Had a wonderful weekend at the house with the family. Everything was super clean. Loved the layout, the pool table, hot tub, and best of all - the back porch with it's awesome mountain views. Apples towels and cooking supplies. Plenty of privacy. Short drive to local swimming holes, hiking trails and restaurants in town. Note: the driveway and road leading up to it are on the steep side (not a surprise for a mountainside cabin) so a good strong engine is a must. Owner was very responsive when we had a question or two. Would definitely book again on future visit to area.
Great property at the top of the mountain. Landscape was beautiful. House has everything and more. Kitchen was great to cook in. It had everything that you needed and then some. Very spacious. Loved our stay.
This is a beautiful home and a great location. We so enjoyed the hot tub with a gorgeous view of the mountains. At night we were in awe of the moon. So clear from the deck and the hot tub. The kitchen was so spacious and easy to prepare our meals. If you are looking for a great place to relax and get away this is the house for you. Donât hesitate book today!!
This property is centrally located to a variety of things to do. The cabin itself is cozy and inviting. The grade is very steep to and from, so snow or ice could present a problem. The two fireplaces have gas logs which is extremely nice and convenient. The newly renovated kitchen is a plus. The furniture is comfortable and the towels are plush. The owner was responsive and great to work with.
Extremely pleased with our choice of a Memorial Day cabin in the N. GA mountains! Very clean and spacious, the owner was attentive and took an interest in our stay being perfect...I would definitely recommend this cabin!
Such a nice property! The newly renovated kitchen was gorgeous and fully stocked for everything you might need of cooking in! Would book again for sure!
Amazing cabin just as listed!! Property is great and Ray is excellent!! We had a blast at Hiawassee Brewery and Hightower vineyards, just about 5-10 mins from cabin. Highly recommend!!
this was a beautiful cabin with plenty of room, great view,
this was a great find for us, we had a very relaxing time, great communication with property manager, minutes from Helen, only issue we had is the intense incline of driveway, would suggest all wheel or four wheel drive in the winter months.
We loved staying at Bear Ridge, January 2015. It's the perfect place to get away from it all. We hope to come back during spring or fall to tour some of the nearby wineries and do a hike on a nearby trail.
We stayed for a family trip for 3 nights. Clean, beautiful home in a stunning location. Very quiet and peaceful. Amazing amneties giving a feeling of home. No issues whatsoever. We would definitely return again.
We enjoyed staying here! The home is as advertised and has great mountain views. The owner, Ray, answered our call immediately and was super helpful when we couldnât find the house initially. Pay attention to the emailed directions before you arrive since there is no cell service in the immediate area until you arrive and connect to the home Wi-Fi.
We loved the cabin. It is difficult to get to, and the wifi is non-existent. Only one of us could hop on at a time, and that was spotty at best. Lots of room and the views are amazing. We all loved it.
This was our 3rd visit to this area. All our rental cabins were nice but this cabin was exceptional. Three floors with a bedroom on each floor. Perfect for our 4 adults. The
Porch on the front faced beautiful Mountain Viewâs and a porch swing!
There is a steep climb to the cabin but the view is worth it. Many great memories were made at the cabin and State Parks.
This was my parents first time ever in the a mountain area or staying in a home like this. They're 73 and loved every minute. My dad with two replaced knees hiked a 1 mile round trip hike one day and almost 2 days another. He's still not used to the steep roads to the house lol but he made it through it. Great place to stay, great views, even met the neighbor who was extremely nice! Also, the owner was very quick to respond to the couple questions i had!
We had a great time exploring North Georgia with this cabin as our base camp. I have made camping and offroading trips to North Georgia for years, but decided to stay in a cabin this trip. We hiked to several nearby waterfalls, did some offroading, visited Brasstown Bald(highest point in Georgia) and toured a winery and distillery. There are also many hidden gem restaurants in nearby towns. The property offers excellent views and was very comfortable. The best of it is watching the sun set beyond the distant mountain tops from the hot tub.
We had a nice stay Fatherâs Day weekend. Weather was great! We rented a boat at the nearby lake and that was my familyâs favorite activity. The house had everything we needed , my kids enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. I enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch and the sunsets over the mountains in the evening. Google maps does not pull up the address and there is no cell service at the property, so we did need to use the instructions provided by the owner which brought us there just fine. I would not advise driving at night and the roads are very steep. Overall wonderful trip , we will be back :)
We are a professional couple living south of Tampa in Apollo Beach, FL. Ray is a financial planner with 40 years experience and Sally is a real estate quasi retired broker and consultant to the building industry.
We have friends who had a cabin in Barefoot Hills, and Sally is originally from Georgia and was familiar with this area.and we love the mountains. Since buying the property we now have several close friends that now live there full-time
We enjoy the seclusion and relaxed feeling you will experience while rocking in a chair on deck listening to the wind blowing through the trees. Or watching the sun set over the mountain peaks
