As great as last year

We liked it so much that we went there for the second year in a row. The house is lovingly furnished and has a fantastic location. Giacomo very very nice and helpful. The kids loved the pool and we went on nice trips around the area. We felt very comfortable again.

Wonderful stay in Tuscany

We had such a pleasant time at this beautiful hideaway in the middle of Tuscany! The place is ideal to explore Tuscany cities like Florence, Vinci, Pisa and Lucca while one can also enjoy the beaches. The kids loved the pool at the end of a long day and the sunset from the upper terrace is just stunning. Thank you Giacomo for the great hospitality!

Relaxing and Quite

We had an incredible week staying in Giacomo’s villa. It’s in a very sleepy village with only a restaurant and small shop close by. We hired a car and travelled to Pisa and Florence, it’s in the perfect location to do this. The villa its self is of a very high standard and better than the pictures. The Mezzanine ladder is steep so we decided to let our young children have the main bedroom. We had a lovely stay, it was perfect for what we needed.

Quiet home in Tuscany

Relais Il Grillo is more beautiful in person that in the pictures. The area is peaceful and provides for amazing sunset views. Giacomo is a great host - reached out days ahead of our trip to coordinate our arrival. Marti is a quaint town and centrally located for visiting many towns in Tuscany. Giacomo and Relais II Grillo made our trip to Italy amazing!

Superb property

We stayed for a week this October. The house is superb, finished to a very high standard, with everything you could ask for. All as great as it looks in the photos. The host was excellent throughout. Easy communication from the moment we booked to check-in, explaining the property and being available if we needed help. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Very nice, small and clean house with a great pool area in the middle of nowhere

Very nice and clean house, max. for 4 persons, with a great pool area. The house is situated right between Firenze, Lucca and San Gimignano. If you want to visit these places you need to use the car for about 45 minutes. The villages nearby are not really nice, the views from the house and the pool are amazing.

Beautiful Stay!

This villa is stunning and the views are spectacular. The sunsets are amazing! Everything inside and out is meticulously cared for and Giacomo is a most welcoming host. His knowledge of the area is super helpful. The nearby town of San Miniato is a quaint village for small shops and wonderful restaurants. Our arrival by car was very easy and the local train station in San Romano is within a few minutes of the villa which made travel to places like Cinque Terre very relaxed and effortless when we tired of driving ourselves. The villa is a quiet, peaceful and wonderful place to rest and relax, all while thoroughly enjoying Tuscany! We hope to return soon!

The best holiday home we ever had

It´s such a lovely holiday home. Everything was proper, clean and decorated with lots of love. We felt very welcomed, and we were surprised how good everything was in shape. Whatever we needed it was found in the laundry room. We loved the pool and the were terrasses were perfect for breakfast and dinner. And the one on top was great for viewing the sundown and enjoying the Tuscany nights. We made excursions every day and enjoyed the surrounding area a lot. The communication with Giacomo was a pleasure and totally nice. Really appreciated. Everything was really great and we´d love to come back one day.

Just a dream…

The property was gorgeous. Area perfect for our exploration needs and the pool, fantastic to jump into when almost 40 degrees daily. The host, although we did not meet, Giacomo, was very courteous in answering any questions we had and rapidly too. The only comment we have is that there is not a standard oven in the property. There was a counter microwave/oven (we believe) but we did not use this as we are inexperienced with this type of equipment. This maybe an English misinterpretation however. If the opportunity presented itself, we would certainly return to Italy and this property in a heartbeat! Grazie mille Giacomo.

Luxuriously relaxing & tranquil

Me and my husband stayed for 2 weeks to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. From booking the owner couldnt have been more helpful, sending us links for restaurants and vineyards. You need a car, but you wont want to go out much haha. Its beautiful! The view is incredible from the balcony, having dinner and drinks whilst the sun sets looking at the view is really priceless. The pool really made the villa so much more. Its really big and we loved sitting on the pool steps having a natter. Inside, the villa provides everything you need. It smells lush, looks incredibly clean but still homely. We went to Pisa and Florence, from Florence we took the speed train to Lake Garda, highly recommended and quite reasonably priced too! There is a local supermarket in the village as well as a bigger one 5 minutes away. We would absolutely say that if you want to stay in Tuscany, stay here!!

Heerlijk verblijf in het hart van Toscane

Super! Mooie villa van alle gemakken voorzien, met prachtig uitzicht, heerlijk zwembad en gelegen in rustige natuurlijke omgeving met mooi aangelegde tuin. De communicatie met de eigenaar Giacomo Mancini was erg prettig. De omschrijving op de site en de bijbehorende foto’s komen 100% overeen. Kortom een aanrader voor een fantastisch verblijf!

Beautiful place

Das Haus liegt am Hang eines ruhigen Hügels mit Blick nach Pisa. Die Ausstattung ist überdurchschnittlich, selbst in der Köche gab es nichts, was fehlte. Stilvolle Einrichtung, gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, sehr schöner Pool, frische Kräuter im Garten. Livorno, Pisa und Florenz sind in 30-45 Minuten erreichbar.

