffee, etc.) This was true throughout the home. We usually have to buy things like paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and detergent when we vacation through VRBO. But this house was stocked with all the essentials. It's obvious this home is more than just an investment property (the kind of rental that feels sterile and lifeless). The owners put their heart into this place and it shows. We encountered a blizzard during our stay. The lovely neighbors came to check in on us and extend their help which was very nice. Jeff (the owner) came and shoveled snow off the sidewalk and driveway. We never had any problems thanks to his attention and diligence. Our stay in Colorado Springs was magical. We can't wait to return.
We stayed here for a long weekend on a visit to Colorado College. Wonderful and cozy home in a great location. The weather wasnât warm enough to use the backyard but it is big and looks great.
We look forward to returning.
Stayed a week with four adults and 2 young children. The location is excellent with coffee shops close enough to walk to and a 2 minute drive to grocery store. Very clean, nicely decorated and plenty of space. The Christmas tree was such a pleasant bonus surprise especially for children. The kitchen and entire house is the best stocked I have seen with our many travels and several vacation homes we have stayed at. Location is excellent for zoo, Garden of Gods and parks. There are several nice restaurants close by but with little ones we opted take out and delivery. Now that we have family in Colorado Springs we will definitely request to stay in this beautiful home again.
Comfortable Stay in Historic North End Neighborhood
We were pleased to spend the week in an airy, comfortable home with ample room to spread out during our exploration of Colorado Springs, the Air Force Academy, Georgetown and Golden. Our hosts were welcoming and communicative. We would definitely stay there again
Lovely little home in a quiet neighborhood w/ great accessibility
We used this property for a small leadership retreat for our company. It offered good space for small gatherings and a nice property in a quiet neighborhood with close accessibility to lots of Colorado Springs offerings. The nicely remodeled kitchen and spacious backyard served as a beautiful backdrop for gatherings, conversations, and team photographs. Quiet, quaint, and quite lovely.
Host is very responsive, house is very quaint and neighborhood is great. We were in town for a wedding. The house was comfortable with a large kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 TV areas, an enclosed porch, deck, patio dining area, large backyard with a hot tub. Walks around the neighborhood were fun. Most dining locations we selected were within a 12 minute drive. Had our out-of-state friends been able to join us, the house would have been comfortable with another couple, their adult daughter and grandson.
Owners were very easy to deal with, short walk to Colorado College. We enjoyed the hot tub. Would recommend two people wanting a relatively large property near the college.
This was a great location and a fun location for a family reunion. We enjoyed being a walk away from several great coffee shops and hiking trails. The hosts were responsive and the house is well stocked for in home meal prep which we really enjoy.
Our family of four adults thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at this property. It would be great for longer stays as well.
The location of the property for us was perfect. A mile plus walk into the downtown area or a quick trip on one of the many LIME scooters can get you to many shops, eateries, and breweries. Close to grocery stores, etc. Short trips to get to all of the attractions like Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, and Old Colorado City. Neighborhood is very attractive and peaceful and quiet.
The house is lovingly decorated and maintained and the backyard is a private oasis making evening cocktails or morning coffee a delightful experience. Watching the hummers and squirrels made it entertaining.
There is so much room to spread out in the very clean interior. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with spices, etc. and having coffee and filters available was a welcome surprise.
We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again!!
We enjoyed our stay in Colorado Springs! This house was perfect for our family. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. The property owners were friendly and helpful. We would recommend and would stay here again.
Great home for a reunion & to attend a family wedding. Two parents and two young kids traveled from London and grandparents from FL. Fully stocked, easy to cook, do laundry and plenty of space to spread out!
We loved our stay at the property. The location is amazing, close to Garden of the Gods, lots of restaurants and coffee shops, and Manitou Springs. All the bedrooms were very clean and good sized. We enjoyed the hot tub and used it almost every night. The kitchen had everything we needed, even included some basic ingredients. I rent often from VRBO and this was one of the nicest properties I've stayed in. Thanks again!
We, a group of 4 moms from Chicago suburbs, really enjoyed our long weekend getaway at this charming house. The house had way more space than we needed, and we really enjoyed the spacious updated kitchen which we used to cook our Friendsgiving meal. The owners were very accommodating and even offered to rent us an extra night at the last minute when our travel plans changed. We opted to stay closer to the Denver airport as we arrived late, but it was so nice of them to offer to adjust our reservation less than 48 hours in advance! We loved exploring the gorgeous 19th and early 20th century homes in the neighborhood and the hot tub was a great treat after long days of exploring all the many outdoor parks in the Colorado Springs area. We really enjoyed our stay, just wish it could have been longer!
Our family convened in Colorado Springs for a week of fun together. I had found this place and reserved it for my wife and me and our adult kids back in December of 2019. We loved everything about this VRBO experience. Itâs a place we would stay again if we make it back to Colorado Springs.
Absolutely fabulous experience all around! Beautifully updated and maintained historic home. Modern, well-appointed kitchen for cooking our family Thanksgiving feast. Centrally located within short distance to myriad attractions. Even with the snow storm predictions, we had confidence that we'd be able to get in and out as needed given the downtown location and we were. Top notch communication from property owner.
This was truly the perfect rental for our holiday away from home. We loved our experience and hope to come back in the summer, too.
Thank you!
The house was incredibly cute and charming in a nice neighborhood! The kitchen was beautiful and the house has a good sized back yard. Downtown was just a short Uber ride away or a thirty minute walk.
We absolutely loved this home from the minute we walked in the door! It has the charm of an old house but has been totally updated....large, light-filled kitchen with everything you could ever need, plenty of extra sleeping space in addition to the three large bedrooms, and several other rooms so you can get away by yourself. The fenced-in backyard provides privacy for the huge yard, patio and deck.
The home is in a lovely area of town and we took many walks in the neighborhoods to view the beautiful historic homes. Also, the house is 2 blocks from a great place to get coffee, breakfast and lunch - we visited quite a few times! This location is within walking distance to downtown and the beautiful campus of Colorado College. There is also convenient access to the roads that take you to other parts of Colorado Springs and surrounds.
If we ever get back to CS we would definitely want to stay here again!
This beautiful home could not have been more perfect for our stay in CO Springs!! Perfect location, great communication with the owners and relaxing, cozy and beautiful home!!!
