Host was very communicative! Loved the area. Would have expected a slightly higher level of cleanliness. Some rough places on the wood flooring so I would recommend bringing slippers or wearing socks

The is flat older but was clean with the exception of the towels smelled a little mildewy. Overall it was a nice place a short walk from the touristy area of town. If you’re looking for a basic bed and shower this is a great option. The host was great with fantastic communication throughout our stay!

Thank you. The property is period property in conservation area with limited scope of license for change. It's large, bright quued in upmarket area. Guest communication was excellent. I will pass towel issue to cleaners company.

This flat is in an ideal location., minutes from the university with a nice walk through the meadows. We could easily walk to many attractions within 20-30 min. The accommodations are simple and the building is older, but we had everything we needed.

Thank you and thank you again for leaving the flat clean and tidy. The building is being renovated soon as per owners meeting 21 September but Iust say all buildings in Edinburgh are period buildings and built at early 1900s! And that part of Edinburgh attraction.

Great location for spending a few days in the city. Lovely walk through The Meadows( a city park)to old town. Everything was very accessible but also got us out of the busy tourist areas.

This is a spacious and comfortable flat. It is in a lovely area and is peaceful and quiet. The rooms are big and it is easy to live in.I would recommend this flat .

This is an excellent choice for the budget traveler -- beautiful, walkable location and 2 spacious bedrooms for friends traveling together. Rooms better than pictured, but be aware it's a walkup on 4th floor -- fine for myself and friend but maybe not for everyone.

We really enjoyed having a sitting room and a Huge bedroom. The washing machine was Great and drying racks were set up.This had all we needed to enjoy our stay and worked really well for us. Grocery stores are a 5-10 minute walk. It was great place to return to after a cool misty day. Livingstone place was built between 1865 to 1869. It has been retrofitted with electricity and plumbing through the years. The floors look original. Yes, they will snag a sock if you are about without shoes Nails work their way out as people walk on the floors This worked really well

Great area for us. Near a few convenient bus stops. Had some great walks including the hike to Arthur’s Seat. Not mentioned is that there is a slight Edinburgh Castle view from the kitchen and small bedroom. Quiet neighborhood. Would stay here again!

The location was great. It was on the third floor with no lift. We had a lot of luggage. Mazin was very attentive to our needs and questions. The wifi was not working but Mazin offered to buy an eSIM. The beds comforter was too small for two people. Kitchen was fine. We never found the swimming pool or the BBQ. Didn’t take the time to ask the host. Walking distance to downtown, grocery and restaurants was excellent. We would recommend this place to our friends.

Heather and group were polite & pleasant people from Canada. There was No mention for pool in the building but the Olympic pool at walking distance and almost free also no place for barbecue mentioned due to risk of fire. Heather always welcome in Edinburgh and to book flat any summer. Thank you.

Nice stay

Perfectly situated to explore Edinburgh, even on foot. House and flat are quite old, which is part of the charm. Everything was in working order, it was wonderfully quiet at night. The host was really good, any questions were answered immediately. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Spring stay

Staying a second time around definitely was a great decision. My stay at this lovely little flat was ideal for a getaway while doing some site seeing and having quiet time to catch up on work. I highly recommend.

The flat is spacious and clean, has wifi and is in an excellent location. I had to raise a few relatively minor issues with the property manager but communications were good as they were with the booking process and pre-entry

Thank you for the review. I believe the review springs from my message to the guest of leaving flat as a rubbish tip and cleaner refused to clean and requested extra cleaning fee. The table lamp broken and left without informing us about it. i use HER OWN WORDS in her message to Us about the issue: quote Erin '''I also understand that I was default on taking out the rubbish and taking items off the counter. My apologies about the lamp but that was ok whenever I left and not understanding about the laundry, more than happy to pay for the unfilled part of my agreement on my behalf of not dispossing of the rubbish but that doesn't mean someone . Please keep the remaining payments to cover the lamp, but I will be sure not recommend or stay to avoid any contact with you again. Thank you for your response and your time.''end of quote. i did not take the price of the table lamp BUt accepted the extra cleaning fee for the cleaner. no further comment is necessary.
