Accueil historique des capitaines de la mer dans le centre-ville de Mystic, marchez partout!

Le capitaine William Morgan House, la maison d'un capitaine de la marine vers 1850. EntiĂšrement rĂ©novĂ© en 2010, ce nĂ©o-grec a conservĂ© tout son charme d'origine, ainsi que des Ă©quipements modernes. Il est situĂ© au cƓur du quartier historique du centre-ville de Mystic. Laissez votre voiture et allez partout Ă  pied!
La cour est entiÚrement clÎturée. Il y a un porche assis à l'avant et un grand, couvert, porche à colonnes à l'arriÚre de la maison. Nous avons créé un 6 pi. Feu de granit fosse dans le dos, ainsi qu'un autre patio. Les jardins potagers et de fleurs entourent la propriété.
vues Mystic River sont vus de la plupart des fenĂȘtres et la cour arriĂšre. Vous pouvez entendre des sifflets de bateaux, cloches et les sons de la mer. Ma propriĂ©tĂ© est un terrain double de taille, trĂšs privĂ©, paisible et relaxant!

To put it simply - absolutely fantastic. The house and property is absolutely amazing and Sue and Tyler's attention to detail truly is second to none. The location is (obviously) perfect for a stay in wonderful Mystic. At first I was concerned with only street parking but you are able to work it out easily and the street never really fills up. The back yard area is better than it even looks in pictures and the bedrooms and kitchen areas were immaculate. We were there for Conn College Fall Weekend and couldn't have chosen a better place. If you are looking for a place to stay in Mystic - look no further - you will not regret this place. Thanks again to our wonderful hosts.

The Sea Captains Home offered our familiy a special retreat just a few blocks from the center of Mystic. We stayed here with our extended family--my sister's family and ours--adults and teens. There was plenty of space including access to the beautiful deck, yard, and firepit. Our kids enjoyed walking in and out of town on their own. Sue was incredibly gracious and responsive. She has decorated the home with love and sweet touches of color and tasteful design.

Great location!

Beautiful historic home in walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants. We had plenty of space to enjoy each other‘s company. The back porch was delightful in the mornings with a cup of coffee and good conversation.

Amazing Captain House in the heart of Mystic

Susan was a great host! House is adorable and fully loaded with everything you need! Quick walk into downtown Mystic for shops and great restaurants!I will definitely be coming back!

Great Stay!

We had a girls trip to meet up with family who lives in the area. This is a Great Location to explore Mystic. The house had everything we needed and enough room for everyone without feeling like we were all on top of each other. 10 out of 10 stay!

Perfect weekend

We were in town for a Celebration of Life. The house was a perfect place for all 8 of us to stay. We were even able to host a few relatives with all of the leftovers afterwards in the backyard. We especially enjoyed our visits from Herman.

Old friends

Eight lifetime friends went for two nights to celebrate all turning 70 this year! The house was lovely! So close to town! We had a wonderful time, our host was lovely! I wish we could’ve stayed longer

Charming quirky historic home

Sue’s Captain Morgan historic home has an excellent yard — large, fully fenced for kids or a small well behaved dog like ours. Note that the house is separate but the property is shared w/ Sue’s dog and her family. They live in an adjacent home on the large parcel, though the yard is mostly private use when guests are there. The historic home has some unusual renovation elements that provide a lot of beds in this basically three bedroom, 2 bath multi level house. Kitchen is stocked but items are hard to find. Very cozy inside. Gorgeous porch and deck. Would be nice for family gatherings outside. Easy walk to downtown Mystic. Sue is friendly and quick to reach out. Would stay again. Thanks Sue!

Terrific stay in Mystic

My family, who lives in New Jersey, Massachusetts, and New York picked this house and Mystic for a long weekend gathering. Perfect choice. Large living room and dining room and kitchen which was well stocked for cooking, etc. Enough bedrooms for all (we needed 5), although the loft area was not too private but doable. Lovely house, clean, beautifully decorated, down a quiet street right in town. One block to all the stores, bars, restaurants, gallery... Lots of great places to eat. The outdoor space was lovely too. A covered back deck with table and chairs and a front porch; large lawn. The hostess was very welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommend the house.

