Poppy 4* - Quiet and relaxing cottage in a courtyard, perfect for families

Nestled along a quiet country lane, amidst fields and woodland lies a charming ancient farm conversion retaining many of its original features. Wisteria is one of three cottages, alongside the Manoir, which surround a beautiful, calm and safe private courtyard. Vines and climbing flowering plants create privacy between the cottages.

Poppy sleeps 4 in a double and twin, oak beamed, bedrooms.

The whole site encompasses the Manoir and cottages, Sunflower, Wisteria and Poppy, which are individually available or can be booked for large groups with exclusive use of all the facilities. The courtyard enables groups to socialise together yet the cottages gives flexibility and space for guests to relax on their own.

Poppy offers very comfortable living, in a cosy open plan sitting and dining room with a very well equipped and fully fitted integrated kitchen. The cottage benefits from its own private terrace with patio furniture and a barbecue to help make outdoor living fun. There is a wood burning stove for the cooler evenings.

Poppy has shared access to the large swimming pool (11m x 5m) with sun-loungers and parasols. The pool is nestled within a large garden which provides plenty of space to enjoy outdoor games such as football, badminton, rounders. In addition there is a Boules area, swings and a full-sized table tennis table.

The gardens have a variety of apple, plum, kiwi, hazelnut and walnut trees which alongside an abundance of local wildlife, including wild deer, red squirrels and many birds of prey that can be seen in the grounds, makes the location a haven for nature lovers. The warm, clear nights give a spectacular view of the star constellations adding to the overall tranquillity of Malbernat.

The games room has a pool table, football table and a wide selection of board games.

Pets are very welcome.

Quality bed linen, blankets, towels and beach towels (for the pool) are provided. Cots, baby baths, highchairs, changing mats, potties and a stair gate are available as are washing machines, irons & ironing boards.

English-speaking owners are discreetly on site - available to provide advice as to what's available in the area and to help in any way they can to make your holiday as great as it can be.
