Beautifully decorated. Perfect for a girls weekend trip. We had planned on visiting Asheville but never made it due to the wonderful finds in Hendersonville! Lovely little town! We were in awe! Loved the porch….especially when the rain came. We hope to come back!

The apartment was so clean & exactly as described. We especially enjoyed the verandah. So relaxing & spacious.The host was readily available to answer any questions before & during our short stay. Thank you.Proximity to Hendersonville was a plus. Great VRBO & nice town of Hendersonville to visit.

Anniversary Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this property close to downtown Hendersonville. There are several great restaurants nearby. It’s about a 35 min drive to Asheville. The rental was very clean and easy to find.

Very musty odor throughout that doesn't go away. Even after showering I didn't really feel clean because of that. The porch is this property's best feature. Challenging to get the mini-splits maintain the temperature you want. Kitchen is very basic. The stairs to enter this place are rickety and don't have proper railings. Bed linens nice. Bath linens were basic and we were given too few. Excessive decorating everywhere makes one wonder how they can dust effectively. Host was not welcoming. I have no idea how this property received the good reviews I read.

Truly a Southern charm!! The home was perfect with a lovely and comfortable veranda!! Could not have been in a better location to the quaint and artsy town of Hendersonville and our host was a delight!!!

Beautiful home; relaxing stay!

Very enjoyable stay. Tastefully decorated and well maintained. Very spacious and cozy. Owner was very attentive and provided interesting information about the property's history. Also provided various discounts for area attractions and shops. Would definitely return to this location and recommend it to friends and family.

Close to Downtown

The quaint property was very close to Downtown Hendersonville. The house was immaculate, and Elizabeth was very prompt in answering any questions we had.

Great location and great space!

We really enjoyed our stay in Brightwater. The place is full of charm and was super clean. The beds were very comfy as well. We will stay there again for sure on our next visit to the area!

Clean and comfortable

Enjoyed our stay. House was super clean and well appointed with comfortable beds. Easy to check in and out. This property is close to a busy road which was not very relaxing. No Mountain View.

Great House and Location

We loved staying at the stone house. It was such a central location for all the hiking during the day and town at night. The veranda was wonderful! We spent 90% of the time we were awake there. We would highly recommend this house.

Best vacation property we've ever had!

This property was fantastic; secluded location but only 15 minutes from downtown. Having Elisabeth meet us there with info about the property and recommendations of things to do was a nice surprise. We will definitely stay here again next trip to the mountains.

Fabulous!

This property is gorgeous and very comfortable. I don't think we've ever stayed at a rental that was decorated so beautifully; there were even tasteful Christmas decorations. Everything is as described and exceeded our expectations. The porch is especially nice, and we enjoyed brunch out there. I highly recommend everything about this property and hope to return in the warm weather!

The property was clean, well maintained with a great layout and great amenities.

We rented this property for an extended girls weekend and couldn’t have been more pleased! It was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The bedrooms were large and each had its own private bath. The large enclosed sunroom was bright, nicely decorated and overlooked snow covered trees. During our visit, a foot of snow fell over about 10 hours. Elisabeth plowed the drive, shoveled the steps, made a path to our car and even cleaned off the car so we didn’t have to. Top notch service and beautiful accommodations. We highly recommend!

Wonderful weekend getaway

We stayed in the Verandah property for the weekend while meeting friends in Asheville for a music concert and it was exactly what we were looking for. We didn't want to stay in a hotel and were hoping to find something a bit more off the beaten path, but close enough to Asheville and the surrounding towns. Elisabeth met us upon check-in and gave us a nice overview of the house and its history, then gave us some great recommendations for things to do in the area while we were in town. Like other reviewers have mentioned, she is very knowledgeable and friendly and the pictures of the house really do not do it justice. We had a wonderful night's sleep both nights and our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! We did learn that she actually has a handful of different rentals available and now we are considering one of her family friendly cabins to bring the kids along for a summer vacation.

The place was very nice and well decorated. Lots of space for two couples. Host was generous to meet us at property and help with local sightseeing as well as restaurant choices.

A Gem among the Fall Colors

What a perfect place to enjoy a long weekend. Historic and beautifully renovated and decorated, this second floor unit with veranda was perfect for the four of us. We covered a lot of territory, from Biltmore to Flowering Bridge to Hickory Hill. Elisabeth was the perfect hostess. Follow her suggestions for restaurants! Some of the best food I’ve ever had!
