The Space:
With its elevated position offering uninterrupted sea and bush views, stunning sunsets across the Bay to Motuihe Island and beyond. An abundance of sun, birdsong and the ever-changing light will make your stay a memorable experience. The romance of passing yachts, the ferries gliding to and from the island; along with an iconic, weathered red woodshed on the foreshore, with its pile mooring and tethered yachts draws your eye and is a reminder of yesteryear. On a clear night view the dazzling display of stars in the Milky Way and the far distant City lights.


Perfect for a family. Kowhai offers a private covered porch and BBQ area. The well- equipped kitchenette caters to all your needs for an evening in or for an extended stay. The master bedroom features a comfortable queen bed and the second bedroom has a bunk with a double bed and a single atop. Please note: The bathroom and porch access is through the second bedroom. A flat-screen television, complimentary Wi-Fi and Netflix to enjoy. Onsite parking directly in front of the apartment makes it very accessible.

There are four units in total available at this property that can sleep up to 11 people – a great option for groups travelling together.

Bed Configuration: Bedroom 1 - queen bed, Bedroom 2 - Bunk bed (queen on bottom, single on top).

Please note: This apartment can accommodate 5 guests with a maximum of 4 adults. A compulsory linen fee of $25 per person, per stay and a compulsory $160 exit cleaning charge applies to each booking. Beach towels can also be hired for $7.50 per person, per stay. Minimum stays: 3 nights between mid December and early January, 2 nights at all other times.

The Neighborhood:
A nature and walkers paradise, the property is situated on the popular Te Ara Hura track and trails start in either direction form the property entrance.

Getting Around:
Waiheke Island is 20km long. Our properties are mainly located in the first 10km. Taxis are available but can be expensive. There is a good bus service and we offer car hire with the property. To enquire about car hire contact Stay Waiheke.

Other Things to Note:
Please note: Access to the bathroom from the main bedroom has to go through the second bedroom.

The bunk bed is a queen on the bottom with a single on the top.
