The family and I loved the house and town. Very good access to Lewes and Rehoboth beaches, both about 30 minute drives. Walking access to stores and restaurants in Milton, as well as the riverfront park, where i caught a nice largemouth bass. We'd love to return
We had a wonderful stay at Suds and Sand! The location was ideal for us; we walked to Dough Bar, Tequila Real, Irish Eyes, and took a short drive to Dogfish Head to see and eat the best of Milton. All of the houseâs amenities and facilities were good to great and we appreciated having three bathrooms. I would urge future guests to try out light switches in advance to know what switch turns out what fan/light. The king beds were very comfortable; the queen was less so. However, I wouldnât let that stop me from booking again (and comfort is subjective). Communication was excellent, and the owner provided some helpful suggestions for us during our stay.We will definitely book again for upcoming Milton visits!
Cute house and access to lots of surrounding activities
We had a great stay with only a couple quirks that I will mention. Host is really amazing and easy communication. House itself is very cute. Cool layout and nice backyard and screened in porch-We didnt get to enjoy that part too much as we went when it was super hot out. Very close to lots of great beaches and a couple waterparks. Just a fair warning, avoid holiday weeks, traffic was nuts, 3 miles could take 40 mins in the popular areas. Couple things to mention-Couldn't get oven to work, didn't want to bother owner again as I already asked too many questions lolDownstairs bedroom is really awesome, however, mattress is kind of rough if your in your late 30s. Other than that, we would easily stay here again if we head back that way.
Great old house. Owner has provided bikes for use, firepit and ping pong to play. Milton has a lot of things to do with Wagamons pond, Broadkill river, nice park, theater and good restaurants. We would have given a 5 star but place needed a professional cleaning mainly dusting. Some things also did not work main bath fan, step light and switches all over that dont seem to operate anything. Actually a nice layout for such a older home. Will rent again.
The house is beautiful and on a quiet street within waking distance of restaurants, bars, and Dogfish Head Brewery. Highly recommend and we will stay there again next time we're in the area.
John was very easy to communicate with and ensured our stay was great. We had a great Christmas, spending the week here. It was pretty cool seeing the historical home and updates.
Great old house in very convenient location. Easy walk to restaurants and nice village with a couple oi shops. Easy drive to beaches in the Lewes area and to Rehobeth. We have already reserved same time next year. Property owner was responsive to the few problems we had.
Great stay in a historic, charming home. Beautiful home within walking distance to great restaurants. This home has plenty of size and was very comfortable for me and my family- including the pups! Would definitely return.
House has great location and is very comfortable. 20 minutes from Lewes beach. Great for family. Walkable distance to ice cream shop, cafe shop . Easy to reach the owner. Planning to go back.
The house was very clean and in the perfect location for us. Parking and check in was a breeze and on top of that, the host was incredibly quick to answer any questions or help in any way possible. When we come back we will absolutely be renting this location out again. Would highly recommend staying here!
The house was perfect for our family of five. There was plenty of space, comfortable spots to hang out, as well as a kitchen full of all that we needed. The house was close enough to all of the major DE beaches but far enough away from all of the traffic and hub-bub. We also walked to the ice cream shop and Irish pub that was a short distance away. It's a quiet and cute town! We would definitely come back again!
What a wonderful, relaxing week with the family. We loved the historic vibe and location. John was a great host. If you're looking for a respite off the beaten path, this is the place for you.
I live in Annapolis most of the time, but my kids primarily live and go to school in Milton. I needed a house close to them so I figured I would rent it while not in town.
