We loved staying here! The flat was comfortable and had a lot of personality. We liked the large windows, which made it feel even bigger. We also liked that there were two single beds in one of the bedrooms, which was perfect for our two teenage kids. This is a neighborhood we've stayed in before (in a different flat that wasn't available this time), and we purposefully looked for somewhere to stay that was nearby because we like the area so much. There are plenty of shops and restaurants and good bus connections to other parts of the city, but it doesn't feel overrun by tourists. We also love that it's about a ten minute walk to Kensington Gardens, so there's a scenic route to walk if you want to walk further. We walked all the way home from the National Gallery one day, mostly through the parks. We would definitely choose to stay in this flat again!
First trip to London for family of four with two teens. The home was great, took us some time getting to and from tourist locations but allowed us to spread out when we were home after a day of walking, touring, etc. Kitchen was nice, we ate breakfast in, could use a few more mugs and spatulas for cooking. We enjoyed restaurants in the area like Walmer Castle and Ladbroke Arms and did our shopping at Sainsbury Local. Overall good experience.
We definitely had trouble the first time using the washer and couldnât find the instructions. After that we only washed light underwear and tshirts, nothing heavy. It would be nice if the listing stated the travel times to the main tourist locations. Travel times were a bit more than expected. But we were still happy. We would love to return to London for a longer period of time. Seems like a place you need to live to appreciate all it has to offer.
