Volveremos.
Eigenaar is heel behulpzaam.
We can give only best notes for the House! Good and friendly Checkin and Checkout. Lovely historical equipment. Good place to make sightseeing trips. Friendly neighbours and a very good Pizzeria zwo minutes per feed from the house.
Fantastically Restored House in a traditional Italian Village
Just back from a week in Seneghe and we all had a great time. The house is amazing and was larger than we were expecting. It has been really well restored and is quirky and very unusual - in a good way. We parked right outside and the town has a couple of handy little markets just along the road as well as a bank, Pizza restaurant (very good) and a bakers and couple of delis. - Seneghe is an interesting place to explore with lots of narrow backstreets and ancient houses and we loved wandering around - all the locals are very friendly. There are loads of great beaches nearby on the Sinis Pennisula and it was great to come back to a cool house after a day on the beach as it has been hot this summer in Sardinia.
We chose Seneghe as a central location for daily outings around Sardinia - close to Oristano, but away from tourist hot spots.
Lorenzo was a most accomodating host (our request in advance, a fruit bowl on arrival), and Anna very helpful with daily needs and questions.
Otherwise, I gladly agree to what other guests have already written about the house. It had everything we needed, and the dishwasher and washing machine were useful time savers.
The house in itself is very old with thick stone walls - keeps downstairs cool in the heat. I am sure that it has an interesting history (maybe Lorenzo can elaborate on that).
Highly recommended for those not needing a TV or 24/7 technologies.
Spacious, comfortable, very tastefully decorated , ancient house full of character in an interesting village in a lovely area.
A special place to stay ... afteralll there's not many places which have an full - sized loom in the halll !
The house makes a great base for exploring the region of Orosei and its beaches by car. It's a beautifully restored and well-maintained period townhouse on a lovely old street in Seneghe. The town has local grocery shops and a great pizzeria all within a few minutes' walk of the house. The house is well equipped and certainly spacious enough for our family of four. Traditional Sardinian touches in the decor connect you to this beautiful land and its people.
sehr freundliche Betreuung
An exciting find in a traditional Sardinian village
This house was such an exciting find. My husband and I were looking for a holiday rental in this area and we came across this house in Seneghe. The photo of the exterior doesn't do justice to the beautiful and sympathetic refurbishment inside. We loved the original features that had been retained and incorporated into the refurbishment as well as the array of local craft items that Lorenzo has used in furnishing the house. In addition to its charm the house has every modern convenience and all the equipment needed for a holiday.
The village of Seneghe is quite traditional and has all the facilities needed such as a couple of supermarkets, two high quality butchers, a bakery, greengrocers, pbank and several bars. The locals are very friendly and you soon feel a part of village life. The only downside is that there is only one place to eat out which is a pizzeria called Sa Pranza, however the food there is very good, (I recommend trying the antipasti) and they do pizza to take away. There are other places to eat within a short drive. Using Seneghe as a base there are plenty of places to visit without having to drive too far. If you want to see how real Sardinians live this is the place to come.
Thanks to Lorenzo for letting us rent this lovely house and to Anna, our local contact for her help with queries.
We enjoyed our stay so much, that I'm tempted not to "share" this house in case it's booked when we next want to visit! It is comfortable & has all the modern amenities that one could hope for, yet retains its historical charm. My family (inclu. 2 children under 8 yrs of age) felt completely at home. The owners and manager were also easily accessible via sms for any questions--and have perfect English (if your Italian happens to be as poor as mine).
The town of Seneghe is also a gem. The residents were all exceedingly friendly & patient, and the setting could not be more picturesque. There is a huge variety of things to see & do within an hour drive, from hiking in the Seneghe forest, to visiting the cathedral in Oristano, exploring the narrow streets of Bosa, learning about ancient civilizations, or swimming and snorkeling at the countless nearby beaches. We loved our time there and look forward to returning!
Allerdings ausnahmslos ohne Schatten.
We had a great vacation at Lorenzo's house.
Everything was well prepared and clean. The property is well-maintained.
Due to the time of the year, we used the heating system with the open fireplace every evening. Fire starters and Wood was provided.
We loved to explore the town with local butchers, grocery stores and shops. Most of al we enjoyed the Pizza Places. So delicious.
We brought our mountain bikes, which we rode several times up hill at the natural reserve. Also hiking was fun. Paths are not signed very well, but Lorenzo has a guide at the house, where we could get some suggestions for hikes.
We were lucky with the weather and had some very nice days at the close beaches. We tried different ones by driving around by car and following beach signs.
The best ice-cream shop is in Oristano.
This is a lovely house in a very quaint little village. The downstairs was cool and dark - which is ideal for hot Summer months I guess - and the upstairs very light and bright. The restoration is very sympathetic and the attention to detail is impressive. The upstairs bathroom is beautiful - one of the nicest bathrooms I have seen! The April evenings were cool so we lit a fire every night, firewood having been thoughtfully provided. It was spotlessly clean throughout with lovely linen sheets provided. The church bells peal every hour and from the terrace all we could see were red tiled roofs and hundreds of birds. Everyone we met in Seneghe was very friendly and helpful, especially as we don't speak Italian or Sardo. The owner very kindly organised wi-fi for our stay which was much appreciated. I would have scored it 5 stars but for the fact there were no loungers for the terrace, and we do like to sit in the sun!
We stayed in Lorenzo's house in September for a late summer holiday. We had a great time and we hope to stay there again very soon. The house is located in a rural town called Seneghe, secluded and with lots of history, but close enough to the sea and other areas of interest like Oristano and Alghero and its airport. The location of Seneghe is an ideal base-camp for any destination in Sardignia, 2 hours max from any point in the island, although you can get to most cities much faster. Cagliari is around 1 hour away.
The house itself is really big and charming. 2 big double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a massive and well equipped kitchen (we loved the stone vault over this area of the house), there is a gigantic formal dinning room in case you want to invite friends or you are staying with all your family or friends, and a smaller dinning and sitting area with a fireplace, ideal for a cozy winter evening-in. The house also has a nice terrace and a secluded patio, perfect for a nice summer barbecue. And all that in the most delightful peace and quiet!
We definitely recommend this house, excellent value for this great house. And Lorenzo and Anna are great hosts. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.
HandtĂŒcher liegen in ausreichender Menge bereit.
