The location had a nice view, but the host has a lot of improvement to do. At soon as we got there we wanted to grill and cookout but the grill wasn’t turning on. I contacted the host about the propane tank being empty but his respond was “not sure what to tell you” there was no shampoo, soap or body wash for shower. No creamer for coffee, and Unfortunately, the bed was very squeaky and made noise with every movement. The pillows were uncomfortable and lacked proper neck support, which left me with neck pain in the morning. The road is a little rough to get into the property so be prepared.

We're glad you enjoyed the nice view and appreciate your feedback. A full propane tank was installed right before your arrival, and we always turn it off between stays for safety. Our listing notes that toiletries and coffee creamers aren't provided because most people travel with their personal items. Comfort is subjective, but we are sorry the bed and pillows didn't meet your personal preferences. The unpaved access road is also detailed in our listing, so guests know what to expect for this secluded setting.

Great stay in Jay Oklahoma!

Came out for the 4th of July, great view of fireworks, amazing neighbors, wonderful stay overall.

Updates needed

The queen bed was unstable and leans. It was very uncomfortable and possibly needs a better bed frame to hold it steady Porch chairs were very uncomfortable and maybe adding some cushions and lighting. We loved the view at night but with no lightning we didn’t get to stay out there much No water access to water. To difficult to find a place to swim or enjoy the water. Key code to get it was sent to me on Sunday. We arrived Friday and had to call owner to get access.

NO TOYS ALLOWED (boats,atv, anything else that would need hauled)

One way in, one way out, on a single lane gravel (big rocks) down hill dead end road. That being said towing a trailer will make it difficult to get in and out, we learned the hard way. I pulled our razor while my husband pulled our pontoon. Thank goodness I was in front and my husband was able to back the trailer in by the front door. He tried backing out his truck and pontoon but since it was gravel he couldn’t thankfully the neighbor across the street had circle drive and he was able to get turned around. Unfortunately even after getting turned around he still wasn’t able to get it pulled up cuz of the gravel and the steepness of the road. We had to hook tow strap from my truck to his and finally got it out. Neighbors said there is no boat ramp, main reason I booked here! The pictures of the outside are deceiving it looks like there is plenty of parking but trust me there is not, another reason we booked since we were bringing 2 trucks 2 trailers. Master bedroom bed frame is not like the picture, after sitting on it the bed started slanting, sit on one side the other side goes up so we had to sleep in other bedroom. Dishwasher was packed with dishes and no hand towels in kitchen. The drying towel to sit dishes on in the drawer was dirty as well as the mit for hot dishes. But I must say the owner at pine island was soo nice she let us park our truck and boat in the storage for free for 3 nights, if she hadn’t I don’t know what we would of done!! Very grateful for her!!

Hi Jennifer, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:-The property description clearly states that there is only room for 2 vehicles to park.-The remote location and gravel road add to the secluded charm of the property, but we understand this might pose challenges for larger vehicles and trailers-We've taken care of the kitchen towel issue and added more towels. Additionally, we've replaced the bed frame to avoid further issues for our future guests. Thank you for sharing your review.
