à propos de cet hébergement
Estuary Cottage 50m from the sea at Point Quay
Be prepared for a very special stay. We've recently bought and beautifully renovated and refurnished the cottage. The interior oozes character with beamed ceilings, sumptuous velvety furnishings, and the sights and sounds of the sea on the doorstep.
3 lovely pubs nearby, local shop 5 min drive, Truro/Falmouth 15 mins drive. Ideally located to explore the beaches on the north and south coasts.
A hamper of local produce and essentials, basket of logs, and all linens provided.
Ideal for a family, couples or a small group of friends, the cottage is the middle one in a terrace of 3 traditional Cornish cottages built in 1860, located 50m from the sea, opposite the village orchard with the village green at the rear.
From the front door, you'll only need to walk a few paces to Point Quay to sit on one of the waterside benches for the most wonderful views right next to the sea (when the tide is in). The Quay is a haven for children and adults alike. You can jump in to the sea or go crabbing, itâs ideal for kayaking and paddleboarding (both can be borrowed during your stay), and the start of some fabulous scenic walks and cycles in our Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can find out more about what's nearby, a little further down this page.
Our calendar is always up to date. Please send your booking request and I'll reply almost straight away.
About the cottage:
As you enter, you'll walk into the cosy living room with 3 seater sofabed (will sleep 2 children or an adult comfortably), double sofa, 2 beanbags, plus plenty of cushions to keep you comfy.
You have views to the water, a log burner for cosy evenings in the glow of the fire, and TV/wifi.
Next youâll walk through to the dining room which is open plan to the kitchen. The farmhouse dining table seats 6, and the kitchen has all you could need; new Smeg electric hob and oven/grill, Bialetti moka pot and milk frother for the best Cornish coffees, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/drier. Youâll also find a WC downstairs.
The back door leads up to the private decking area with BBQ and table and chairs for al fresco entertainment. The deck then leads up to the pretty cottage garden.
Upstairs youâll find the first bedroom with a really comfy king size bed and lovely sea view. The second bedroom has 2 singles that can be made up as a double if required, en-suite WC, and patio doors leading out onto the deck. The new bathroom with shower and WC is between the bedrooms.
There is parking outside for 1 car and a few steps away by the village green for more.
Cot and highchair are available on request.
Pets:
Well behaved dogs are welcome and must be mentioned prior to booking. Please keep them off the soft furnishings. There is a dog fee of ÂŁ50 each per stay.

Qui vous reçoit ?
Vous ĂȘtes reçu par Nic Costa

We moved to Cornwall for a life of adventure by the sea with our children and absolutely love it here. Always on the hunt for secret coves, scenic walks and delicious foodie experiences. Kitesurf all year round, sail and completely addicted to the sea.
We live nearby, so will be on hand for advice on local secrets if needed.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
It's so close to the water, really cosy inside, and has a really private garden. The village green is directly behind for children that like a run around. The village orchard is directly in front, and Point Quay has the loveliest atmosphere when the tide is up, as you can jump straight into the sea, go kayaking and paddleboarding, or just watch the world go by. There are 3 local pubs within easy reach (one by kayak!!) and lots of walking and cycling to be had from the doorstep.
Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?
The location is really hard to beat. We live close by and still pinch ourselves every day about how lucky we are to live here. We've refurbed the whole house. Not just to let out, we've added lots of love and character in as well. It's been a big project, but we're so happy with the way it has turned out, and have had so many compliments and great reviews on other sites!
As a reward, we've spent quite a few evenings enjoying the house ourselves (testing it all out) as it's now nicer than our place!!
