Great Location for spring skiing
We really enjoyed our stay! The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk up the hill to Canyon Lodge—which made getting on the mountain super convenient. Communication with the property manager was seamless and very responsive. While the condo has a more classic feel and the beds weren’t the most plush, everything was clean and well-maintained. Overall, it was a great value for the location and made for a very smooth and enjoyable trip.

Great stay at Mammoth
We had a great stay at this condo. Location was just what we wanted, short walk to the slopes. Loved the gas fireplace so we didn’t have to mess with wood. Very comfortable and clean. AV I felt could use some updates but overall great stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed this pet friendly condo, especially being in the back with all the windows facing the open space. We spent Christmas 2025 up there and found the fireplace, hearth and mantle perfect for hanging lights and our stockings up. It’s a bit of an uphill walk to Canyon but nice to ski down with plenty of snow which we certainly had. As others stated, the TV is way too small and difficult to work, especially trying to use Netflix and its not a smart TV and for how much we paid and how many prior comments there were addressing it for months, I’m very surprised. Smart TV’S are very cheap and unfortunately with such blizzard conditions over most of the time we were there and the mountain closed for two days, it would have been nice to watch some movies. However, overall, we enjoyed the comfort of the unit, jacuzzi, plowing of the driveway and underground garage.

Cozy, convenient and easy stay at Silver Bear! This is a great location - 5 minute walk to Canyon Lodge, underground secure parking, elevator, ski locker and spacious, dog friendly condo. This place is well appointed (so happy about all hooks for gear) and perfect for families. I am always worried about pet friendly condos not being as clean or having strong cleaning fragrances to mask the pet smells, but this condo was perfectly clean and comfortable. The unit is one floor above ground, so taking your dogs out requires going downstairs or using the elevator which was totally fine for us, but isn't as easy as just opening the front door however not difficult to get down for a quick potty break even for our senior dog. The fireplace and heater work great, water pressure was good, beds were firm, but comfortable and appliances were on the newer side. We very much enjoyed our stay and would book again. All that being said, it is an older unit and there is some wear and tear, but nothing that was a deal breaker. We have stayed at numerous properties in the area and the fancy hotel in Mammoth Village and this was probably our favorite location, all things considered -especially if you have older kids/teens who can come and go from the mountain easily.

Perfect Location
Our family of 4 loved staying here. Just a couple minutes walk to the lifts make it easy to take breaks in the condo throughout the day. Very clean and quiet corner unit with big windows to watch the snow. We appreciated being able to bring our dog with us. We will be back again soon!

We loved our stay here. Our family of 4 had more than enough room. The unit was quiet and we were walking distance to Canyon Lodge. Would stay here again for sure! Minor issue - we lost internet for about a day (didnt seem like it was any fault of the owners but something to be aware of in Mammoth)

Just as advertised. Clean and convenient. My kids enjoyed the fun sledding area right outside the unit, and walkable to Canyon Lodge.

Close to everything we needed. Unit was clean, well stocked and so convenient. The garage also has a tall entrance and clearnace 7'3" allowing us to keep our roof box on our truck. Perfect!! Would definitely rebook.

Place is a great location and large
Very nice, place very roomy, changing the door lock to your own code because there's is like 15 digits is a royal pain in the butt. All appliances are very nice, Family room TV also a royal pain with three giant remotes that I found impossible to use. The bedroom was a simple single remote and worked great.

Great place to stay at Mammoth
This is a comfortable property, near the lifts and Canyon Lodge. In the summer, we enjoyed walking our dogs up to the ski area and walking around the parking lot since it was quiet. The condo is quite large and is an end unit with extra windows. No air conditioning, but it was breezy so opening windows cooled us off in the afternoon and evening. It's pretty close to town so convenient to get to the grocery store. We made several dinners for the four of us.

Exactly as it seems!
Great condo for a great price! The property outside of the condo had some maintenance going on that was not labeled at all (remove carpet on stairs so nails were poking out, hot tub closed off, chemicals on areas of the grounds) but absolutely no complaints with the condo itself! Great location and nice size.

While many complexes in Mammoth such as The Village, Juniper Springs Lodge, and The Westin resemble hotels, they are in fact condo complexes in which every home is individually and privately owned. There are more than a dozen property managers operating the thousands of condos in these three complexes alone. Common area maintenance or construction in neighboring units is out of our control and typically we are not given any advance warning about planned work around the properties we manage.
Our program is one that strives to deliver as close to a hotel-like experience for our owners and guests as possible, within the constraints of being located off property. We provide our property owners with unparalleled personal attention and a unique, boutique approach to vacation rental management we like to call Hospitality Management.

Perfect family getaway
Wanted a warm and cozy condo for our families Christmas getaway and this condo was perfect. Beautiful snowy views from their windows. Warm and inviting living room with beautiful fireplace. Walking distance to Canyon Lodge. Kitchen was not stocked as fully as we hoped but we got creative. Overall it was perfect and we had a wonderful time. Here is the list of items we require owners to stock their property with. Items are typically restocked in the fall each year. If during your stay, you find any of these items to be damaged or missing, give us a call. We will be happy to purchase a replacement and drop off at the unit.

Great spot
The place is bigger than it looks in the pictures. Roomy with comfortable beds. Close to the canyon lodge lift, but note it’s a little uphill and then downhill walk to the lift. Overall not bad, but kind of annoying after a long day of skiing when you’re tired. It is dated, the tv would freeze up often, and the fridge ice maker and water spicket were broken. Overall, large roomy and well located spot for the price. Would stay again!

