Summary:
Easy mornings, soft sheets, the smell of hot tea and a deep breath of salty air in your lungs... "Ray's Place" is in a calming location by the riverside with a bridge direct to the beach, will help you to forget life's little stresses. With plenty of amazing local walkways for the avid runner, walker or leisurely stroller to enjoy, whilst soaking up the scenic banks of the Patawalonga River, the picturesque white sandy beaches or the atmosphere of the Glenelg nightlife.

The Space:
Calming with a vibrant edge, "Ray's Place" (affectionately named after our grandfather who built the building) is the perfect canvas in which to sit back and paint your escape... even if that escape means staying in bed for half the day.

And it's easy to sleep in with our quality cosy queen bed with topper, quality linen sheets and black block out blinds. The second bedroom equally has two cosy single beds with cotton sheets. When lying in bed with the blinds open, all windows view out over the quiet neighbouring tree filled garden below, the perfect spot to sit and play some guitar or sip on a hot cuppa!

When you do decide to climb out of bed, be it early or late, take an extra long rain shower with hot water that nevers runs out. Then take yourself for a leisurely stroll along the water to find the perfect cafe or outdoor activity... Swimming, sailing, scuba diving or Dolphin watching highly recommended!

Our newly renovated full kitchen is a chef's dream, equipped with modern appliances and ample counter space. Whether you're in the mood for gourmet cooking or a simple snack, our kitchen provides the ideal space for both. And when it's time to dine, we've got a versatile dining area. Need space for two or four? We've got you covered with our easy to fold-out table and chairs. When not in use, the chairs conveniently fold up flat and hang on the wall, and the table transforms back into a stylish side table. It's the perfect solution for flexible dining or work space, and a creative addition to the apartment's functionality.

By the river’s edge, you can watch the magnificent sun sets mirrored on the river like glass, and catch the occassional dolphin gliding by. As the blanket of night hits, you’ll notice the lights of the Marina Pier appear like stars.

The main street is just a short distance away, and getting around is easy with public transport right at the doorstep. Walk or uber with ease to the Glenelg nightlife.

The apartment features:

The Neighborhood:
Glenelg is filled with all kinds of delicious eateries, sweeteries, shopperies and bar-hopperies, and they are all just a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk from the apartment. Established in 1836, Glenelg is the oldest European settlement on Mainland South Australia, and did you notice something interesting about the name GLENELG? That’s right, it’s a Palindrome, which means it’s the same back-to-front as it is front-to-back. With a rich tapestry of over 300 local businesses along the extensive Jetty Road, you'll find everything you desire. After a rewarding shopping spree, indulge in a superb coffee, a glass of wine, or a delectable meal at one of our diverse cafĂ©s and restaurants. From quirky and relaxed to formal dining, Glenelg offers an array of culinary experiences to suit every taste.

Getting Around:
Bus's, trams all easily accessible from the apartment. Don’t forget to experience a ride in one of Glenelg’s iconic trams, which take you from Jetty Road right through to the City to Adelaide’s Entertainment Centre.

Other Things to Note:
Our building is an old girl built in the 70s (by our grandfather coincidentally). Whilst she isn't that pretty to look at from the outside these days, she definitely makes up for it in location and interior. You will forget all about it once you get inside. Please note the apartment is located on the first floor at the back of the building block and is accessible by stairs only (approximately 10 steps). The views are only out over the neighbouring gardens, and are not of the river which sits across the road.

Please ensure you list the correct amount of persons in your booking requests because this also ensures you get enough linen included for each guest.

We provide a basic starter amenities pack which includes a small amount of tea, coffee, milk, shampoo, conditioner, soap & toilet paper. Depending on your length of stay and usage, you may need to purchase additional items during your stay.

For extended stays over 21+ nights, mid-stay servicing is required for the upkeep of the property. We will notify you if this is due to occur during your stay.

Neat and tidy.

The unit is neat and clean with almost everything we needed. The easy check in and check out process is great with the digital door locking system. Some minor feedback to enhance the stay include: the batteries in the remote were flat so we replaced them. The ironing board would be much better with a cover. And the description of the parking options needs to be clearer, the park is very tight. We opted to park in the street, which was fine.

Was very happy with our stay. The room was fresh and clean. Short walk to where we wanted to go and was well priced. Definitely will use again in the future.

Ideal Location

a clean, neat ,tidy property perfect location 5 minute walk from beach 10 minute walk to town center and tram to central adelaide.10 minute taxi drive from airport. Being close to airport has the noise factor as do all properties in this area. The host kindly provided earplugs which were not required by us. Host was easily contacted with a minor issue solved in good time. If your not after a upmarket base for Adelaide this is a great option
