We are disappointed to see that your stay at Wildwood Corner Cabin did not meet your expectations. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few of the concerns you raised, as we care deeply about our guests’ experience and always strive to be responsive, welcoming, and attentive. Check-in and access: Our guest notebook includes both of our cell phone numbers, as well as the property manager’s contact information. Detailed keypad instructions were also provided in the check-in information and again through VRBO messaging with important reminders. After your family had been in the property for 10 days or so, we noticed, through our lock system App that you were having difficulty accessing the cabin, we reached out promptly and provided additional guidance. Once we were able to connect with you, access to the cabin was restored immediately. Pets: We were not notified prior to or during the reservation process that pets would be accompanying you for the 30-day stay. Our pet policy and applicable pet fee are part of the initial reservation process. Our landscaping team and neighbors reported a significant number of areas of lawn damage. We reached out simply to ask that the dogs remain leashed and, when possible, be taken to areas such as the woods, mulch, creek area, bushes, etc. Our intention was to address the concern respectfully and preserve the property for all of our future guests. We hoped that by waiving the Pet fees for you, it would make up for your other frustrations. AC: We understand how important comfortable temperatures are, particularly during Asheville’s brutally hot recent summer. When you first contacted us regarding the AC, we responded promptly with troubleshooting suggestions and asked that you LET US KNOW whether the situation improved. We did not receive a further response at that time. When we later spoke with you, we specifically asked whether there were any other concerns we could address, and you again mentioned the AC and your preference for a nighttime temperature of 69 degrees. We immediately contacted our HVAC provider, and the necessary service and repairs were completed within 48 hours. Communication: We’re also sorry that the property manager’s contact information was not readily apparent during your stay. It is posted on the refrigerator and included in the guest notebook, specifically so that assistance is readily available when needed. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed our beautiful neighborhood, and genuinely wish your stay had been a more positive experience for you. We appreciate feedback, as it gives us an opportunity to continue improving the guest experience at Wildwood Corner Cabin. We hope you’ll consider visiting our beautiful part of Asheville again in the future.
