Thanks for your time to post some thoughts about your stay. Glad you had the foresight to have planned ahead and enjoyed the resort amenities while the Villa was being prepared. I’m not sure that they specifically delay the VRBO units that I have seen, but I will rely on feedback such as yours as to such matters. This has probably been the busiest rental season after Covid I have seen in all the years I’ve owned my unit and rented it. So unfortunately, I imagine that with the number of units being rented this year,‘the housekeeping crew maybe extremely busy this summer season and there may be delays—-especially given the additional cleaning precautions being made because of Covid. I appreciate your patience and yes unfortunately beyond my control. But I hope the rest of your stay was enjoyable and went well and hope to see you back soon ! :)

I understand the feeling of arriving at a unit and not feeling like it was properly prepared. As an owner, I depend on the housekeeping and property management staff to make me aware of any issues that need attention and on the quality of the cleaning and inspection done by the staff. I regret that the cleaning wasn't up to par when your arrived. We have had that experience elsewhere when traveling before w family and the last thing you want to deal with after traveling a distance to relax when you arrive, which you couldn't. We spoke extensively the day you arrived and I spoke directly with management staff to get your concerns addressed as quickly as possible and further credited back the first night's rental stay for the inconvenience it caused. I think and hope I did as much as I could do as a remote owner to try and get the villa in proper condition in short order. Furthermore, when made aware there was issue with bedding etc. these have been subsequently addressed. But, until I am made aware of them, I can' t address them. Unfortunately, thing like scuffs, chips and wear and tear are typically addressed in off season when the unit is not occupied. With many guests staying with us, these types of blemishes are going occur through the busy rental period. I haven't had a guest comment negatively about the blinds since the time they have been there many years. My sons stayed there recently after your visit. I also took initiative to ask a recent guest who stayed with us last week of their impression specifically based on your concerns. They did not point out any similar concerns, so I think they have been addressed for now. We plan on doing some longer term update and addressing some of the longer term to freshen up the paint etc.
