Prince Barn is a light and spacious self-catering holiday cottage in the Cotswolds, part of the stunning Goodlake Barns complex in the Great British countryside near Faringdon. The barn offers luxury accommodation for 6 guests in three separate bedrooms arranged across 2 floors. You will find a range of amenities in the nearby market town of Faringdon which is only 3 miles away and there is a wide range of places to visit including Blenheim Palace, Oxford, the iconic Uffington White Horse, and of course the beautiful Cotswolds is on the doorstep. There is a central hub that is a flexible space and can be hired for dinner or meetings depending on your group's needs. The hub is big enough to seat everyone together if booking more than one barn. Please note that the hub is only available on request.

If you are looking for a large group booking for more than 6 guests, perhaps for a family or friends gathering, then please consider the entire Goodlake Barns complex.

This three bedroom Cotswold holiday cottage in Shellingford is perfectly suited for those looking to get together with family and friends, exploring the local countryside and eateries. The Cotswold accommodation is laid out as follows:

The barn overlooks the large enclosed communal courtyard with outdoor seating available for guests to use. There is also a communal lawn area.
Plenty of private parking available on site.

Those enjoying walking will really enjoy Goodlake Barns and its setting close to the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Beauty and the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding and the chance to climb to the Uffington White Horse.

The maximum occupancy for this property is 6 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 3 additional infants (aged 2 or under)

Lovely converted barn in the countryside

Prince Barn in the Goodlake Barn complex was a wonderful place to stay on the outskirts of the Cotswolds. It was within an hours drive of all of the key towns within the Cotswolds. The barn conversion has been done very tastefully with lovely furnishings within the "barn". A very comfortable place to stay for an extended period.

Beautiful Barn

Prince Barn was absolutely perfect for our stay, with plenty of space for us. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The beds were huge, comfortable and had crisp fresh bedding on them. The showers were hot and powerful with plenty of towels supplied. The directions given were easily followed and pick up of the key was very straightforward.

Beautiful accommodation

The cottage was perfect for our group of four friends. It was beautifully furnished, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious with a good bedroom/bathroom ratio. The kitchen was well equipped with a beautiful living/dining area, so we stayed in most evenings and had a great time cooking together. It was good to have parking by the front door, the small garden however, is shared. The location is very quiet and peaceful and although semi rural, it's only a short drive to the large supermarkets. It was a great base to explore the Cotswolds.The host was also very helpful and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Excellent accommodation

Really comfortable, only one problem could not adjust the temperature on a shower, it was repaired in 2 Hours, really impressed how quickly it was repaired. I would have to wait a week to get a plumber at home. They ensure that nothing will stop you enjoying your stay.

Great converter barn!

We loved it. The building was full of character in a really quiet location. There was plenty of room for 7 of us, including 1 infant. We will definitely book again. There were a couple of odd things missing in the kitchen, spatulas etc and the speaker didn’t seem to work, but we managed. I would also look at some of the other barns on the site as they seemed to have designated outdoor spaces. Overall we loved it and would highly recommend!

A little surprised!

The property is excellent as it has been for our previous stays however the lack of a coffee plunger, dish washing tablets, washing up detergent, and a reasonable number of garbage bags will remain top of mind for our next holiday. Perhaps an increased cost may be a way of not interrupting our stay and ensuring we don’t have to drive some distance to the supermarket to buy items we were not expecting to have to buy. Prince Barn was a wonderful place to stay. We very much enjoyed our 3 nights there, It was a very comfortable place to stay with a very welcoming vibe. The only negative was that we couldn't pick up a cellphone signal on any of our phones, but that asides, it was a great stay. Thanks so much.

Lovely cottage, shame about the cleaning

A delightful cottage in a super location let down badly by cleaning standards; sticky dining room table, dirty toilet, dirty dishes in the cupboard, lots of dead flies on floors and window sills, coffeecup marks on side tables and dirty windows. It is a shame as all these things could be easily have been avoided with more diligent cleaners or a supervisor inspection.

Lovely family holiday

Travelled end of July as a party of 10 (6 in Prince barn - 4 adults and 2 children) & 4 in punch barn - 2 adults & 2 children) everything as described and as shown in pictures. Really lovely barns, well equipped and located within a peaceful picturesque small village - a great base for exploring the cotswolds. The field near the barns provided the perfect place for the children to run around and play too! Plenty of parking spaces and would definitely consider returning as well as recommending to others.

Wedding accommodation

A fabulous place for a large group. With wedding guests we were able to spread out and really enjoy our stay. Shower in the communal eating area hilarious! A couple more large pans would be fab but otherwise the place was great. Extremely comfortable and beautifully clean. Would recommend to other large parties. My only issue was being asked to prove that I had paid. You seemed to have some IT problems your end but didn't at any point apologise for the way in which is was handled, which was shocking considering the price paid for a few days.

Lovely accommodation beautiful location

Fabulous few days stay at Prince cottage for our 3 generation party. The downstairs bedroom and en-suite was perfect for my 83 year old mother. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, well equipped and perfectly located for a visit to Oxford and the Cotswolds. Just what we needed after a difficult few weeks.

Beautiful stay in the Cotswolds!

We had such a beautiful time staying in the gorgeous Prince Barn over Christmas. As an adult family of 6 we were more than comfortable, and the barn was very well equipped — exactly what we were looking for considering we were cooking a full Christmas spread. The location is beautiful and quaint, and quiet but nice to stroll around. They were incredibly hospitable and helpful — especially considering they were able to accommodate our very last minute booking! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
