Welcome to Cooper’s Cabin. The Northwoods are calling and Cooper's Cabin is the perfect destination! Reserve your perfect destination at Stepaway Vacation Rentals! The property features 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths, perfect for a group or family of up to 8 guests. Enjoy all of the conveniences of home while taking in the breathtaking views of Rice Lake.

Rice lake is a quiet, non-motorized 80-acre lake known for great musky, panfish, and walleye fishing. It provides a serene and peaceful setting that the entire family will enjoy. Enjoy fishing or swimming off of your own private pier, or exploring by canoe or kayak. Catch glimpses of the eagles soaring above, and the resident swans. The frontage is sandy and gradual on the side of the pier, but the lake is left undisturbed (unraked) to enhance vegetation and promote wildlife. After enjoying the lake during the day, sit under the stars beside the large lakeside fire pit, grill on the deck, and enjoy the peaceful calm of the Northwoods.

Cooper’s Cabin welcomes you into an open-style living room and kitchen with everything you’ll need to dine in or entertain. The master bedroom has a full bath and in-suite jacuzzi tub. Bedroom #2 features dual bunk beds providing a whimsical and camp-like space for younger travelers! Bedroom #3 has a queen bed. Relax in front of the gas burning fireplace enjoying your morning coffee or evening cocktail and watch the wildlife walk, swoop, and run by.

Located in Vilas County, home of over 500 miles of renowned snowmobile trails, enjoy the many perks of the cabin’s location by ATVing directly from the property, or being minutes from snowmobile rental facilities. Downtown Eagle River and the town of St. Germain are both just a short drive away to explore the local shops, restaurants, and pubs!

Our family had a great experience and would rent again. While there are a few homes nearby, the lake felt very secluded and private. You can hear the road nearby but it did not take away from our experience. The proximity to Eagle River was also nice for activities with the kids and picking up a few necessities.

Excellent response to an issue at check-in

We’ll definitely rent again! We had such a great time—staying up way too late playing board games with the kids and soaking up those early, peaceful mornings on the dock with a cup of coffee. Just two grateful (and admittedly dorky) parents, still madly in love, making memories with our family.

Fun Times in the Northwoods!

Our family enjoyed a delightful week of relaxing and recreation at this beautiful cabin near Eagle River! We appreciated the privacy of the cabin’s setting and the convenience of being close enough to town for a quick grocery run or a meal at one of the restaurants in town! My grand children caught numerous panfish off of the dock and the adults landed a couple of northern pike. We were blessed to stay at this nice property!! John Schaeffel

Clean! one of the cleanest we've stayed at- pictures were accurate. Beds fairly comfortable. Sectional in LR QUITE broke down- not comfortable. Sunsets beautiful- awesome to see swans so close to the pier. Lake was disappointing for both swimming and fishing VERY weedy, okay for kayaking. Cabin is near possible year round homes- neighbors were friendly

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a nice time, the yard was big and the neighbors were friendly. The cabin was nice but small. The beds were very comfortable, and the fishing was fantastic. The only thing that was disappointing were all the weeds. We thought one side of the dock was for swimming but it was too weedy and the kids wouldn’t go in.

Availability of the rowboat, canoe and two kayaks on the no motor lake was the highlight of the trip. Lake not really swimmable because of heavy weeds, and bring your weedless hooks and lures. Two nice fire pits available and a weber grill, bring charcoal. We would stay here again.

Cute clean cabin

It has everything you need. Washer dryer and dishwasher. Dishes and pots and pans as well. Very clean and cute up north decor. Beds were firm, but comfortable. Lake was good for kayaking. Not much of a swimming lake though. Lots of weeds on one side of dock. We went to a differ beach for swimming. Utv trails were awesome in this area. Walking the dogs was tough as the road was very busy, but we were able to walk around a huge sports area that had disc golf, soccer and baseball. Pickleball courts in town were very nice. All good.
