We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was exceptionally clean, well stocked with everything we needed and perfectly located in a beautiful part of Blowing Rock. We loved exploring the charming downtown area and were able to take advantage of all the nearby hiking trails. Thank you for having us - we'd absolutely recommend this place to others.
Our stay was fantastic, everything we needed was there for us and the cabin was so cozy . We had a family of deer visit us 3 times during our stay đ would love to stay again in the future .
My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs and loved it! The location is private but very close to downtown Blowing Rock. We loved the large back and front porches- they are prefect for coffee or wine. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We loved the fresh goat soap! Would love to stay here again!drincomfortable.
This collage is close to anything you may want to do in the Blowing Rock-Boone area. It is super clean and has all the comforts of home. Highly recommend!
Very comfortable, quiet and stocked. Couldnât have been better. I will definitely be back in warmer months, by myself I wouldnât be comfortable with the steep driveway during the winter. Homemade soaps and many quaint touches! Thank you!
I had a wonderful stay and relax couple of days. I needed to be close to chetola resort due to an event Iâm and it was a perfect location close to the twin For sure I will keep this location in me save folder for next time
Thank you again
Beautiful home. Great location close to everything. Our kids (4 and 7) enjoyed the games in the basement. The whole family enjoyed the fire pit. Plenty of space for dogs to run. We loved it!
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage, celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary. The wood walls and ceilings are beautiful and the back porch was very peaceful. It was very clear and had
everything you need to be comfortable. The homemade soap was a nice touch. It was close to Blowing Rock, yet private.
Will visit again!
Very closBlowing Rock, yet very private.
Perfect location, close to area attractions yet still feels tucked away and secluded. Cabin has all you need for an extended stay with plenty of dining options and grocery store near by. If you prefer to stay in cabin has lots of streaming options, high speed Internet, puzzles and games. Cabin was clean and host was responsive. Will likely rebook.
Loved this cabin tucked away off the main road w absolute privacy, tranquility, and nature! Only a short drive into Blowing Rock proper. Very clean and comfortable-
This was our second time staying here. As always the communication with Jennifer is great! The cabin is just out of the way but still close to town and the Parkway. It was a relaxing time.
Very clean cabin that was stocked with everything we needed. My daughter and I enjoyed bird watching while sitting on the covered back porch. We visited Tweetsie Railroad which is a short distance away from the cabin. Check-in was very easy and the communication with the host was very responsive.
The cabin was clean and well-maintained; secluded, but only 7 minutes to downtown Blowing Rock. We loved sitting on the covered back porch and watching the fireflies in the evening.
We stayed here to do some hiking and birdwatching around Blowing Rock. It's just a 6 minute drive to Trout Lake (Moses Cone), 20 minutes to various trails and overlooks on Blue Ridge Parkway, 30 minutes to Grandfather Mountain, and a quick drive to Blowing Rock and Boone. Though the property is on a major road, it was quiet and the back porch was a wonderful place to listen to birds singing.
This was the perfect place for me, my 2 elementary aged children and dog. Its close to downtown and not far from skiing/tubing. I had an issue related to weather (the driveway is very steep/snow) and the owners were so kind and helpful, even offering their own labor. I don't think you could find a better setup for a small family get away. My kids are already asking when we can go back! Oh! And the kids loved the ping pong, fooseball and air hockey set up in the basement.
My husband and I live in Lenoir NC with our 5 sons, 4 daughter-in-laws, 5 grandchildren. I am a nurse, employed with Blue Ridge Health Care for the past 35 years. My husband is self-employed, pours concrete for a living and can do just about anything he sets his mind to.
Rocky Meadows is a special place. My father's great aunt, Minerva Walker Goldsmith, purchased this property around 1929 to spend summers away from the heat of Palm Beach. Aunt Bee was known for her modernist watercolor landscape and seascape paintings. She developed a love for the mountains and sold property to her friends, one being Phillip Moose, who established what is now Artist Alley. As a little girl, I loved spending parts of my summers in Blowing Rock which led to my attending Appalachian State and then eventually meeting my husband.
My husband and I built the cabin ourselves using re-purposed materials. What I love most about the cabin is the privacy that it provides. It is close to the road but offers a feeling of seclusion, it sits on 3 acres. It is completely surrounded by nature with no other homes in sight. While the cabin is secluded, it is just a short drive into town. There are restaurants, shopping and entertainment close by. It is also close to the Parkway, Moses Cone and Price Park.
