This condo is an end unit in a large, gated complex. It has a private feel since it is surrounded by desert with mountain views. There are great restaurants nearby and the area was perfect for us. The hosts were very responsive to our needs and we were satisfied with our stay. The property could use a bit of updating but for the price we were happy.
The place had great views and fantastic hosts. The largest complaint would be the person living in the condo above, there was no quiet during our stay. I have no clue what he was doing up there, but if sleeping in an active construction zone is your thing, I would highly recommend this place. Overall an apartment-style condo that was functional and could use a handyman's attention. For the price, I do not think you could find a better place to stay in Tucson. Again the hosts were amazing and would give 10 stars if allowed, definitely the best part of the entire experience.
Our family stayed here for 4 nights. The beds were comfortable. The condo was clean and has a nice view of the desert. Interior is a little outdated. The complex is overall pretty quiet but the neighbor above was very loud and often sounded like he was coming through the ceiling. Dining table is small. Not much living space for more than 4 people. We experienced a small plumbing problem but the owner was responsive. Not a terrible stay but I donât think I would consider it luxury.
The property itself is very nice. For the check in I didnÂŽt get a keycode for the gate (gated community). No one answered a telephone call so I had to climb over the fence to manage all by myself. Another question I texted was not answered. And: the price in the ad with USD 49 ended up as USD 127,50 per night! Bad!
There was no barbecue though it is advertised as having one. The upstairs neighbor was noisy at times and his dog barked quite a bit. There is no light in the microwave over the stove. The place could use a thorough cleaning. Entryways to bedroom carpets have the tack boards exposed. Be careful if your walking barefoot. We would not stay here again and would not recommend it.
Must enjoy yappy biting dog overhead and creaky ceiling
We were welcomed by a yappy little dog "Frosty" and the smell of smoke. An instant OMG moment occurred as we looked at each other. After 15 minutes it shutup then struck up its vocal chords a half dozen times further on. Still yipping at 21:55, I prepared a text message to send to the owner, but I didn't, as I gathered the owner looked at the clock or muzzled "Frosty" at 22:00.
During our first hour inside and seated at the dining table, the dining light shook significantly as the dog owner walked across the room. As we went to sleep, especially challenging for light sleepers, the ceiling noise was unbearable in the Master bedroom. Needless to say, it was not restful either nights, as you could hear him get up during the night also.
Fortunately our time spent in the ground floor unit was for wind-down and wake-up timeframes only. The main bathroom shower drain would fill up and did not drain for the duration of a shower, so my son used our bathroom facility. Both could certainly use some remodelling and plumbing attention.
As we moved out before our due departure time, the upstairs dog owner had "Frosty" out on the sidewalk from the parking area. As I was walking to our vehicle with a full load "Frosty" bites me on my right leg! It's teeth stuck in my pant after it was refused penetrating my skin by twisting my toe off my heal, attempting to flick it off of me.
No where in the listing is there any mention of these issues.
First-floor unit in a gated complex at Kolb and Snyder, less than two miles from Ventana and Sabino Canyon. The patio overlooks Mt Lemmon. Large master with tv and en-suite, plus two additional bedrooms and another bathroom. Full-size washer/dryer. Supermarket with Starbucks is less than a mile away. Twenty minute drive to campus.
Very close to Sabino Canyon, shops and restaurants. Our teens enjoyed the pool area. We stayed for two nights and this property was perfect for the 4 of us.
Property was clean and ready for our family's use. It was a bit cramped for 6 people. Five is probably a realistic maximum. Location was good and restaurant tips by owner were very helpful. Availability of pool was a nice feature.
Great location near Sabino Canyon hiking and good restaurants. Condo had what we needed as a family with young children. Extra plus that the pool was heated and the condo complex has a small spa to enjoy as well. Condo backs right up to desert with great mountain views. We very much enjoyed our stay.
The complex was nice & quiet, close to restaurants, and the pool was nice & big for us to cool off in. The place was clean & spacious....enough room for 3 adults & 3 kids.
My sister and I stayed here for a few nights while visiting our folks and brother. We found this place to be perfectly located, peaceful, and an excellent getaway.

This property is very special to me. The "aura" of the desert is second to none. Beautiful, serene, energy of this type is hard to find elsewhere! Wildlife is everywhere you look! Roadrunners, birds, coyotes, even Javalinas if you're lucky!
I've been in love with the desert for many years, but i picked this property due to the nearby amenities. First of all the view is amazing. We have top restaurants, shopping, supermarkets all around. Magical hiking trails everywhere you look. Championship golf courses, the Biosphere and the Gem Show are all accessible! it goes on and on!
