We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Grilling on premises is an issue as the grill provided is unusable and seating are for grilling is not set up.

Pool was closed, rooms were extremely dated.Advertised as a kitchen is not existent.They put a stove in a refrigerator in a closet.You have to plug your coffee pot in in the bathroom

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed long term, which I let them know would be happening ahead of time and they said it was fine. The toilet was leaking, there were dead roaches, which i have photos of. The air filter was never changed once, in the 4 months of our stay. We had people just walk into our room without knocking more than once. Which bring me to the last part. We are paying customers, and had the cops threatened on us because they didn't make the reservation. Corey is incredibly rude and hostile, even towards a young woman. The staff do not want to do more than the bare minimum so I hope you don't expect luxury.

Thanks for the review, Arianna…although folks would get more from it if you were forthright about the entire episode. Your long-term reservation was substantially different than the others we typically host in that we didn't know from week to week whether you were be able to round up the funds to stay or not. Our standard long-term reservations lock in for a specific period of time so there is never really a question of whether they are leaving or staying. When we show up to do things like change filters, our typical guests answer the door and if they aren’t home, the safety latch isn’t engaged, allowing us to complete our tasks. When there is a goof-up on departure days, guests typically answer the door for the housekeeper and inform them of the mistake and/or immediately phone our office. In your case, you did neither, which garnered my call/message indicating that if I didn’t hear from you OR if you didn’t vacate the unit we would have to enlist local law enforcement to help remove you. This wasn’t a threat. This was provided as a courtesy to you because all the available evidence at the time indicated that you shouldn’t be in the unit at that time (a confusion brought about by waiting to see if you would have the additional funds to stay the next few nights or not). I’ve found informing guests of these next steps helps generate a fast response – as it did with you. Even setting all that aside, I guess the two questions are – why did your previous review say the exact opposite and if things were so bad, why did you continue to extend your stay with us?

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Totally dirty sheets. Full of hair. The spare sheet was not the correct size for the bed. I had to use the dirty sheet on the reverse side so it wouldn't get into the other guests' hair. The bathtub was completely dirty and the bathroom curtain was also full of hair. The bedroom floor was littered with dirt, hair all over it and creasing when you step on it. I was full of expectations but I was disappointed with the cleanliness condition when I arrived. I think it's totally unfair to pay good money in the cleaning fee when nothing was clean there.

Hello you for the feedback. I am very troubled to learn of the conditions you describe with the unit and even more troubled that we are learning about them 2+ weeks after your departure. We take great pride in our housekeeping process and regret that your experience wasn't a positive one. I note from your review that you were "disappointed with the cleanliness when you arrived." I also note that we reached out to you on your arrival day asking specifically for feedback about the unit upon your arrival (as we do with most of our reservations). It does not look like we received the courtesy of a reply. This isn't it is uncommon to not receive a reply to our arrival day correspondence and then get a review like the one you've provided. That aside, I will discuss these circumstances with the housekeeping team responsible for the cleaning process prior to your arrival. Once again, I am very sorry for the conditions you described and appreciate your feedback.

This poverty has it highs and lows . The pool is great. The room smells musky and old The grounds barbecue pits r not in a good location, could use updates to gas grills. The docking is old and thought we would have slot for boat. Overall i felt luke 1700 $ + is overpriced for 5 nites for this property .

Really needs an outside exterminator as ants are EVERYWHERE. Outside patio seats were very out dated, old and rusty. The fallen rust gets all over you. Being the room is right next to walkway that leads to pool you constantly hear the gate slamming shut as people go through it all day and night long. Tv volume remote doesn’t work. Other than that bed was comfy.

Good for the price

The unit was mostly clean. A few cobwebs in the corners and dusty lamp over the table type things, but bathroom, living space and linens were all clean. A pan I took out with was a little greasy and needed cleaning before use. Also, it’s the end unit next to the gate to the pool, which gets slammed constantly. Nothing the owners can do about that, just a heads up. Pool itself is nice, clean and well maintained, as is the property. The lounge chairs need a little cleaning up, though. My biggest complaint is that the internet did not work during our entire stay. The wireless network was on, but didn’t have internet. We noticed on Saturday (checked in Friday afternoon) and called, but left a message because the office was closed. I never received a call back about it before we checked out Wednesday morning. Tried the provided instructions of unplugging and restarting, but that didn’t work. There isn’t much to the neighborhood, as it’s on the mainland part of Ft Walton, but we knew that going in. There’s a decent breakfast place (Chicken n the egg) within walking distance, and a Publix and Target close by. The beach is about a 5 minute drive across the bridge if there’s no traffic. Overall, decent value considering the cost.

For a family of 3, for 2 nights, it worked for us. Pool was right outside patio and short driving distance to food, attractions and beach! Rick's Crab Trap was fantastic! It was so much better than The Shack. When we arrived at the room, it had a "musty, closed up" smell. I sprayed room with Lysol, turned AC on and that took care of the smell. Limited outlets but we just unplugged what we didn't need. Our main problem was lack of hanging space for wet swimsuits and towels. There is a small cabinet in the bathroom, but didn't want to hang wet items in it. We improvised! Elevator is right outside door so it could get noisy at times. Could not hear neighbors or neighbors with pets!! Bed was awesome! AC worked perfect! We only used the fridge, but kitchen is well stocked with cooking items, plates, etc.. It's about the size of hotel room, so enough room for 3 of us. It's older but we'll stay here again. *Not as congested with traffic as it is farther down the strip*
