Experience the pinnacle of Mudgee living from this striking bungalow nestled in the heart of town. You'll be directly opposite Mudgee Pool, within walking distance of the local bakeries, cafes and boutique shops and just a short drive to the region's famed cellar doors. Exuding luxury and a stunning blend of contemporary charm, snuggle by the gas fireplace heater or head out to enjoy the shaded alfresco dining area. Five king bedrooms and three full bathrooms ensure space and comfort for groups.
Upon arrival, 'Haylock' captivates with its enchanting, rose-adorned facade and interiors that beautifully blend old-world elegance with contemporary comfort and convenience. Take a moment on the front porch, soaking up leafy vistas of Lawson Park across the street before heading inside.

Unwind in the open-plan living area beautifully appointed with two leather lounges, boucle chairs and a cosy gas fireplace. Central air-conditioning and heating throughout ensure year-round comfort. You’ll find all you need in the elegant, navy-and-white kitchen to prepare a feast of fresh, local produce, including a SMEG oven, stove and appliances. If you can't be bothered cooking, pop in for a classic pub meal at the iconic Lawson Hotel just down the road. A barbecue on the sprawling patio caters to laidback afternoon cook-ups, while you'll have the choice of dining indoors or alfresco, with two 10-person settings providing plenty of space to share meals. There's also a fire pit to relish evenings under the stars and sparkling festoon lights.

Five tranquil bedrooms sleep 10 guests, with each room offering a king bed and the flexibility of two king singles upon request. All five rooms are kept temperate with central air cooling and ceiling fans. The primary bedroom boasts an ensuite, while two full-size bathrooms cater to groups. All three bathrooms are fitted with showers and complimentary toiletries.

Additional conveniences include WiFi, a dedicated workspace, a washing machine and dryer, and off-street parking for five cars.

During your stay, you and your group will have the entire bungalow to yourselves. Please make yourselves at home!

You’ll be situated at the heart of Mudgee, where you can explore the charming, tree-lined streets and discover shops, cafes, galleries and historic buildings all within an easy stroll. Opposite your stay are Lawson Park and Cudgegong River, while Roth’s Wine Bar is a few-minute walk for a delicious local drop. Renowned vineyards and restaurants within a 10-minute drive include Petersons Winery, Blue Wren Farm, and Slowfox Wines.

Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.

The property comes with a standard bedding configuration as advertised. Changes to the setup can be arranged for an additional fee of $30 per bed, which covers extra linen and housekeeping time.

EV charging is strictly prohibited at this property due to circuit disruptions caused by such usage. If it is found that EV charging has taken place, a fee of $100 per day may be charged to cover associated costs and potential damages. Please contact us for EV charging locations in Mudgee.

Firewood packs can be pre-ordered at an additional cost, available only from April to September. Please inform us at the time of booking if you would like to have firewood provided.

Haylock luxe is a beautiful property immaculately presented and offering all we required for our weekend there. We were a group of 10 and the property accommodate us well with separate wings and the three bathrooms were large enough for sharing. We did dine at the property both nights and found the kitchen to have all the items we needed and was very spacious. We spent most of the time under the gorgeous back area. It is very close to the cafes yet we found it to be quiet. We would definitely book again.

Change of plans

Due to unforeseen circumstances we were not able to stay at Haylock. At the time of booking we were advised the cost was not refundable which was fine. Unfortunately due to a family member passing I tried to modify the booking for another time and was advised this is not allowed as it is considered a cancellation. After much back and forth the property finally agreed on a 50% refund. Not sure I would ever look to book with this group again based on the lack of empathy shown. We were not changing our minds where to stay the circumstances were out of our control. Also, we were not asking for a refund just a change of date. Thankfully we did receive a 50% refund which meant others were not impacted by us not being able to make it.

This is a stunning property. Plenty of character as well as comfort. The bedrooms are spacious and all are able to have King or single beds. The living area is large, modern and comfortable and opens out into a lovely outside entertaining area. All furniture is comfortable and attractive. The kitchen is efficient with plenty of space for 2-4 people working together, with a large oven and gas cooktop. We were catering for 8 people but certainly it would be easy to cater for the 10 people that can stay in this home. The AC was efficient and could be zoned for the living areas and or bedrooms. All appliances were is good condition and easy to use. The beautiful park is across the road with public swimming pool and water slide for families staying in summer. There was no need to drive to entertainment as a 2 minute walk takes you to pubs, brewery and restaurants. It was a treat to stay in this home, even if it is expensive compared to staying in a motel, the facilities mean that you can save costs on eating out. We very much enjoyed our stay in Mudgee, with something for all of the guests, photography of old buildings, wineries, breweries, shopping and cafes.
