Thank you for your comments. This is our family cottage which we stay in. two or three times a year. The shower room off the stairs is an extension put on long before we bought the cottage and as it has three sides to the elements it does tend to get a bit damp. Never smelt urine, I will get the cleaners to double check. I have many a time slept on the mattress mentioned, it is a memory form and maybe if you are not used to that type of mattress it probably seems different. The sofas could well do with a clean but they get washed every year at the start of the season and people don't always take care of the furniture. The dining chairs I do have to hold; up my hands, I did try to clean them in July when I was there but failed. I will be replacing them shortly. I do hope these small things did not spoil your stay. I have to hold up my hands to the balcony not been cleaned, I was meant to do at the beginning of the month but covid hit and then I forgot all about it. The cleaner apologized about the sweet wrappers she missed checking the draws. Neither of us accepts black marks on the pillowcases I don't think 95 euros for laundry and cleaning is overpriced. I have refunded Jane and apologised.
