Quintessential summer home decorated in reds, whites and blues, an eclectic mix of antiques, pretty linens, painted floors and a spacious wraparound veranda for dining and lounging rain or shine add to the charm of this well loved heritage cottage that brings guests back year after year.

Come and explore this beautiful part of Ontario and enjoy the clear blue water of Lake Huron and its ocean like beachfront. Scenic landscapes of crops, cows and stunning farmland, hiking trails, golf, honey and lavender farms, wineries, marina, live music - it's all here!

All within an easy walk from the cottage: amazing swimming, sandcastle building, boogie boarding, kayak and paddle board rentals, fish off the pier, coffee shop, restaurants, boutiques, village brewery, bookstore, ice cream shop, children's playground and more. Golf, grocery store and LCBO about a five minute drive.

Located in the heart of Old Bayfield, this is a peaceful and private one-of-a-kind century home in one of the most charming villages in Ontario. Situated on a tree-lined street and a 5 minute walk to sandy beaches, this summer home offers an abundance of natural light, ocean-like views of Lake Huron and is a great rental for families with young children and teens too!

Filled with antiques and hand-painted furniture discovered in local markets in and around Huron Country, these found pieces have been repurposed and paired with quality furnishings, crystal chandeliers and modern amenities creating beauty, warmth and function in this ultra charming four season rental property.

Luxury mattresses, quality linens, lovely glassware and serving dishes, farmhouse-style vanities, 4 bathrooms, soaker bathtub and more.

The wraparound covered veranda featuring ocean-like views of Lake Huron and the Bayfield River is a favourite space for guests to lounge and dine, rain or shine.

Air conditioning, gas fireplace and furnace, reliable WIFI, BBQ, fire pit, modern appliances, fridge has ice-maker, updated electrical and plumbing, smoke/carbon monoxide detectors and operates with a Short Term Rental licence issued by the Municipality of Bluewater.

Pioneer Park, a Bayfield gem, is just steps from the cottage. Locals and visitors alike gather here for picnics and play, weddings and live music and events during the summer. Some say the most beautiful sunsets in the world can be seen over Lake Huron, not to be missed!

Great stay Canada Day to Fourth of July

Kim was a great host. The house is cute, with lots of character. Location and view are amazing, you can't do better. View of the lake, 5 minutes to the beach AND five minutes to town. Porch is great. Kitchen was updated and everything seemed to work. Bathrooms worked well, beds were good. Didn't try the fire pit or grill but they looked nice. Only house challenge was that air-conditioning wasn't super effective for upstairs, but I think that's universal in old houses and even a challenge in my house that's 40 years old! (Also note I'm an AC snob and sleep hot). There were fans in each room and the AC kept humidity low so I'm really nit picking here.Area notes:Beach is great! Go in that water! It did become popular around 2-4 PM but it was Canada Day week.Black Dog Pub was great service and food. Rosie's ice cream was great. Check the local berry farms for what's in season.
