We have stayed here many years now. The location is amazing and communication with the owners is quick and helpful. Something our family looks forward to every year!
We've stayed here four times now and plan to return. From the sparkling lake to kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, and listening to the loons and owls at night, and watching shooting stars... this place is a slice of heaven.
This was our third time staying in this wonderful location. We had a fantastic time paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, hiking, swimming, reading, watching the loon family, and sitting by the fire at night star-gazing.
I have gone to Canada Lake/Green Lake my whole life. We needed to rent a place for our whole family and this home was perfect. A beautiful home and everything was exactly what we expected.
As a result, we had a GREAT week at the lake. Would love to stay there again.
Thank you!!!
This was our second time staying here. We love the property and the atmosphere. Swimming in crystal clear water, hiking up mountains, star gazing by the fire at night, listening to the loons and owls calling - nothing is better!
Simply gorgeous location and the house is well maintained and furnished. Decorated with so much care and has happy vibes. We had a wonderful time and so much fun! Would highly recommend this place and would love to go back again sometime!
We had a lovely fall weekend getaway. The property was beautiful and quiet. It was a relaxing, stress-free family experience. The house was the perfect size for what we needed. Zero complaints, would love to come back again, maybe in the summer time next.
We thoroughly enjoyed a long Autumn weekend here, soaking in some sun from the dock and doing some local hikes while observing the leaves changing. So very nice.
We had the opportunity to enjoy the Boyd Camp with our three adult sons, two daughters-in-law , and our granddaughter for a long Columbus Day weekend. Great outdoor ambiance and plenty of indoor space during the rain. Would love to return.
This was our second visit to this home. It is spacious and clean with lots of lake toys for outdoor fun. Inside, the family enjoyed cooking and sharing meals, exploring the many books, and playing board games. A great place for spending quality time with the family.
This was our second year staying at this property on Green Lake. There is something for everyone here. Lovely setting, peaceful and quiet. Would recommend to friends and
relatives. Thank you Martha!!
We had such a wonderful time at Marthaâs place. She is so friendly and easy to communicate with. The house is very clean and well stocked. Plenty of space to spread out on the rainy days. Our families had an incredible time and hope to return.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful house with us!!
Our family had a wonderful time at this lake house! We were able to swim right off the dock, which has stairs which made an easy entry into the water. We also canoed, hiked and enjoyed water views from the deck. This was important since one person in our group has accessibility issues. It was a great house for our multi-generational family vacation. There were lots of boats for us to use as well as a well stocked kitchen. There are lots of great hiking trails nearby as well. The owner was available and easy to contact. I would highly recommend this rental.
My family of four had the pleasure of staying here last week. It is a beautiful, serene spot. We hiked different trails every day. Fished right off the dock. Kayaked and canoed while observing the local loon family...star gazed and made s'mores by the fire...woke up to the beautiful view outside the bedroom window. The house has everything you need. The little store just down the road has anything you may have forgotten. I wish we were still there!
With room for visitors and entertaining, this gorgeous spot on a small lake is ideal for BBQ-ing with a group as well as spending quiet days on the ample deck reading, watching the loons, and soaking up the sun which is full all afternoon. 2 stationary docks and a floating dock as well as the 2 canoes and small kayak provide great ways to explore the very green Summer surroundings. It would be a beautiful place to soak up the beauty of Autumn as well. Kane mountain fire tower trailhead is in walking distance. Would definitely return!!
It did rain all week for us. The kayak and boats are fun. The carpet really needs to be removed/replaced, as do all of the beds, though. It would have been nice if the indoor woodstove was working, since we were inside most of the time. The place was a bit dusty and a wee bit dank. Very cute house. Just needs a bit of updating and maybe a few more chairs outside.
5 adults plus dogs stayed here. Really lovely cottage, seems best spot on the lake. My husband took canoe out...better for two people to handle the breeze. GREAT dining room, GREAT large deck. TV is newer than the pictures...we watched Netflix on it. Kitchen was well appointed-and we really did test out the supply of pots and pans! There IS a microwave. The 5th bedroom is the living room pull out, but we did not use it. Water access is very easy with two spots that have a couple stairs into the water...so you don't have to be an athlete! Great place. Owner very helpful over the phone.
My family and I rented the property for a week and a half and absolutely loved it, it was a sad day when we had to pack up and leave.
The location is great, access to hiking and two connected lakes. Thereâs a lovely little store just down the road that caters to all the necessities, and a Hannaford grocery store is maybe 20 minutes away for everything else.
The property is right on Green Lake, which is clean and very nice for swimming etc. We paddleboarded every morning, as well as used the canoes and row boat that were provided for some evening fishing. The kids loved swimming to the swim dock & jumping off.
The home is next to other properties but we felt we had a lot of privacy.
The home itself is nice, it was unfortunately not as clean as weâd hope to have upon arrival (dirty dishes left in dishwasher, unmade beds, sconces fallen off the wall, and the carpet in the living space was wet) but overall we were quite comfortable once settled in.
The kitchen had all the necessities for cooking dinner, and a great grill out back. The large table was perfect for family meals and kids crafting etc.
Evenings sitting around the fire pit weâre lovely and relaxing.
Overall we had a magically family vacation and hope to rent this home again next summer.
My siblings and I grew up with summers on Green Lake, and we have a deep love for this special place and its people. I now live in New Hampshire -- also beautiful country, but I miss being able to spend as much time at our home on Green Lake home as we would like. We are thrilled to be able to share this spot and vicariously enjoy the summer on the lake with our guests.
My parents discovered Green Lake in the early 70's and both rented and owned other houses on the lake. They purchased this home in 1990, because it's truly the best spot on what we think to be the best lake in the foothills of the Adirondacks! The house sits right on the lake, with the road a safe distance behind it; there is a nice stretch of waterfront, with a gradually sloping, sandy bottom; we have wonderful neighbors on both sides; there are hiking and biking trails right out the back door; and from our protected, small lake, we can access larger Canada, West and Lily Lakes. It's a truly special spot!
So many! The house is really set in nature, with a master bedroom that looks out over the lake and a fabulous deck that fills with afternoon sun. There are always loons, and in this calm lake you often see them just yards from the shore. Two firsts this year: the biggest fish we've caught in green lake -- my son caught an 18' bass, and we saw a merganser duck with 7 babies on her back! Two days later the ducklings were following her solo. There's always something new!
