We have increased cleaning schedules and very specialist antibacterial products are being used to ensure a very thorough deep clean between rentals.

A stylish, elegant retreat offering peace and tranquility . The house is a stunningly appointed light filled home that seamlessly blends traditional and modern.
A long private drive leads to the lovely gardens that wrap around the house with a sun terrace that lends itself to lazy lunches.
An ideal place to relax and unwind.

A slice of countryside paradise

Wonderful escape for a very special occasion that offered a little something special for all generations in our family. From the beautiful interiors, thoughtful touches (welcome gifts for the kids and adults, as well as a welcome message from the owners) to the friendly and accommodating house manager, the bachelors lodge was the perfect getaway. So much space, and various activities to enjoy on the grounds we didn't want to leave! Thanks for such a wonderful stay. We hope to visit again soon, Dina

Family Time in the Fresh Air

Bachelors Lodge is the perfect place to get away from the city and spend time with family. Nick, Tamsin, and Sophie have thought of everything that could possibly be wanted or needed. The house itself is beautiful and more than adequately stocked for a family. The property and the gardens have plenty of space to have fun and explore! The kids loved the electric tractors, the yurt, the trampoline, and the paddling pool...hours of endless fun. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness and attention to all details! Bachelors Lodge is a wonderful place for a family - we'd love to come back - maybe even when we can put the cosy fireplace to work!

This property was fantastic, beautiful . Very clean and well kept, host and property owner went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay. Would highly recommend. We had very sad faces when leaving. We will be booking Bachelors Lodge again!

Annual family get-together

The arrival arrangements went very smoothly and we were impressed on arrival with all the welcoming touches, such as eggs, bread, butter, tea and coffee etc. The children loved the electric tractors, trampoline and table tennis. A wonderful stay.

What a great find, we will be back

Easiest 5 star review we have written!! Tamsin and Nick have created a beautiful and very comfortable holiday home, finished to the highest standard and really well thought out. The house is very well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen, luxury bedding and towels, plenty of board games for evenings in front of the log burner and the winning features for us, the gin trolley (for the grown-ups) and the electric ride-on tractors (a huge hit with our 3 boys!). We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely try to come back. We'd highly recommend this house for both families and groups of friends. You will be given a really warm welcome and nothing will be too much trouble!

We adore Suffolk. We live in Bachelors Hall with our family and lovely dog Simba after moving from London when our children were small. We simply couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Suffolk is a gem, very much understated and the perfect place to call home.

Bachelors Lodge sits in the grounds of our home and we thought we would like to share a corner of this tranquil part of Suffolk with you.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Bachelors lodge has been recently renovated to a very high standard and specifically for the holiday market. Its the height of luxury with beautiful beds, gorgeous linens, sumptuous sofas, fresh flowers and a house manager who is available to help you with anything you require to make your stay perfect and if that is not enough there is a complimentary drinks trolley ... Yes the drinks are on the house!
The gardens wrap around the house and lead onto meadows which in spring are full of wild flowers. Perfect for your family, friends and dogs to play in and explore. We have a trampoline, four electric tractors which are a huge hit among our younger guests. We have ping pong for our older guests . We have three fire pits and plenty of wood which are perfect to sit around while enjoying a snifter and gazing at the stars in the huge Suffolk skies. We also have a large cart lodge which houses the ping pong but is a large creative space where celebrations can be organised. We have seating for a large number of people and heating. If you wanted to plan an event just talk to Sophie our house manager. We have two bedrooms that are perfect for small children. One has a cot/ toddler bed and also contains a single bed, the other room has two singles that can be joined to make a large double. Both rooms are perfect for younger and older guests. We have plenty of books and toys for our younger guests , high chairs, travel cots, changing mats and baby baths.
We have a downstairs bedroom with views over the garden with a King Size bed. We love this room. Next to this room is a shower room with a walk in shower, both perfect for those that struggle to get up the stairs.
We have two beautiful living rooms as well as a fabulous kitchen so there is lots of room in this amazing luxurious house. We love it, we think you will too!
