Well-equipped accommodation within walking distance of a variety of restaurants and many places of interest. We appreciated having comfortable beds and, although the quiet beach is only over the road, the roof terrace is a great amenity.
Superb location! Just a lovely 12 minute walk along the seafront and you are in the old town. The property is exactly as per the photos and narrative plus it was great to meet the property agent, Martin.
We stayed here as 3 generations of family and had a lovely time. The location was perfect - near to some shops, bars and restaurants but not right in the busy areas. It was so close to the beach (a couple of minutes walk) you could pop down there just for a quick dip in the sea and it was never overly busy. The kitchen was well equipped for self-catering (finally somewhere that had decent knives!). The best part was the amazing roof terrace...comfortable and plentiful seating, sunshades that you could pull across, gas barbecue and even an outdoor sink and shower. We'd love to go back again!
Les points faibles : Communication et emplacement
holiday home Estepona
The house is nice and has a nice location near the beach. Estepona is a friendly and not too crowded beach village. It was a bit unfortunate that some construction works were going on in front of the roof terrace of the house (the terrace is its biggest asset). This spoiled the view and there was quite some noise and dust early in the morning and in the afternoon, which made it a bit difficult to have a peaceful breakfast on the terrace in the morning of rest in the afternoon after lunch. To my opinion, construction works is of course nothing you chose to have near your rental home, so the owner can't help this, but I do think we should have been notified. When I mentionned this at the time of handing in the key, the person at the desk said he knew nothing about it, while I can now see mentionning of it in earlier reviews, which is a pity. This reaction triggered me to mention it here, I had expected a more honest and commercial reaction;
The roof top terrace made the holiday - if it wasn't for that there would have been no where to sit outside other than going to the beach/park etc - it was too hot to really do that for most of the day. The apartment was fine - nice good sized main shower room. The roof top terrace needed some TLC although had plenty of seats, would have benefited from beds. The barbecue was not in a great state. It was fine for what we required but overpriced for what it is. Amazing views right over the sea - didn't even mind the construction going on in front of us although might have been good to be warned.
This is a modernized fishermanâs cottage set in a picturesque street of similar properties. It is clean and airy with ample seating and dining space in the living room. The owner has provided manuals for all the main appliances, and lots of info about Estepona and the surrounding area.
It has three bedrooms, each of which has air-conditioning and (to our surprise and delight) a double wardrobe. The beds are very comfortable, including the bunk beds which are described as âchildrensâ but easily accommodated one adult member of our party.
The kitchen was clean, modern, and well-stocked with everything we needed.
The showers were very efficient and provided a constant supply of hot water.
The crowning glory of this apartment is the superb, spacious roof terrace with high-quality furniture, extensive awnings for shade, if required, and a sea view all the way to the Rock of Gibraltar!
The cottage is located within 10 minutes stroll to the lively marina/port area in one direction, and the delights of the Old Town in the other. In between, there are many cafes, bars, restaurants and supermercados.
