UPSTAIRS at Baker is completely private with its own entrance. There is a pizza oven and bbq in the adjoining apartments garden . Available to guests on request.
Other things to note
If guests are staying for more than a week, housekeeping is available at an extra cost. If you are booking for a couple (2 people) we assume you are booking for one bed. If you are requiring the use of the sofa bed there is an extra cost for linen and to be made up.



WHAT PEOPLE SAY
'Upstairs' has a unique aesthetic as if Gaudi designed the TARDIS using lights, soft furnishings and carpets from a range of cultures across the last century. A proper 'faded grandeur' vibe making our first walk into the space a unique and unforgettable experience. Just 'WOW'!
What we were not expecting was it to be as homely and cosy as it became during our 9 night stay, even on chilly, rainy autumn evenings spent watching the awesome TV under throws, or listening to music via the excellent speakers after cooking a meal in the stunning kitchen. The main bedroom has blackout curtains; this and the main bathroom can be closed off for privacy. . Ideal base, situated in a pretty part of Melbs: a short walk to sea-front or to Ackland Rd (food shopping or to catch the no. 96 tram to the CBD), with overnight street parking to front. Recommended.

Wow! This place is amazing. The whole apartment is a work of art. Nearly everything in there is custom fabricated by master craftsmen/artists. The location is also great. St Kilda was a fun area to explore and easy to walk to the beach.

From the moment you enter through the funky front door you are transformed into a eclectic show stopping space that you can’t even explain through words. The attention to detail is crazy, you literally find something new to look at every time you look around. I could live in this house forever!! From the commercial kitchen to the loft hot tub to the fish tanks nestled amongst the cement pillars, you have to see this space to believe it. It’s sooooo good 🫶🏼 Alyce was an absolute pleasure from the moment of our booking and accommodated our every need, even left us a bottle of wine and little chocolate skulls were a beautiful touch ♥️ My husband and I had the BEST time at Upstairs on Baker , we and can’t wait to get back there , two nights just wasn’t enough 😊

Loved our Christmas stay. Great location. 5 mins to the beach and less than 10 to restaurants and shops. Unique and fascinating decor. Comfortable, quality appliances, warm welcome. Worked really well for us and our grown up daughter. Would 100% recommend.
