Flat was perfect for our group to explore London for a couple of days. Layout was good and the patio provided us a quiet spot to relax after exploring. Host provided excellent amenities. Would stay again.
During our recent visit to London, we spent four nights at the property in Marylebone. While the apartment was as described, we were not greeted by a host to help sort out any of the initial logistics which led to some unexpected delays and confusion, simple things like, ensuring, proper access to the apartment, use of electronics (ie. washing machine, lighting, heat, microwave, TVs) and a general overview of the apartment, and the area were left unattended to. This is particularly annoying, because as Americans, we are unfamiliar with European products. Communication with the owner via Vrbo itâs not only in efficient, but puts the burden on the renter when the experience for the renter should be seamless. While an initial annoyance, we did not like this dampen our London experience.
The apartment for spacious and comfortable for a multi generational family. Appliances were modern and decor eclectic. We were unaware that the apartment was basement level with a spiraling staircase going down to the front door. This entryway could pose challenges for those with difficulty walking up and down stairs.
Overall, our lodging experience was fair. Upgrades to TVs and soft goods are recommended along with a live meet and greet to ensure proper use of the apartment facilities, correct
We were excited for our stay in London due to it being the last family vacation before my son leaves for school.
However, finding the exact apartment location was a bit challenging. Once we found the apartment we realized it was nice but not what was advertised. The host did leave us a bottle of wine and some chocolates which was a nice touch but this didn't make up for the fact that it was a basement apartment. Due to a center patio the apartment did have a lot of natural light. The apartment was advertised with 3 king beds. However, the apartment had 1 king bed and 2 full/double beds. We reached out to the owner to discuss and she told that the only options she had when setting up the VRBO was twin or king and she didn't even know what a full bed was and pictures didn't lie, meaning we should have been able to determine the bed size by the pictures. In the pictures a fancy coffee machine, microwave, clothes dryer, and towel warmer were advertised. The fancy coffee maker didn't work. We were told it wasn't for guests, there was another coffee machine for our use. The microwave and clothes dryer didn't work, this was resolved during our stay. We were told the towel warmer is turned off in the summer. Overall, if it was advertised correctly and the owner had a different attitude I would not have had any complaints. It was frustrating that the bed size was misrepresented especially since we booked it because of the bed sizes. We needed more than 1 king bed.
