We had a very nice stay. People in the neighborhood are so friendly and helpful. The floor was a bit lopsided in some places and cannot drink the water but otherwise perfect for what I was looking for! Peaceful and quiet dead end road. Cute store at the corner with Knick knacks and candles. Dock with canoes and grill. Beds comfortable. What more do you need?!
So relaxing due to its perfect location. If you want to have fun there are kayaks and a canoe to paddle around the lake which we did! Campfire by the lake at night perfect for roasting marshmallows. Quiet and serene! Looking forward to a return visit!
The pictures donât do this house any justice. Much bigger in person and a decent amount of space. Amazing view of the lake. Canât wait to come back!
Beautiful lake, very quiet and serene. Cabin is very open and roomy for a group. Lots of seating. ACs worked great. Kitchen is stocked with basic spices and cooking oil as well as numerous dishes / pots / utensils / small appliances. Enjoyable stay.
We had a beautiful week of weather with just a couple of showers but nothing to interfere with our relaxing stay. Kayaking and swimming were great!! And our dog Mr. Wilson loves it there!!!!! Page Lake is a beautiful place, the cabin is a perfect place to chill out!!! And we cannot wait to return next year!!!! Thank you for a great week away!!!!! Michael, Kathy and Mr. Wilson
We had a great week on the lake. So nice to have the private dock with kayaks, canoe & paddleboat. The lake was beautiful and we spent many hours kayaking around. It was a relaxing, peaceful vacation. Just what my family needed to recharge before starting the new school year!
Overall my family and I had a great time. The boats, kayaks, and dock were nice. However I think the photos need to be updated to reflect the current condition of the yard and the house could have been cleaner. As already mentioned the yard is wet and muddy, so old shoes should be used. In the end, the location and lake were perfect and we would come back despite some of the downsides.
This is an off-the-grid, low key property with all the basic amenities. We enjoyed the lake and the expansive lakeview (swimming, kayaking, lake pad with the fire pit). It was the retreat we were looking for!
Lakefront cabin with perfect view of the water. Idyllic lake for swimming, kayaking and canoeing. Cottage is quirky, rustic and cozy with all the basic amenities. We had a fantastic four days!
Great space, quiet, campfires, swimming, fishing, boating
Great time with my family. Best place out of the last 5 years averaging out all different factors. Better than the pictures, improved firepit area w deck, decent privacy. Will be back
Great little cabin on the lake! My family enjoyed fishing off the dock daily and sitting by the fire at night.
This cabin is a great spot if you are looking to get away and relax. The row boat was an added bonus to cruise around the lake.
Thanks for a nice week
Well furnished, comfortable, plenty of amenities and on a quiet lake. Excellent value. Yard is a little swampy but plenty of deck space. Would recommend.
Due to covid, my family wanted a lakeside cottage by ourselves to relax in this summer. This was the perfect fit for us. Our boys and their friends LOVED fishing off the dock, kayaking, and swimming. My husband and I were thrilled with the beautiful scenery and the relaxation. We would definitely come back!
A good weekend away at the lake kinda house. The communication and instructions were easy and clear. Reading all the reviews before going really helps set the bar. I didnât go in expecting anything fancy and I was happy. The location is great, the lake is beautiful, the 4 boats and life vests, grill and fire pit add to the experience. Get your sâmores ready and go have fun.
Quiet, comfortable lakeside cabin with great views.
Great lakeside setting at a comfortable cabin with great outdoor space and views. Just a beautiful lake set in the hills of PA with great boating, swimming, walking and biking. Nothing but relaxation.
We had a great time staying at the cabin and it had all the amenities we needed. Having use of the paddle boat and others on the property really made for a great trip. The picture of the living room/dining room doesnât really showcase how big the space really is and 6 of us felt comfortable without being on top of each other. My only suggestions would be to put more stone or gravel to the house in the front and Back because it is very marshy and the few stones were submerged in water after a full day of heavy rains. Also include a broom and small power vacuum because we dragged in a lot of pine needles and couldnât find anything to pick them up.
Overall we loved it, amazing view of the lake and hope to go back next year .
My daughters and I enjoyed staying here for 3 nights. We fished everyday and made great use of the watercraft too. The house was clean and had everything that we needed. Page Lake is a great vacation spot. We look forward to returning next summer!
Disappointed to say the least. We made the best of it.
The cabin itself was very comfortable. Inside was beautifully decorated in casual country cheek. Everything we needed for the kitchen was there. Pots, pans dishes cups, coffee pot microwave, etc... We did need to purchase, paper items (paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, foil, garbage bags). There was absolutely none. The Wi-Fi worked fine. The cable did not. We needed to fix it daily then have a technician come in. (Inconvenient). The doors stuck, my husband fixed them. There were wasps, my husband removed the nest The screen door had holes where flies and bees were coming in. My husband repaired that. Worst of all, we planned our trip around relaxing and fishing on the lake. The dock was apart, someone had to come repair it. There was no path to get into the house or to get to the lake. Due to rain it was a swampy disgusting mud pit. My elderly mother with COPD was not able to get onto the dock so her trip was a waste. My handicapped sister couldn't do anything but watch from the deck because there was no access for her to get to the lake without falling. You can't control the weather but access should have been taken care of. The neighbor, Michelle was very nice and helpful during our stay. Fortunately Liz was nice enough and appreciative of what we had done and refunded some money back. With a few repairs and additions we would consider returning.
Sadly the original owner passed away in 2015. The ensuing years have not been kind to the cottage. From the floors that have become noticably uneven(bathroom floor is the worse) the condition of the boats to no working batteries in any of the remotes....to the mouse excrement in the linen storage, it was an unhappy experience. Nothing was an emergency so we did not call the owner or caretaker. It is obvious that the owner has not been there in a while. The lake is clean and beautiful. The neighbors were friendly and nice. But we will not be back.
My wife's family used to rent here over 30years ago. We have been the past few years at families Place but first year we rented for a week. We have 4 kids who loved the lake , the boats, and the fishing. We plan to keep coming for many years.
My family rents waterfront camps most summers, and this camp was nothing special. A few minor issues, but owner was responsive to most of them (had to ask twice for more firewood as only a little there when we arrived). Camp could use some TLC, and the bunkhouse/annex needs a lot of work - I would not recommend the bunkhouse.
My family enjoyed our time and the lake is very quiet. If using just the main camp it is fine.
Great cabin, simple design makes it very easy to disconnect and recharge. My family and I fished everyday, relaxed in the clean lake and got plenty of sun. Owner and maintenance man were wonderful to work with! Highly recommend this property.