This property is footsteps away from the lifts! The property itself isn’t the cleanest place we’ve stayed… having dirty dishes in the cupboards, cobwebs hanging from the dining room lights, dusty areas specifically the glass dining room shelves and glasses and the carpeting is stained and ripped throughout. The WiFi is horrible and the main living room television goes in and out. It was overall an ok stay.

Unfortunately, this guest never contacted our office to give us an opportunity to correct any of these issues. If you have trouble during your stay, I encourage you to contact your VR manager while you are in the property, as they may well be prepared to handle your concerns. We have 18 full time staff members in our housekeeping, maintenance and guest services departments who we can call upon to resolve problems. If this happens, or if you are concerned about problems with a unit you are considering, please call our offices at Mammoth Five Star Lodging. We have staff available by phone or email, 7 days/week, 9am-6pm (Pacific) to ensure you book exactly the property you want and to address issues that may come up during your stay. We are happy to help if you will just give us the chance.
Mammoth Lakes is a small (4 square miles), rural town of just 7000 permanent residents. Our town receives Internet service over one of just two fibre-optic trunks and the available bandwidth to the town as a whole is based on that small population. On busy weekends we can get up to 40,000 visitors and everyone in town must share the same Internet trunk. Mammoth's rural Internet service works just like old style cable Internet- it slows down when all the neighbors use it at once. We are unable to improve Internet speeds as we are not the provider, just a customer for another company's product. Fantastic Week!
The entire experience was really wonderful. Check-in/out was super easy, the unit was very spacious and satisfied all our needs. Completely clean and comfortable. Our only "complaint" is the TV was quite small and had glitchy audio. I realize that people are mostly here for the outdoor activities, but we had kids with us and the Olympics on in the morning and evening. That could be an easy and cheap upgrade. However, this place was fantastic and we loved every moment there!

Ski stay in Blizzard
Roomy and clean condo, well stocked kitchen and paper goods. Two windows found boarded at checkin because of snow build up all the way up against window. Stuck in condo for two days due to storm. 1 day without power and 2 days no internet/WiFi. Would have been nice to have games in condo. Mgt company responsive to requests for updates, but no offer to credit due to 2/4 day inconvenience. Overall would recommend.

While we don't have control over the town's municipal snow removal services (or the hand shoveling managed by the Homeowner's Association in this residential condo complex), we do understand that the heavy snowfall that commonly occurs here in Mammoth can be a shock to visitors. Please remember that during periods of excessive snowfall, the town prioritizes major roads and access to emergency services (such as the hospital, fire and police stations) over residential areas and the smaller roads. This practice can cause delays in clearing snow from driveways and walkways. (Hand shoveling crews need clear roads and parking lots before they can arrive and do their work, for example.) While we are sorry this guest was inconvenienced, we want to emphasize that heavy snowfall is a fact of life at 9000' in the Sierra's in winter, and is why Mammoth Lakes is the winter wonderland it is. We understand that guests may not be familiar with the challenges of living in a snowy environment, but please exercise patience with locals who work throughout these storms to dig the town out and keep things moving.
To help our guests better prepare for their stay, we recommend that they be equipped with appropriate clothing and footwear for icy & snowy conditions and be prepared to deal with the impact of all that snow on other aspects of life, such as limited parking, extra time to warm up vehicles and clear snow, installing chains, and dealing with icy/slippery walkways. We appreciate your understanding and hope that you enjoyed your overall experience in our town.

Dated condo
It was very dated! Some of the windows were broken and did not work. Some of the blinds also did not work. The Wi-Fi was the worst, spotty at best! Kitchen poorly equipped. Beds and pillows were very uncomfortable and very outdated. Location is great, but not worth the stay.

We are so sorry this guest was unhappy! We always strive to make every guest stay as perfect as possible, inspecting every property twice between every departure/arrival. Our staff are human of course, and so even if we hit 95%, that still leaves some issues from time to time for guests to contend with. Sometimes the guest's expectations and the property they chose aren't a great fit. It seems that's the case here.
This is an older, pet friendly property which is located adjacent to the ski lifts at Canyon Lodge. It is very popular with folks who want to bring the whole family and hit the slopes. It is exactly as photographed and described in the ads, and it is priced appropriately in our market for its size, features and condition (including the furniture). If you are looking for a high end property, we offer those as well, they are priced accordingly.
This guest stayed during a record snow year and snow shedding off the building broke a window just prior to this guest's arrival. The window needed to be boarded up, which we communicated to the guest. It's unfortunate of course, but part of winter living in the Sierra's. The glass has been ordered and will be installed ASAP.
Mammoth Lakes is a small (4 square miles), rural town of just 7000 permanent residents. Our town receives Internet service over one of just two fibre-optic trunks and the available bandwidth to the town as a whole is based on that small population. On busy weekends we can get up to 40,000 visitors and everyone in town must share the same Internet trunk. Mammoth's rural Internet service works just like old style cable Internet- it slows down when all the neighbors use it at once. We are unable to improve Internet speeds as we are not the provider, just a customer for another company's product. We do require property owners to purchase high speed Internet with minimum speeds sufficient for streaming, but when competing with the neighbors, there is nothing we can do.
Beds are one of those things that is VERY personal. Some people like beds more firm, some more soft. One guest will LOVE the beds, and the next might hate them. We do not get bed complaints often about any one property, if we did we'd encourage the owner to replace it.
