Lovely, peaceful setting in the countryside, but not far from Kenilworth. Comfortable cottage, shame the weather didn't allow us to enjoy the attractive decking area.
The Stables were in a lovely, quiet spot but a very short drive away from the town centre and made a great base for our weekend away. Was really nice being able to sit out in the garden and switch off from work and the property had everything we needed.Sarah was a great host, lots of communication and always happy to help!
Had a really nice stay in the property for 4 nights. Itâs right in the center of all the surrounding Kenilworth countryside and enables you to walk all of the local footpaths. The place was very clean and the owner communicates very well to ensure a good stay. My family live locally and I live in FL so I will be back next time I am visiting. Itâs about a 30 minute walk to the old high street in Kenilworth across the fields. Highly Recommend!
The Stables is a beautiful, cosy little bolt-hole to stay in. We used it over the Christmas period. Very convenient location and if there hadnât have been the thickest fog ever the scenery would have been beautiful too!
The cottage is very comfortable and spacious, the kitchen is well equipped. The owner is so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The location is great, it's so peaceful but also really well situated for trips to Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding countryside. We only stayed 3 nights and it wasn't long enough! Would definitely stay again.
The house is in a lovely area, out in the country yet very close to all conveniences, Sarah is very helpful and we enjoyed our stay. As an aside, we did stay in the wintertime, yet the house was lovely and warm.
Cozy, well stocked, comfortable bed and quiet in a beautiful area of Kenilworth. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Sarah is lovely and very knowledgeable and helpful. We look forward to returning. Thank you Sarah for renting your lovely cottage to us.
This is a wonderful retreat, well away from the hurly-burly. Very spacious and comfortable with a unique design that makes you feel you have escaped! Lovely views from the upstairs bedroom.
This is our second stay here and we hope to return.
Sarah, the manager, provided a warm welcome and was very responsive to any queries.
I cannot recommend this house highly enough, the location is set in acres of idyllic Warwickshire countryside with loads of walks within a short distance of the property. The owner, Sarah was lovely and always ready to answer questions about the house and the area. We will be going back!
Fantastic location tucked away in the Countryside. Lovely property to enjoy some family time together in peace and quiet.Ideally located if you plan on visiting Warwick Castle.
Supplied with a lot of what you'll use during your stay although you may need to visit a supermarket (Waitrose @ 2.5 miles away) for somethings that are not supplied. Be warned that the narrow country lane is not suited to low cars as the road is rutted and has three speed bumps.
Would happily return and recommend.
Pleasant stay at this cosy cottage.
The good- Sarah was polite and helpful, well equipped kitchen, good central heating, lovely views, pretty decking and outdoor seating area, quiet peaceful country lane but great access for Warwick, leamington spa and Leicester all of which we went to.
The not so good- the cottage could do with some updating (eg downstairs en suite paintwork around doorframe), parts of the cottage needed a better clean (lots of greasy areas in kitchen, black spots in box freezer that looked like mould, cobwebs), not the best tv (poor picture quality and lack of Smart tv), and the worst thing of all- the gate- very difficult to open and close (gate clunky, barely seems to be on hinges, uneven pebbly gravelly surface it has to be dragged over) every time we wanted to take the car out- I can imagine it would be very difficult for an older person or someone with arthritis, and would be very cumbersome in winter with numb hands!
Thanks, Sarah! We had a wonderful time.
Had a fantastic stay, the cottage is beautiful and surrounded by English countryside. The host was great with communications and instructions. You are just minutes away from both the old and new high street, both having some great bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend this to anyone!!
a gorgeous holiday home - very peaceful yet very convenient location for visiting Coventry and Birmingham and the Cotswolds. Lovely owner lives close by. A home from home.
We live next door to The Stables and have owned the property for 7 years.
We would consider ourselves to be friendly and helpful and will try and be accommodating as possible to ensure that your stay is as enjoyable as possible; we want you to come back next year!
There has been such fantastic feed-back from previous guests who have rangedfrom people on business at the NEC to Chinese engineers working locally, families needing to get away whilst building work is completed or people looking for a holiday in beautiful Warwickshire.
The Stables came with our house and we love being in the heart of the countryside whilst being so close to the amenities offered by Kenilworth, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Stratford-Upon-Avon, the Cotswolds and Solihull. The location is fantastic and the restaurants, shopping and things to do are really exceptional.
The cottage is set in beautiful countryside with fantastic walking opportunities from the doorstep, whilst within easy reach of Kenilworth. It is approximately 25 minutes walk to Kenilworth Castle across the fields or a five minute car journey. The castle is adjacent to the old part of Kenilworth which boasts a tea shop, fine dining restaurants or relaxed pubs. Other tourist destinations nearby include Warwick, (with its own magnificent castle), Stratford Upon Avon and Leamington Spa. The Cotswolds are also within driving distance. There are a number of national trust properties nearby, in Warwickshire and the West Midlands. Coventry is 5 miles away and Birmingham is only 18 miles away (NEC 12 miles away).
