Nice property but very moldy inside. When my son entered he began counting spiders. He stopped at 15 but estimated that there mustâve been 30 spiders in the stairwell and main hallway. Now I like spiders and would never kill one, but I realize thatâs not for everyone. I would trap them and put them outside.
There was no WiFi. Zero, we connected to the router but that had no connection to the Internet. Also there was very limited cell phone service, so mobile hotspot was spotty.
We were completely unable to contact the landlord any time during our stay.
Also, we took the train to there, thus no car. There are no restaurants, no stores anywhere nearby to be found. We walked a good bit to try to find places but eventually had to use a cab, or long walks for everything in the area.
On the good side, it was peaceful, roomy, and the TV worked well.
A cosy base with all we needed for a lovely stay in a lovely area. A nice welcome package of flowers, drinks and biscuits, along with a few extras - cooking oil and tea bags. Impressed with the kitchen area, which was well stocked with equipment to enable easy self catering. Denise was a very thoughtful host, willing to respond quickly to questions. One point to note - we didn't want one, but there isn't a hot tub!
We had a lovely few days in Denise's cottage. It's in a peaceful little village and a great spot for exploring this part of Dorset. We recommend the Sailors Return pub in Chaldon Herring - great food!
Lovely little property in a nice friendly quant little Dorset village, ideally placed to explore Dorset. Denise was a wonderful host and the garden was a peaceful sun trap.
Uniquely situated opposite St Michaels Church is the quintessential village of Owermoigne. Ideally located to explore the delights of West Dorset. Just a 3 miles hike to the coast through breathtaking countryside.