Great house in a great location

The Captain Morgan house in downtown Mystic is the perfect place to stay for anyone looking for comfortable accommodations in a prime spot. The house itself was unique, clean, and had a beautiful back deck overlooking the manicured back yard. We were able to walk everywhere downtown from Mystic Pizza to the drawbridge, without needing to move our cars the whole weekend
a huge plus! We would not hesitate to book this house with Susan again!

Fabulous place

We rented this for a sisters (4) gathering. We all live in CT but decided to do a VRBO do we could spend quality time together This is a perfect location. Everything is within walking distance. A wrll stock kitchen afforded us the pleasure of cooking breakfast together. Beautiful grounds in a quiet neighborhood. We are planning on returning in the fall.

Mystic Family Vacation

The house was beautiful full of nice amenities. The kitchen was stocked and both bathrooms had everything we needed. The furnishings were very nice and comfortable. All the bedrooms except the first floor bedroom had air conditioning. The outdoor space was wonderful and enclosed so our dogs and toddler could enjoy it without fear of going in the street. Herman was very friendly and social. The one challenge was street parking. We managed acceptably but at times we had to park further away than expected. The location of the property to downtown Mystic was fantastic. A very easy walk to main street and the draw bridge. We had a wonderful time there.

We were 8 college friends getting together to catch up. It was great sitting on the back porch enjoying the garden and Herman (the friendliest dog). We will definitely return!

Another Perfect Stay in Mystic

This was our family's second stay at the Captain's House. It's just a lovely place and Sue is a great host. The house was clean with thoughtful fresh cut flowers throughout. It has great spaces to gather, a well stocked gourmet kitchen and a huge back porch overlooking the gardens. Very walkable neighborhood with downtown Mystic shops and cafes just a few blocks away. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved the charm of the Captain Morgan house and the location is unbeatable! Walking distance to all downtown mystic has to offer! Herman was the cherry on top of this magnificent property!!

Wonderful stay in Mystic

We loved the Historic Sea Captain's Home, it was well-appointed, clean and had plenty of room. We loved that it was decorated so beautifully for Christmas! The location was fantastic, walk to everything.

Best House Location for a Family with Dog Mystic Stay!

We were lucky to have booked the Capt. William Morgan House nearly 10 months out as needed a large home to accommodate 8 plus the family dog. The house is wonderful, especially the back porch / yard and the one block walk to the heart of the Downtown Main Street Mystic. Susan the host was excellent and very accommodating. Our 4 nite stay was for our son's wedding at Saltwater Vineyard and and we could not have picked a more perfect place with all the wedding logistics with having relatives stop by, wedding photos of the Grooms men in the lovely backyard, and having a few relatives over for a quick breakfast on the patio the morning after the wedding as family/friends departed town. Again, Susan was very helpful and accommodating with good communication. The fenced in yard is perfect for your family dog, but realize the entire yard is actually part of a shared compound with 2 other cottages and the Landlord's home so you will be sharing the yard with the Landlords very sweet retriever and if any of the cottage guests have a dog, so you gotta hope your dog gets along with other dogs because the dogs have free roam. We were concerned at first but the dogs got along. Parking is on the street, which in downtown Mystic can be tricky....fortunately Susan keeps some cones handy so we were able to keep a spot out front. Again great stay, wonderful house, and we could walk to nearly everything! We love VRBO's to experience homes in towns you'd want to own yourself!

Simply the Best!

I wish I could give TEN stars to Sue and her fabulous home. She has taken such care to ensure guests have a positive, mind-blowing experience. The interiors are gorgeous with designer attention to detail, personality, and lots of home-spun charm. The house has everything one could want, and Sue is highly responsive to all communications. She even made us delicious lobster rolls upon request for a special event we were having with our family. I'd go back again and again. It's a home away from home now. Thank you Sue for making our stay such an exceptional experience. :)

We loved it!

We had a wonderful stay at Susan's house. It was just perfect for what we needed. The house is spacious, clean, fully equipped, there was room for everyone, the kids really enjoyed the outdoor space, and Susan was a perfect host, discrete and extremely helpful. She gave us great tips on what to do in the surroundings. We hope to be back soon.

I am also happy to say that many great memories have been created here. I have a degree in graphic design and art education enabling me to add many creative touches to each suite. I am also a people person so I love my job!
