We had a nice time and enjoyed the apartment. The hosts were very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. It's a short walk to bus routes, restaurants and stores.
This is a cute little flat with all the basics, a short ride or 15â walk from the Royal Mile. When we first arrived it was clear there had been a scheduling mix up with the cleaners and the flat was not ready, but we were able to reach Scott right away and he showed up to personally remedy the situation within 20 minutes. One of the bedrooms is quite small, but the bed is great and overall our one night stay was very comfortable. Would stay again!
We only stayed for a night but wished we had more time to spend. Very nice flat in quiet neighborhood near the University. Very good communication with hosts.
Our group of 3 adults was very comfortable in this unit for the 1 night that we stayed. Communication was much easier with the host when we switched to WhatsApp due to VRBO not providing updates in the host's app.
The location was perfect for getting to all the sites The kitchen offered all the amenities we needed for cooking on the stovetop and oven. This is a perfect place for a family of four.
We enjoyed our stay. The apartment is lovely and just around the corner of an amazing playground.
The apartment is super for 4 ppl. Our kids liked the stay as well.
The kitchen is super equiped and having free tea and a free Nespresso machine was really good.
The property was spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect. Very quiet for sleeping. Close to shops and restaurants. Our host was very friendly and responsive to our questions and needs.
Convenient for family stay close to university and central Edinburgh
A really convenient, comfortable, clean small apartment, good for a family of four. Especially pleasant and comfortable master bedroom. Located within 10 minutes of university and 15 minutes of major Edinburgh sights, but in a quiet area. Street immediately underneath is not the tidiest but the apartment itself is really neat and tidy. Recommended
This was a perfect location. Many nearby restaurants and coffee shops, groceries. Marchmont is an easy walk to Old Town, the Royal Mile, Museums, shopping, and the Waverley train station. This apartment is very clean, has natural light, kitchen with refrigerator, and washing machine.
Perfect apartment with easy access to all the Edinburgh has to offer. Clean and extremely comfortable. Great communication from Katie and Scott, would recommend.
I was only here for one day however the property was really nice & very clean. The bathroom was great and the shower head is like the one I have back home so that was nice to have. The only issue I had was trying to find the building that the flat is located in, thank god a local was outside to help me. All & all I enjoyed my stay
We spent 4 nights. Mostly just slept there. Went sight seeing everyday. Katie was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay. The flat is a bit hard to find. Go in green door and then up to the first floor. Lock box was a bit hard to open. Was fine after we figured it out. I would definitely stay here again.
Ideal location with 10 min walk to the festival areas starting at George Sq Gardens. Comfy beds. Enough equipment in the kitchen and complimentary nespresso etc. Host lovely and responsive when we had a little issue with keys but sorted very quickly. Just what you need. Thanks Katie. Would recommend.
Cute flat, safe area, walking distance to everything!
We had a lovely stay at this flat! It was very well stocked. Modern furnishings and decor gave it a trendy boutique feeling. Street noises were minimal unless it was trash and recycling day. Parking was a bit of a hassle.you can park in designated spots on the street where the flat is located but itâs about $20 a day. Free street parking is a 15 minute walk, with first come first served spots throughout the day.
Enjoyed our stay at this property as it was clean and felt well maintained. A little tricky to find (on a side street) but parking was easy. Dark corridor from entrance needed better lighting, but owner said it was being fixed. There are stairs to the next level, but not a problem for us. Located within walking distance to many restaurants which were more local and not as touristy. Enjoyed walking through the Meadows Park on our way to the center of the city. We were close, but felt away from the crowds. Walked to Arthur's Seat and hiked to top on a sunny Sunday morning. Edinburgh is always a fantastic place to explore!
We loved the location, the quiet neighborhood and the coffee shop not too far away. However, the house itself needs some serious upgrades. The water took forever to get hot, one of the door knobs totally broke on us, the beds were very uncomfortable, ice machine didn't work, and the kitchen sink wouldn't drain. We were also bummed it didn't have a coffee maker, an amenity i didn't even think about checking. Oops. That being said, the hosts were supe nice and tried to be helpful. Overall just a so-so stay.
Katie and Scott are fabulous hosts. I so appreciated their timely communications and helpful information.
The apartment is as pictured and situated a short block from Meadows Park. You can walk thru the park for easy access places in Old Town like Victoria Street. We parked our car in a lot about four blocks away (an easy walk) and left it there the three days we were in Edinburg. It cost 20ÂŁ per day which we felt was very reasonable.
Walking from the apartment to the major sites was very convenient, no car needed once we arrived and dropped off our bags in the apartment.
The apartment is small, but perfect for my sister and I. With two rooms, we each had our own space.
Many thanks to Katie and Scott!
Hard to find. Keys were supposed to be in a lockbox on the back of front door. There are 2 lockboxes. Flat 6 is the bottom lockbox. Cleaners were still in apartment at 6 when we arrived. I had to mop floors after they left and open windows to dry them out. Mold in shower. Toilet not bolted to the floor. No freezer in the tiny fridge. Zero room for suitcase in one of the bedrooms. Kitchen, table, sofa and TV all crammed into a room thatâs about 10âx12â. Sketchy neighborhood. Canât understand the good reviews. I rented based on them. Would not recommend.
