## Neighborhood
Fashionable Notting Hill is one of London's most iconic neighbourhoods. Best known as host to the world’s second biggest carnival (after Rio’s Mardi Gras) and home to the famous Portobello Road Market, Notting Hill is also a serious destination for culture buffs and those on the hunt for a quintessential London experience.
On weekends throughout the year, crowds stroll the two-mile stretch of Portobello Road Market. Straddling the antiques and fashion markets (which are busiest on Saturdays) are the equally old-fashioned and charming produce markets, the calls of fruit and veg sellers helping give the place a Dickensian air. There’s street food of all kinds, from paella and bratwurst to crepes and churros. This is a unique neighbourhood with an extraordinary amount of character, and whether ticking off sights or simply exploring randomly, it’s difficult not fall for its charms.
## Transit
A 15 minute walk gets you to Latimer Road tube station, and around 20 minutes from Ladbroke Grove. The property is also connected to the whole of London via bus routes. There are numerous cafés, restaurants and shops within walking distance. For Soho House members, the house is within walking distance of both Electric House and White City House. Also, Westfield Shopping Centre, the biggest in Europe, is a 25 mins walk away.
