Welcome to Tucker's Hideaway! A centrally located spacious cottage nestled in the heart of Bayfield. Just steps from public beach access and a short walk into the charming downtown where you can enjoy shops, dining and amenities. Stay in and cozy up in the main cottage, fire up the grill and run around the large backyard, or break out your choice of games in the bonus bunk house! There's no shortage of activities at Tucker's Hideaway for groups of all ages.

Tucker's Hideaway is located on a large plot of land with ample space for outdoor games, fires and activities. Inside, you're greeted with open concept living, dining and kitchen complete with a cozy Old Timer wood burning fireplace. Down the hall you'll find four spacious bedrooms, 2 full baths, laundry room and mudroom. The cottage is complete with south facing porch with an awning, the perfect spot for a cozy morning coffee. There is on-property parking for three vehicles.

Relaxing in Bayfield

Excellent property if you have kids. For adults, slightly thicker mattresses would ensure a good nights sleep. Wonderful town to visit and close to excellent restaurants. Would certainly recommend this as a place to stay.

Great spot!

We really loved our time at this cottage! It is in a perfect location; good proximity to town and to the beach - our littles managed both walks w minimal complaining. The cottage is decorated very nicely and the layout was great. There were nice little touches throughout.

beautiful Bayfield!!

What a fantastic week my family had! The property looked exactly like the listing, and was a super location. A short walk down the road to the stairs to the beach or a short walk to "The Square", for shopping, dining and of course, ice cream! The weather was also perfect, but very much enjoyed the week and hope to be back again!

Bayfield getaway

The cottage is spacious, a nice comfortable living area, and well stocked. It is a convenient walk to the square and very quiet location. The King bed was comfortable, the other beds less so. The pillows could have been better. The outside of the cottage, lattice etc needs some work, but there is lots of room to play in, nice porch and bbq.

Girls weekend

We had a great time, the cottage was super comfy and located perfectly to the downtown area and also a nice walk to the beach. The cottage was very clean and provided everything that we needed to make our stay easy. we did have a bit of an issue with the bathroom blind , looks like it has been broken and we tried to open it and it was very wonky. Other than that it was a great experience.

Following is our initial text to owner. "We're a family of 10; grandparents, 2 daughters/spouses & 4 grandaughters ages 4 to 11. We have an annual tradition of spending a week together at a cottage on Lake Huron enjoying fam- ily activities. We hope you will take us as bedroom 2 is perfect for the 4 cousins." In response owner confirmed our booking and we paid. Note our specific reference to bdrm #2. Ameni- ties listed #2 as having 2 double beds. Later learned it only had 1 double & 1single bed. Owner confirmed mistake in listing. Offered to add a single bed/ cot. On contacting owner 3 weeks prior to stay was told it was too late to add a bed. Owner accepted booking knowing beds to sleep 4 were needed. On arrival found bdrm. 2 now had one bunkbed which was double on the bottom and single on top. The single bed had been removed! We had no bed for 4th child! Also the other 3 bdrms were listed as one having a king & other 2 as having queens. Another 'mistaken' item as 1 of these bdrms actually had a double, rather than a queen. Extremely disappointing. We had youngest child sleep with Mom. Dad slept on family room couch. Also poor air condition-ing.This is a spacious cottage (owner's words) with open concept kitchen, family rm & table for 8; 2 bathrooms/4 bedrooms. AC only small window size unit built into wall in kitchen corner. Bd/bathrooms hot/uncomfortable.Fans supplied for only 3 bdrm. 4th fan came 2 days later along with cutlery as kitchen short on spoons.Won't return.

Thanks for your note. Just to clarify and as mentioned privately, I offered to put another single bed in the room 6 months prior to your arrival. There was no response to my offer until 1 week before your check in date. With back to back renters there was no time to put the additional bed in the room. Best of luck, Stephanie
