Good location-close to train station. BUT there is a boat docked alongside this rental-so you cannot see the water from inside the boat. There is limited outdoor space on top of the boat where you can observe the other ‘boat’. Clean, pleasant interactions with hosts. Just not what we expected from a houseboat experience

Terrific location a short walk from Centraal. Friendly hosts- other occupant was quiet, boat secure. Steep stairs to enter-consider if accessibility is an issue.

Fun trip to Amsterdam

Was looking for something unique, comfortable and quiet while being in the heart of Amsterdam. Casper's place fit the bill and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Very relaxing!

Perfect location, quiet but central

We stayed three nights (family of four) in Casper’s boat. The location is perfect, short walk to/from Centraal Station and easy to get to everything within the city. Casper’s communication was top-notch and the accommodations on the boat were exactly as advertised. Highly recommended.

Casper Delivers

Casper was the consummate host and delivered an excellent VRBO experience. Boat is as advertised and centrally located to all things Amsterdam. Will stay at his boat again. Highly recommend.

Reasonably priced accommodations near Centraal

Beds were comfortable and clean. Each room had a shower with a separate toilet. Kitchen was well stocked. Heads up that there’s no soap or shampoo in the showers.

From the outside it didn't look like much but inside was clean and spacious. Be sure to bring shampoo and soap as it is not supplied.

Houseboat Apartment

This was a fun and different experience to stay at the houseboat apartment. It was very clean and comfortable and Casper was a terrific host. He met us for checking in and gave us a quick tour of the boat. I loved that he lives in the front of the boat if there are problems. The location was perfect for shopping, dining and being so close to many attractions. Thank you for hosting us!

Awesome in Amsterdam!

Highly recommend this wonderful houseboat to everyone! The two bedroom unit is all new, beautiful furnishings and well appointed kitchen. Each bedroom has its own shower! Excellent! Caspar is a gracious and lovely host….check in is seamless….as is check out. Will return to this lovely boat and recommend it to friends…thank you!

Great location. Boat itself was “ok.”

Hosts were welcoming and responsive.The interior of the boat could do with some “freshing up.”The floors and table were stained and the roof was leaking in several spots.I also had expected to have showergel&shampoo provided but that was not the case.

Quelle déception !

Points positifs : emplacement de la péniche - propreté de l'appartement Points négatifs : environnement (épaves de bateaux) et aspect extérieur de la péniche (plastique sur le toit tenu par des pierres) - accès difficile à l'appartement et surtout (escalier très raide) Impossible pour les personnes à mobilité réduite. Les hublots sont rouillés. Bizarre qu'aucun commentaire ne mentionne ces désagréments ! Vraiment nous avons été déçus quand nous avons vu la péniche.

Tolle Lage

Die Lage des Bootes ist toll, nah an der Innenstadt, am Bahnhof, an Museen, alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Wohnküche ist schön geräumig, so dass am gut zu mehreren am Tisch sitzen bzw. sich dort aufhalten kann, auch an Regentagen. Alles sauber und in den Betten haben wir gut geschlafen.

Unique experience/Houseboat stay

This houseboat is a great location near Central Station. The host is very responsive and friendly. The 2 bedrooms each have a shower but toilet is separate and shared. Beds were comfortable, one has 2 twins and one has 2 twins pushed together. Kitchen was spacious..has medium size frig, stove, dishwasher but no microwave or freezer. The steps going down into the boat are very steep but once inside it was very quiet .. Thank you Casper for a great stay

Outside area needs upkeep.

I loved the whole experience of being on a houseboat and the location was exceptional. Just in need of a little love. Fresher towels, outside furniture dangerously broken down, cleaning up area from ground trash. Casper was helpful.

Our stay in Amsterdam…

Great time in Amsterdam, and on the Houseboat. The weather couldn’t have cooperated any better. We were centrally located, with most sights relatively close by - a quick walk to the Central Train Station for further exploration - Thank You Casper!

Wonderful houseboat

Caspar made us feel very welcome. He met us and showed us all around the houseboat, gave us a couple of excellent restaurant recommendations, and he even checked in with us after a while to see how we were doing. The houseboat was so comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. I would recommend it to other people.