Ein Paradies...zum zweiten Mal

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal hier und fühlten uns vom ersten Tag an wie im Paradies. Es ist völlig tiefenentspannend, am Pool zu liegen, den tollen Garten zu bewundern oder im Tal zu joggen. Wir haben schon viele tolle Wohnungen in Frankreich, Deutschland und Italien gebucht: Dieses Haus ist etwas ganz besonderes. Im Detail ist alles liebevoll und komplett ausgestattet. Es ist alles da. Seit dem letzten Aufenthalt vor zwei Jahren wurde die Medientechnik (TV/Musik) sogar noch stark aufgewertet. Wir waren wieder begeistert. Zum Einkaufen empfehle ich den Conad, zum Joggen zeigt einem Komoot tolle Routen in der Umgebung.

Geweldig verblijf

Wij hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad. Het huis ligt bijzonder mooi aan de rand van het kleine dorpje Marti. Een kleine supermarkt is in het dorpje aanwezig. Het huis is schoon, van alle gemakken voorzien en beschikt over een heerlijk privé zwembad. 1 grote slaapkamer en een vide waar nog een groot 2-persoonsbed staat. Goed functionerende airco. Buiten 2 grote terrassen met tuinmeubilair en een overkapping. Extra douche beneden in de ruimte waar ook de wasmachine staat. Centrale ligging. Wij komen graag een keer terug! Tip: Ga een keer eten in het dorpje. Het restaurant ziet er niet zo gezellig uit maar het eten is goed.

Entspannung pur.

Wir waren acht Tage in diesem Ferienhaus und sind sehr zufrieden. Alles war sauber, man hat eine schöne Aussicht und einen sauberen Pool zum abkühlen. Man kann von da aus sehr gut in die Städte fahren, zum Einkaufen oder zum Pasta essen. Der Vermieter ist immer erreichbar, hilft sofort wenn irgendwas ist, und hat immer gute Tipps für die Gegend. Einzig der Zufahrtsweg müsste erneuert werden, denn da kommt man mit tieferen Autos kaum lang. Aber dafür ziehe ich jetzt keine Punkte ab. Wir empfehlen es weiter!

Schönes Haus

Das Haus ist neu renoviert und hat einen tollen Ausblick. Das zweite Schlafzimmer ist nur über eine Leiter erreichbar, somit für kleine Kinder und ältere Menschen nicht nutzbar. Schöner Pool- alles super!

Ons verblijf deze zomer

Heel correct contact gehad met de verhuurder. Toen we toekwamen was alles heel proper en in orde. Het is zelf nog mooier dan op foto! Een sprookje waar je direct tot rust komt. De inrichting in goed bedacht en je komt niets tekort. Comfortabele bedden, mooi uitgeruste keuken, alles was perfect in orde! Ik raad dit huisje ten zeerste aan voor mensen die graag privé zitten en alle comfort willen op vakantie. De ideale verblijfplaats voor een mooie vakantie en op 1u afstand van vele mooie stadjes om te bezoeken. Een echte aanrader ten top!!!!

Ein Haus für den perfekten Urlaub!

Wer die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit in der Natur sucht, aber trotzdem einen guten Ausgangspunkt zu toskanischen Städten möchte, ist hier genau richtig! Das Haus ist sehr sauber, hat ein schönes Ambiente und ist gut ausgestattet. Da von Außen nicht einsehbar, hat man wirklich seine Ruhe. Auf den aktuellen Bilder sieht man noch nicht, dass im Außenbereich bei der Küche noch ein überdachter Platz mit Esstisch ist. Giacomo selber haben wir nicht kennengelernt, was auch nicht nötig war, wir waren wunschlos glücklich. Trotzdem hat die Kommunikation mit ihm perfekt funktioniert. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub und werden wiederkommen!!

Dreamy villa with private pool

This property exceeded our expectations in every way, despite these already being high, based on the Vrbo listing. The villa is stunning - beautifully furnished, very well-equipped, wonderful views, gorgeous private pool and spotlessly clean. Giacomo was a wonderful host, keeping in touch to offer helpful travel/tourist advice and ensure our stay went brilliantly. The location is perfect for exploring Florence (by train from a local station) and is well located for flying into Pisa. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa and Giacomo as a host - we had a wonderful stay!

Ein wirklich tolles Haus!

Wir waren als Familie mit 2 Kindern (11 und 14 Jahre) Anfang September in diesem wunderbaren Haus, das wir sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet vorfanden. Alles ist mit sehr viel Liebe und Geschmack gestaltet. Pool und Garten sind phantastisch. Es ist sehr ruhig und abgeschieden. Nach Marti läuft man 5 Minuten. Der Blick von der oberen Terrasse zum Sonnenuntergang ist atemberaubend. Das letzte Stück der Zufahrt ist eher ein Feldweg. Wir waren froh, dass wir einen SUV hatten. Ansonsten waren einzig die Stechmücken zur Dämmerung lästig. Im Haus waren Vorkehrungen getroffen, damit wir drinnen keine Probleme hatten. Giacomo ist ein toller Gastgeber, die Kommunikation war bestens. Die Schlafgelegenheit unterm Dach kam bei den Kindern gut an. Für 4 Erwachsene wäre das Haus aber etwas klein, da auch nur ein Bad vorhanden ist. Wir würden bei Gelegenheit wieder kommen und das Haus weiterempfehlen. Für uns 5 Sterne.
