Lovely cottage. Definitely exceeded our expectations. Itâs warm, cozy, and clean. The lagoon in the back was beautiful. If youâre looking for a quiet place surrounded by nature that wraps you up in a warm blanket, this is it. We will be coming back.
Wonderful cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Ann and Hollis for such a great experience. Loved the fresh flowers and the birds.
Easy access to beach - kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed for home cooked meals - spotless cottage in lovely West Beach location. Friendly & helpful owner
This property had everything we needed for our stay and was very clean. Location is great- quick walk to the pool or beach and easy to get to Freshfields Village for dinner or shopping. The view from the back porch and living room is peaceful and we saw plenty of wildlife. Thank you for a great vacation!
We have been to Kiawah many times and have stayed in several lovely townhomes and cottages, though never the same one twice - until now! Ann & Hollis' cottage is perfect in every way, from the well-appointed kitchen to the beautiful lagoon view, it was exceptional in every way. We will definitely book this cottage again!
Perfect cottage for four adults. Well stocked and tastefully decorated. A beautiful little corner of Kiawah. On a quiet pond site with very entertaining bird and wildlife including deer, jumping fish and of course, alligators.
I can't say enough about our stay! We have been traveling for many years and this is only the second property that I have found to be perfect. So beautifully decorated and comfortable. Loved seeing all the wild life around the lagoon and the beach. Will be back again!
This cottage was great for 2 couples. It was very comfortable and had everything that you might need. Short walk to a beautiful Kiawah beach. We saw a variety of birds and an alligator floated by a couple of times. We would definitely stay here again.
Such a perfect space for our stay, love how tucked away this property feels but is so close to beach, pool, and gate.
The deadbolt is misaligned which makes unlocking/locking difficult
Beautiful home overlooking one of the ponds on Kiawah with screened porch and deck to see all the wildlife. Tucked away, so it's very peaceful but also a short walk or ride to the beach. Bring your bikes! Great trails all over the island.
My wife, two daughters and I had a wonderful four-night stay in August. The home was very well-appointed and clean. Ann was a great hostess and checked in with us often. We hope to rerun next year!
Ann was an excellent communicator and was accommodating in meeting our needs. The home was an excellent location for the start and finish of the Kiawah Marathon. Kitchen was well-stocked. Home provided for a wonderful week-end at Kiawah.
Our stay at the cottage was just the quiet, peaceful and relaxing vacation that we were looking for. We spent hours on the back deck enjoying the birds and other wildlife in and around the lagoon, which is located just off the screened-in porch and deck. Virtually everything you need for a relaxing vacation is there â including beach chairs, umbrella and beach cart. Communication with the hosts was great and we were able to walk and bike easily to the beach and around the island.
We wanted to thank the owners for sharing such a wonderful cottage with us. It was so relaxing watching the wildlife. We actually got to see 3 different alligators(one very large!) from the back deck. We could not have asked for anything more. I would highly recommend staying here. Cant wait to go back.
Ann and Hollis make this cottage a wonderful vacation spot. We stayed last July 4th and had a wonderful time. The owners take pride in maintaining their property as well as a high-end hotel. They were responsive and there if they were needed.
The property is decorated beautifully, it is close to the beach and in an upscale community. We'd definitely return. Thanks for making our July 4th vacation special!
This was our first getaway in two years, and it was worth the wait. The Garrisâ were gracious hosts and their cottage is comfortable and well appointed. We spent much of our trip lounging on the deck and screened in porch, watching the activity and fishing in the lagoon. Our boys had a blast and we made memories that will last a lifetime.
We are eager to return and hope to be able to very soon.
This house was a wonderful place to stay! Everything we needed was available and we felt very comfortable in our surroundings. The owners were a real pleasure to deal with, we couldn't have asked for more. Lots of wildlife and a great location by the lagoon and the beach a short walk away. We loved Freshfields Village, lots of food choices. The drive to Charleston is pleasant and doesn't take long at all. I would love to stay here again in the future, wonderful place for a nice relaxing and peaceful vacation. Definitely 5 Stars!!!!
We stayed at this wonderful cottage and enjoyed every minute of it! We loved how the owners were such great hosts and outfitted it with anything you'd think you'd ever need. While we were well prepared because we weren't sure what to expect, it exceeded our expectations. Kiawah is a beautiful place and this cottage is so close to the golf course and the white sand beach. Just an absolutely wonderful relaxing vacation. Thanks for having us!
This was our family's first stay on Kiawah, and we were not disappointed. The island was beautiful and the cottage was situated perfectly on the water for morning and afternoon bird watching and the occasional alligator and deer sitings. Likewise, the cottage was well appointed, very clean, and a close walk to the beach. The owners are very responsive and helpful, and we would definitely recommend this cottage to all nature lovers. Thank you, Ann and Hollis, for sharing your home with us. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay.
We stayed in this beautiful house after Easter 2010. The weather was great, the island and beach magnificent. The house was clean and every bit as good as the photo's. We watched the wildlife from the deck and all over the island. The location was so peaceful and made really lovely holiday. It's a really good idea to hire bikes.
We were also caught up in the Volcanic Ash flight disruption and the owners, Hollis and Ann, were very helpful and understanding.
We would certainly highly recommend this property.
A lovely and well-appointed cottage with excellent facilities, good kitchen, well-maintained. Back deck and living room face a small creek and abundant bird life. Beach is a ten minute walk (three minute bike ride) and it is gorgeous.
Cyclists should know that paths are not well-signed and not designed for long rides-- winding and cut by cross roads.

The best !
I spent a month in this cottage. It is so comfortable. Everything is updated. It is tastefully decorated, just lovely. I was impressed with all the kitchen dishes, glasses, pots and pans seemed brand new. It is extremely clean. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay in this cottage. I would highly recommend this unit. Kiawah Island is wonderful.
The owners were available whenever I needed them.

Ann & Hollis have thought of everything for this treasure of a home! The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes, utensils, and cookware needed (we cooked many of our meals due to the pandemic); there were chairs/umbrella/cart for the beach; the beds were comfortable; the furnishings were classy but comfortable. Loved watching the birds at the feeders! Can't think of anything they need to add - and they were wonderful to work with! We were in the home for 4 weeks so talked with them a few times and they were always easy to contact and quick to answer our questions. We will definitely return!
We are Charlestonians who have enjoyed Kiawah for many years. Hollis sells real estate on the island (843 860 1845) and Ann is a retired nurse now a private walking tour guide (843 224 7817 ) in Charleston , SC. We love to share the local secrets with our guest and are close by should you need something. As we live only 30 minutes away in Charleston , we personally manage our cottage with a hands on approach. We strive to have it perfect for our guest as vacations are so important to us all.
Love the quietness of this area and the close proximity to the beach. Being in the West beach makes a trip into Charleston a much shorter adventure. We are an end cottage in a cul de sac and have a wonderful open view of the lagoon. It is perfect in every way for the guest who is here to enjoy nature, the beach , or an afternoon in Charleston or maybe short bike ride to the grocery or many shops at the "quaint" Freshfield Village . The quietness of our area allows our guest to listen to the birds and relax - even if here for just for a short while.
Best lagoon view in the West Beach . Easy walk to the beach, pool, and the new (2019 ) Cougar Point Golf Course Clubhouse with the Players' Club restaurant and lounge . Our Cottage is ...Great for watching nature and relaxing. Quiet, Quiet and Quiet !
