We are sorry to hear that Holly did not enjoy her stay. In over 8 years of hosting guests at our property, this is the first complaint of this nature we have received, which we feel is important for future guests to know. Our home is supplied by well water, which is very common in our area. At times, this can cause minor rust staining due to natural minerals in the water, but the water is tested and safe. We thoroughly inspected the property after departure and did not find stained bedding or unclean conditions as described. Internet service in our rural area is provided through Verizon and, while generally reliable, occasional fluctuations are unfortunately outside of our control. When notified, we immediately rebooted the router and contacted Verizon to confirm there were no service issues. Our listing also clearly states that personal consumable items such as shampoo and coffee are not provided, as many guests prefer to bring their own brands and supplies. Even so, we promptly went to the store to purchase requested items in an effort to accommodate the guest. Regarding the shortened stay, Holly had previously inquired months earlier about departing early, but we explained at that time that holiday weekends require a 3-night minimum stay due to our short seasonal rental window. We also appreciate you mentioning the well water and your understanding. This summer brought an extremely rare drought to our area, which can sometimes cause a temporary sulfur odor. Rebecca. Thank you for the review. We value your feedback as we want to make our guest's experience is as enjoyable as possible. To clarify to future renters, there are 3 spacious bedrooms (2 queen and 1 king), that accommodate 6 guests. Should you be looking for additional guest space, there is another suite with bed, bath, living and kitchen on the ground level for a fee. The air conditioners are in the windows of each bedroom and on the main floor. If windows are kept closed, it remains very cool in the home. Additional bath towels will be added. As for the well water, the home uses a private well that is routinely treated and safe. During extreme dry spells, like the one we experienced this past summer, a temporary mineral odor can occur, though this is uncommon.
