Lovely property, great location and easy access to everything the area has to offer. Shops within walking distance with a couple of restaurants and a supermarket.
Great host, lovely house and outdoor setting We were treated like part of the family, lots of things to do locally too and great places to eat in Daglan thank you
Wonderful Gite, amazing location, Vicky and Anthony are wonderful hosts with lots of knowledge of where to visit and where to eat. The accommodation was very comfortable with everything you need for a super holiday, the swimming pool was wonderful and the grounds very well maintained. Would absolutely recommend this place for a great holiday in the Dordoigne. We will definitely be returning. Thank-you Vicky and Anthony for making our holiday an unforgettable one.
Le Clos du Paradis is aptly named. We spent a fabulous two weeks in the perfect gite with a most beautiful garden in the gorgeous Dordogne countryside. A peaceful and totally relaxing getaway but with easy access to great places to visit and activities, as well as superb places to eat, vineyards and local markets. Vicky and Anthony are truly wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. Definitely a place to return to!
Beautiful setting, right in the centre of Daglan. Its such a quite location and the hosts were lovely too, making us feel very welcome. We were so pleased to find this accommodation and would happily return.
Daglan is a beautiful village and we enjoyed our week at Vickyâs gĂźte. Daglan is quiet and picturesque with a boulangerie and grocery as well as a couple of restaurants and a creperie. A perfect location for visiting the more touristy places like Domme or La Roque Gageac. Nice bedding and towels, plenty of shampoo etc and some water, wine and coffee pods to start us off. It would have been nice to have some oil, vinegar and sugar and a few tablets to do our laundry as well as a âwelcomeâ handbook with info on local recommendations, pharmacies and how to use the oven and washer.
The property was well appointed with everything we needed and was very comfortable. The pool at the gite was very welcoming in the warm evenings. Our hosts were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. The area was very quiet and peaceful.
The fire has everything you need for a lovely stay, clean, comfortable and pretty. Vicky and Anthony were excellent hosts, always available for local information. The pool was kept at a lovely temperature to use even in cooler days. The village was very pretty with 2 good restaurants within an easy walk. Would highly recommend.
Fabulous stay in the beautiful village of Daglan.
Amenities close by including a supermarket, bakery, two restaurants and Tourist office.
The Gite was charming with everything you need for a perfect staying including the pool.
Cannot thank Vicky and Anthony enough for making us feel so welcome.
Amazing hosts and we will be happy to make a return visit.
Booking from pictures online has some degree of uncertainty. We often overthink it ⊠This jumped off the page and on arrival instantly reassured that was the right decision. Clean, comfortable accommodation, gardens and pool better than we could have hoped, easy parking and Daglan turned out to be a lucky bonus - quiet village, lovely local shops but in the heart of the region for easy access to everything. LâAnnexe for decent, good value food and service a la Basil Fawlty - top blokes! Genial hosts and convivial company, HIGHly recommend.
Welcoming hosts. Pool is excellent. Very clean. Had everything needed for a self catering stay. Village has all the basic amenities plus 3 great places to eat. Definitely highly recommend.
Clos du Paradis was a perfect base to explore the Dordogne region, whilst also being a delightful place to return to for some relaxing time around the pool. Equipped with everything we needed, including a BBQ, and with an extremely comfortable bed, we would happily return. Vicky and Anthony were the perfect hosts. Three good restaurants in the village, plus a boulangerie and mini supermarket.
We had a lovely 10 days in the apartment. Itâs actually bigger than it looks in the photos and is a perfect size for two people. Facilities are excellent. Swimming pool was a lovely temperature. Daglan itself is lovely and the fact that you can walk for a drink or for a meal in such a small village was the icing on the cake. All round excellent.
We had a wonderful stay of four days at Le Clos du Paradis. The gite was spotlessly clean and well-equipped and well-furnished. Very nice linens on a comfortable bed. Vicky and Anthony were lovely hosts, discreetly looking after our needs. We enjoyed Daglan and the surrounding areaânot our first trip here and it wonât be the last! Thank you Vicky and Anthony!
Le Clos Du Paradis was a wonderful place to stay. The gite had everything we needed for a couple. A wonderful patio with views of the pool which great to use on hot days. Vicky and Anthony were wonderful hosts and very helpful with suggestions of places to visit.
The village of Daglan was so pretty with 2 restaurants, a shop and boulangerie. It was lovely to walk through the village and by the river.
It was in an amazing location within 20 - 30 minutes of Sarlat-la-Caneda, Beynac, Domme, Monpazier, Castelnaus-la-Chapelle, La Roque-Gageac, the Dordogne River and many more lovely places to visit.
We had a wonderful trip to Daglan and Le Clos du Paradis. The property is well located in the centre of the village and was easy to find. The gite was immaculate and well laid out. We did have a minor issue the first day there, but this was sorted super quick! We enjoyed relaxing on the terrace, refreshing dips in the pool and the gite was a great base from which to explore. It was nice to explore during the day and then have 3 restaurants within walking distance to enjoy supper and the requisite French wine, without having to drive. Overall a great holiday and hope to visit again soon!
A perfect break for 10 days. Daglan is a wonderful friendly village with all the amenities needed for our stay. A superb Gite and the pool was heaven. Our hosts were great fun.
The Dordogne was new to us.The region and its architecture with medieval history was incomparable. Much of it on our doorstep. Cycling, walking canoeing or just chilling. Its all there.
We never go back to the same place twice. However, this one is a must for us.
Next time we will fly to Bergerac and hire a car instead of driving from the UK.
Living in rural France has long been a dream of mine. After many trips to France and in particular the Dordogne my heart fell for the picturesque village of Daglan. I love to socialise, cook and entertain friends and family and La Dordogne is the perfect place to do this.
We stayed as tourists at our home before we took the leap and purchased it. We loved having everything on our doorstep. We looked at many other locations in France but our heart always returned to Daglan. We holidayed here many times and never tired of what the region has to offer.
The property is unique as it offers a very spacious house and grounds located within the village centre. Thereâs no need to take the car for general provisions or to enjoy the restaurants during the evening. There are two restaurants LâAnnexe and Le Petite Paris both are excellent. Thereâs also a creperie, bakers, bank, post office, tourist office and mini market. On Sunday enjoy the market in the village centre.
