We rally enjoyed our 4 night stay in Padstow and staying at Heron Cottage added to the enjoyment. Itâs in a great location for exploring the town. The home is charming and very well equipped. Weâd definitely stay here again!
Location perfect - central but still a quiet street. Although had to pay for parking it was only a short walk away and you can unload your car right outside. The property fantastic - every room beautiful. We couldnât fault it. We cooked whilst there and found all the amenities we needed.Highly recommended
Heron Cottage is a lovely place to stay. It's spacious and very well equipped with everything we needed. Plusses for us included the yard outside with nice space to sit; a nice range of games and books; lots of cuddly blankets and comfy sofas. The hosts had left us a delicious homemade cake which was really appreciated. The road is a little noisy intermittently at night, but otherwise the location is brilliant. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would wholeheartedly recommend Heron Cottage and are grateful to the hosts for our stay.
We stayed for a week at Clareâs wonderful house right in the middle of Padstow. The house was immaculately clean and had every amenity you could ask for. All the rooms are spacious, light and bright, and have been newly decorated.
There was even a home made cake to welcome us.
The location of the house is perfect for walking to all the bars and shops in Padstow. And you can hop on a bus so easily to get to nearby beaches and attractions.
We cannot recommend the house highly enough, and will definitely be going back. Clare is also extremely quick to respond to any questions you may have.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Heron Cottage in Padstow. We can't say enough good stuff about it. The house is beautiful. Very clean. It's right next door to a fantastic restaurant and minutes away from the shopping center.
We had 5 people in our group, and it was plenty big enough. A quick walk to parking.
We had never been to Cornwall before, so we did a number of day trips, including one to Port Isaac, but we discovered that Padstow itself is the best town around. It has great stores and ice cream shops.
Clare is very nice and was very responsive.
We will definitely be back.
Annual girls trip was made an absolute success by our short stay at Heron House. The house has plenty of space, beautifully clean and had everything we needed. Added bonus a very tasty cake to greet us. Big thank you to Clare and Mike.
We were exhibiting at the Royal Cornwall Show and it was the perfect house for us, the host handled any extra's we needed straight away and made the whole experience amazing.
Wir haben die 1 Woche Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft genossen. Sie liegt direkt im Herzen vom Padstow.
Die Ausstattung war völlig ausreichend und es hat an nichts gefehlt.
Sehr zu empfehlen.
Beautiful property, tastefully presented, the potential early check in is very handy, although the weather was good when we arrived and filled our time playing crazy golf. Personal touches, cider and home baked tea loaf very welcome. We had no problem parking at the Lawn car park which is very close. Would definitely recommend and would like to return.
The house provided us with a good base for our holiday ,right in the town and we were able to park very close in a public car park .There was always plenty of water but the owners were unable to provide baby equipment so we had to take our own and a tumble dryer would have been appreciated having two small children in our party .
The property looked like it had been refurbished recently ,the beds were comfy and bedding and linens in good condition
Couldnât have been more delighted with this beautiful cottage right in the middle of Padstow so close to everything! The house was spacious, immaculately decorated and appointed. Clare was easily contactable and helpful. What a treat to arrive and find a home baked fruit loaf and some local beer as a welcome gift! The beds were really comfy and the bathrooms were beautiful and spacious. The towels and linens were of top quality too. The view from the top floor was amazing. We were on a 4 day break from our busy lives and we all came home refreshed and ready to face normality ( although, of course, we didnât really want to leave!). We will definitely book Heron Cottage again!
This is a delightful property, well equipped and presented, with superb estuary views from the top bedroom .Location is perfect, only two minutes walk to the harbour and all its restaurants and shops, and less than a minute to the closest of Mr.Steinâs eating establishments!Convenient car parking only a few minutes walk up the hill .Altogether a really great holiday base, we loved it!
We didnât know Padstow so didnât really know what to expect but the house was so well positioned and so near the centre - but equally was off the main drag and therefore quiet. The house has been completely upgraded and is comfortable and spacious with everything you could need - kitchen appliances etc. Plenty of shower rooms and loos and lots of space. A gorgeous place and we had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful house
A 5 star property. A very nice and comfortable property in a good location in Padstow. Very close (2 minutes walk) to the harbour without being right in the middle of things. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Decor, fixtures and fittings were all very good. Nice bedding and towels. The house was ideal for our family of five but, as advertised, there would have been enough room for eight if required. Steep and narrow stairs to the top floor and parking a couple of hundred metres away in a local car park, means it might not work so well for anyone with mobility issues but we had no problem with loading or unloading. Owners were very helpful and answered the few questions we had very promptly. Overall a great property.
Very nicely renovated and done to a high spec. The townhouse had everything we needed. Very efficient owners and very nice cleaners at the end! If only the English weather had been as good as the property!
Property has been renovated to a very high standard. Very comfortable beds, sofas, large bathrooms with very good showers. Fully equipped kitchen and lovely dinner service. Everything you could want plus beautiful view over the estuary from top bedroom. Only suggestion, which I don't think is on the property description is that the stairs to the top bedroom are steep and narrow, but worth the climb for the lovely view!
We really enjoyed our stay at 8 New Street in Padstow. The house is modern, very clean and comfortable. The location is second to none. Right in the heart of Padstow. No need to drive at all. We loved the court yard garden for a glass of wine in the evening.
We ate at Burger and Fish, Embers Pizza, St Petrocâs Bistro and The Harbour Kitchen. The food at Burger and Fish was our favourite.
We would definitely love to return.
We stayed October half term. The property has ample space to accomodate 8 or two families. We were 5 and had plenty of space. It's minutes from the harbour and all the attractions. No parking but the car park only a couple of minutes walk.
When we walked in to the property we all got the WOW feeling its was beautiful , great location great view from the top bedroom just lovely
just one comment too many doors going in the open plan rooms
We farm across the estuary near Polzeath. We bought Heron Cottage in 2018 and have completely refurbished it. We think we have thought of everything to make it a great holiday home, but please let us know if there is something you think we need to improve. Mike & Clare Parnell
Fabulous location right in Padstow Old Town - perfect for shops, restuaurants, beaches & lots of activities. This house is spacious, cosy and well equipped. The enclosed garden is a great place to unwind with a glass of wine at the end of the day. The views from the second floor en-suite bedroom are amazing
Heron Cottage is perfect for families or for groups of friends. Food in Padstow ranges from yummy fish & chips to great meals in the many traditional pubs to Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant and Michelin-star dining at Paul Ainsworth's acclaimed No 6. There are great shops plus people-watching on the harbour, fantastic walks, cycles and water-sports and everything that is great about a holiday in Cornwall
