The spectacular beaches and rocky coves around Marloes are well-known for many historic shipwrecks, caused by the treacherous seas surrounding Skokholm Island, just off the coast. Marloes Sands, a National Trust beach with spectacular geology is certainly worth a visit, as is Skomer Island, where you can take a boat trip to view its 6,000 pair of puffins and 120,000 pairs of Manx Shearwaters.
