Reasonable walking distance to the city centre .. quite large and spacious accommodation . Friendly check in. Has all the amenities as promised .. would come back to same location again
This apartment was disappointing. The most major issues: the sitting room pictured was not available- just had a a bare mattress
in it. It also smelled very musty and some of that smell got into the rest of the apartment. The walls around the bathroom entrance were grimy. There was mold in the shower. The stove needs to be lit with a lighter, but it was out of fuel. The support contact told us to go out and get a new one--not a great way to start our first morning. We ran out of toilet paper-- just 2 small rolls for an 8 day stay.
What is positive: large rooms, interesting architecture with the high brick ceilings. The bed was quite comfortable. The shower, while small, had good pressure. Lots of storage for our clothes. They have a stove top espresso maker. The staff brought more towels upon request.
We loved the location, but it's not for everyone. It's on the other side of the river, about a half hour walk to Pitti Palace. However we found great restaurants, pasticcerias, and a grocery store all within walking distance.
I shared this feedback with the property manager and I was really impressed with his response: thanked me, stated they are removing the property while they address these concerns and overall very professional.
If these things are addressed, this would be a true hidden gem for a reasonable price in Florence--I really hope they can make this place shine!
