Sunset Shore House. Beautiful sunsets 4.8 km from Shelburn's historic waterfront
Take a deep breath and enjoy the view of Shelburne's natural harbour. Enjoy this spacious three bedroom home all year around. Plan trips to the beach, visit Sandy Point Lighthouse or go for a stroll down Dock Street, Shelburn's historic waterfront. In winter, sit in front of the cozy wood stove with a good book or visit one of many restaurants in town. Our dog friendly property comes with an unfenced back yard. A heat pump will cool the main living area in summer and provide heat in the colder months. A covered patio with a barbecue offers a sheltered place to sit outside and a fire bowl can be used for campfires when the weather is good. Camp fire wood is not provided. Come and stay at Sunset Shore House and enjoy the best the area has to offer .
The property was just perfect for my family with my mother inlaw . Spacious , clean ,and a safe bungalow . Easy access inside without climbing stairs .Bedrooms, washroom, are all on one floor. Best relaxing vacation. Thank you Sabine you are a very kind person
Beautiful property, inside and out, with amazing sunset view
Sabine was an excellent host, and the home clean, comfortable and spacious. We loved the view out the large front window. Backyard is elevated, offering a stellar view of water and amazing sunset. A lovely welcome postcard and treats, for us and our dogs, was so thoughtful and appreciated after our long drive. Sabine communicated regularly and made us feel very welcome. She referred us to local eateries and parks/beaches. We loved our stay, and would go back for another visit to this beautiful home next time we visit Nova Scotia.
We had such a wonderful stay at Sunset Shore House! Gorgeous views of the water from the front deck and living room! We spotted pileated woodpecker, and various ducks and geese from the front deck :) Accomodation was exceptionally clean and very well equiped. Thank you for a fantastic stay, we will definitely be back!
Sabine thought of everything. We could have showed up with the clothes on our back. She had a bag of chips and chocolate and dog treats when we got there. Thereâs a relaxing room with a firewood stove that can give everyone a chance to have time by themselvesroom
Sabine was the most amazing host. The little touches she has for guests is amazing. From having cream and milk in the fridge for the coffee station, to multiple types of teas, puppy supplies, personal note and treats... and of course her availability to communicate during our stay. The house is spotless and the very welcoming. The property inside and out is meticulously maintained. She even has a lovely tourist table set up with information about the community and sites to see. WONDERFUL experience. I look for to a return visit next year.
The location of this property is as good as it gets - Just across the street from the shoreline of Shelburne Harbor with a spectacular view of the sunset right from the front porch! It is also convenient for trips to the Shelburne waterfront and several restaurants. The bedrooms are small but there is ample room to stretch out in the living areas. The welcome gift was a nice touch as was the excellent communication with the property owner. All of the recommendations for sights to visit that we received before check-in were some of the best of our entire tour of Nova Scotia. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to visit in NS!
Excellent hostess and couldn't have done more, even going so far as to give us a welcome gift, as well as coffee, tea, cream and milk. Everything was as described.
Lovely place to relax and investigate the South Shore
Enjoyed the views of the water and proximity to cultural and artistic centers. House is well-maintained and comfortably furnished. Nice to have good quality accoutrements too. Highly recommend the house on Sandy Point.
