Had a wonderful stay barn oldie worldy just what I like, the Countryside very pretty, canal walks fantastic, pub food great, my only fault was I have mobility problems with the kitchen upstairs made it hard for me,but I managed, love it all but I am easily pleased
The property fitted the bill for our family group and dogs. The photographs are a bit dated and a more clear description of rooms/ floor plan would have been useful. Facilities wise everything required was present. Only issue was the draught through front door - fortunately curtain covered it mostly (it was a cold weekend though).

Very disappointing
The property is VERY close to the motorway. That is not mentioned in the details, but we knew beforehand from the map. It does mean that the outside space is unusable unless you're impervious to traffic noise.
There is not a double futon in the downstairs bedroom, which is what the details state and what makes it a property capable of sleeping 6. So actually it can only sleep 4, unless somebody fancies sleeping on a sofa.
It is also important to know that the only bathroom can only be accessed by going through the upstairs bedroom. It's not a brilliant layout.
The most disappointing aspect of the property was its state of disrepair and how run down it is. The upstairs toilet appeared to be leaking and the mat on the floor was wet. Unfortunately, when we were there, there was also a strong smell of urine in the downstairs lounge/dining room.
In my opinion, this property should not really be offered as a holiday let in its current state.
Booked it as it was close to NEC and we could take our dog. Had everything we needed and great pubs and walks on the doorstep. Very quaint. Would book again.
Lovely quirky cottage, which had everything we needed. Perfect for our short stay, great location, lovely area for dog walks.
Communication from David was excellent.
Relaxed and easy going. Too much unnecessary furniture. But a lovely area for walks. Outside was too noisy to make use of garden. Property could use some TLC, but then it would be less relaxing with the dog. We enjoyed our stay.
We only stayed one night but had a great stay. Peaceful sleep and a good shower. Everything we needed in the kitchen & some fantastic pubs in the area (we had a great meal at the Navigation Inn). David was very responsive. Would stay again!
Great little cottage - very quirky. Perfect for our short stay and plenty of room for the 6 of us (2 adults & 4 children).
Gorgeous village location and the owner was very helpful.
Thank you for a lovely visit.
