Situé dans un endroit facilement accessible, il dispose d'un balcon ou d'un porche pour se détendre en écoutant et en observant diverses espèces d'oiseaux. En outre, vous pouvez trouver une grande variété d'animaux attirés par les eaux rafraîchissantes telles que les iguanes, les poissons, les oiseaux aquatiques, les colibris et plus encore. Nice Cabin not too far from La Fortuna

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the cabin and the location. Make sure you bring bug spray when sitting on the balcony/terrace.The little pond makes it really nice and quite some wildlife directly on the property.

Great stay and close to town

Marco lives on the property so is always there when you need help. Check-in was a breeze and we looked forward to coming back and relaxing on the covered porch at the end of each busy day

Hidden Gem! Waterfall close by.

This place is amazing! We really enjoyed our stay. Next time I would prefer to stay at one of the cabins on the water. Cabin #1 was closer to the highway and it was hard to drown out the noise.

Cute cabin by a pond

This was a great place to stay for the price. Think glamping. It was clean, decently stocked kitchen wise, and the little porch with hammock chair was amazing. The vegetation around was lush and the pond with running water. There is some road noise and it's a tin roof so it can be loud with rain but overall a great stay. Nice to be out of the town centre.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The manager and team were very helpful with providing tour options. The view was pretty with ponds and resident ducks. It is a little further from town and thus a car is needed.

We loved the privacy of our own villa. The pond is full of fish and a pair of ducks live there full time.all of our needs were met and the property is as advertised.

Everything about this booking was prompt & easy. Communication was was excellent! The pictures do not do the property justice. Just a short 5” drive in to LaFortuna. The price was excellent…we loved every minute here & plan to come again!

Wonderful Ambiance

We loved the location, it was nicely set, outside of the busy part of town. The site was very relaxing and had good ambiance with a pond, trickling stream, and ducks. The only downside (to staying probably anywhere in the rainforest) was waking up to howler monkeys in the distance around sun-up. But, after a day or two I grew to appreciate it.

A beautiful spot near La Fortuna

The owner, Marco, provided shuttle service for us from San Jose. It was a perfect introduction to his country for our first visit. We saw San Ramon on the way and were able to stop for groceries and also local breads and cheeses. He took us for a typical lunch at a restaurant adjacent to the forest. Once at the property we had everything we needed in our comfortable cabin. Marco was also able to take care of any tours we were interested in the area, at a better price than what we saw online. I would definitely recommend this property!

Rain forest Cabin

We loved our stay in this cabanita. We are a family of 5. The cabin was cosy for our family. The Cabin has windows all around the main room, it is really beautiful to wake up and be surrounded by green tropical plants. There was enough room for us. We were picked up by our tour guides, at the cabin and did lots of exploring. We enjoyed our stay, very much, it was close to La Fortuna town, and just far enough away that it felt very relaxing. The pond, running water and greenery everywhere, made it feel like we were in the middle of the rain forest. The teenagers, enjoyed the Dog, ducks and night watching of frogs. I would recommend this cabin for people would like being in nature.

Not exactly what we expected

After staying in the property the photos make sense, but we thought we’d be in one of the units directly on the water and we weren’t. This wouldn’t have been a problem but we were right next to the road (which is quite busy) so we got woken up by motorcycles late at night and very early in the morning. Like 4am early. Cabins traditionally don’t have much insulation so we heard everything loud and clear. The inside was cool. I liked the flooring and the heat pump worked great. It was quaint but we slept like garbage. Unfortunately we would not rent here again in hopes of finding more peace and quiet.

Wrong hotel name but same place- the name changed to Cabanitas del Lagos!

Marcos was very quick to reply on WhatsApp and the VRBO website. Unfortunately he never mentioned to us that the actual name of the place had changed to CABANITAS DEL LAGOS! So we were unable to find the place until we stopped and some locals helped us. Unfortunately our unit was right on a busy road which we looked at from our kitchen- for future visitors maybe request a cabin in back on the pond? Our children enjoyed the ducks. Our sliding door didn’t lock when we arrived but Marcos was very quick to fix this so that my husband could manage the lock. The kitchen was fairly equipped but the coffee maker pot had been replaced with a tinpot and it burnt my husbands hand every time he poured coffee. The hot water unfortunately didn’t work when we arrived but Marcos was quick to fix. The location is driving distance to town and convenient. Overall not what we expected for the price but still a very nice stay and a nice family.

Perfect Spot for a Perfect Trip

Our stay was perfect for us! We chose this place because of its location to the downtown area and other locations. We wanted something close to downtown but also private enough to relax and enjoy the tropical climate. We also chose this place for the amenities (kitchen, living space etc.). By car, the downtown area is about a five minute drive straight down the road. This will take you to many restaurants, shops and more! Parking is not an issue at this location. In the late afternoon/ evening is it the perfect spot to sit outside and listen to the birds, the waterfall stream and watch the ducks of course! Our only precaution is that it is located next to a fairly busy road making for some light traffic noises throughout the day. The host is always available through WhatsApp and lives on the property. He is eager to offer suggestions for places to eat or see. He is great! Overall, we would recommend this place to our family and friends, even those with littles. We were sad to leave, but eager for our next adventure. Pura Vida!

We arrived two hours after checkin after calling to let them know we would be late. It was pouring rain. The person at the main building didn’t speak English, so we waited outside for 20 minutes upon arrival while they tried to get a cabin ready for us. In the cabin, one bed was infested with hundreds of bed bugs, there were 2 mousetraps in one of the cabinets, a roach scurried under the sink cabinet when I opened the cabinet door. It was raining so hard we couldn’t hear each other speak. We ended our stay within an hour finding a different hotel since there wasn’t an English speaking person who could help us. Then when we spoke to the property manager on the phone he went to check the room, the owner sent a message with full view photos of each room saying there were no bed bugs. The photos taken at the distance they were would not have shown bed bugs. We haven’t received a refund and it’s up to the owner whether they want to approve a refund. My daughter now has a half dozen bites on her thighs. This was a terrible experience from beginning to end.

Endroit idéal pour explorer La Fortuna

Super belle maison près de toutes les activités intéressantes à La Fortuna. Le propriétaire était toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions et ses suggestions ont toujours été judicieuses. Le seul inconvénient est le bruit étant donné que la maison est située près de la route.

The property is stunning. It is a happy place. Out of all the cabins we could of had this one was the best!!!! The water feature was amazing and waking up looking at the ducks and pond was so peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.

perfect cabin in arenal/la fortuna area

We loved staying at this lovely cabin in La Fortuna. Tucked away in a bank of trees and surrounding a beautiful pond with 2 friendly ducks, this was perfect for our quick trip to Costa Rica. Staff was friendly and helpful, cabin was sparkling clean, and the AC in the bedroom kept us cool at night. Highly recommend!

Beautiful wood house

The wood house in the trees and by the small lake very beautiful. The location is very convenient to anywhere we want to go. Manager helped us to book tours very quick and match our requirements even the tomorrow tour.

Peaceful

The room was clean and spacious. It had a mini fridge, two burners to warm tea or soup, and a microwave. It has A/C and WIFI as listed. The only suggestion I have is that the bed needs a mattress pad the beds are hard, maybe provide and a little bit thicker blanket it got cold at night. Other than that I can’t wait to come back with friends.
