Welcome home to Waypoint Cottage! This oceanfront gem is situated on the Northumberland Strait within minutes of the village of Pugwash, Nova Scotia. Waypoint is a 3000 sqft cedar log cottage with a versatile layout, ideal for groups and family fun.
The space
Waypoint is a 3000 sqft cedar log cottage with a versatile layout, ideal for groups and family fun. The cottage sleeps 10 people comfortably, with two queen beds, two twin beds, two twin day beds with pull out trundles (i.e. sleeping 4 in total) and 1 1/2 bathrooms. This spectacular property is nestled in 4 beautiful acres surrounded by trees and oceanfront, providing the ultimate tranquil getaway.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house and surrounding property. The cottage boasts a number of on-site amenities, including "The Barn" golf practice facility, as well as a fully equipped games room and exercise equipment, just to name a few! There is also an Oceanside fire pit, perfect for family gatherings or simply watching the gorgeous views of the sunset on the point with a glass of wine. Take the steps down to Waypoint's private beach, where you can enjoy a swim in the warmest waters North of the Carolinas (20+ degrees in the summer) or walk for kilometers along the sandbars when the tide is low. Waypoint is also pet friendly, so feel free to bring along your furry friends on your adventures.

Please note that 15% HST is applied to all rentals and the pricing listed includes this tax
During the Peak Season, weeklong (Sat-Sat) stays are required
During the remainder of the year, a 2 night minimum stay is required
RULES & REGULATIONS:
• It is the guest’s responsibility to adhere to provincial COVID-19 social distancing and gathering restrictions during their stay
• No smoking is allowed inside the cottage. You are welcome to smoke outdoors but please dispose of butts properly.
• Guests are expected to leave the property tidy upon departure (i.e. in the same condition as when they arrived) and will be responsible for any damage the property or its contents (additional fees could apply).
• There are no extra fees for additional guests. However, we ask that you indicate the number of adults and children expected during your stay.
• Pets are welcome. Please indicate type and number at the time of booking.
• All garbage/recycling/food waste will be disposed of properly following municipal guidelines (detailed instructions will be available at the cottage).
• You are not required to wash linens; however, we ask that you strip the beds that have been used and place towels, etc in the shower prior to departure.
• There are 30-35 beachfront stairs (i.e. direct access to beach located behind cottage) in place which are removed seasonally. Typically, the stairs are taken up in early-late October and reinstalled in mid-May. Exact dates will vary depending on the weather conditions that year; therefore, the homeowners cannot guarantee the stairs will be in place during these times.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
• The homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guests.
• The homeowners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The beachfront is for your enjoyment and to be used at your own risk.
• By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others who they invite to use the premises.
