Confortable, maison de famille située au centre avec de bonnes liaisons de transport, c'est une base idéale pour explorer tout ce que Londres a à offrir.

La maison est très adapté pour les familles, avec trois chambres doubles, grande cuisine / dîner, un grand salon, et un beau jardin privé.

La maison a des tonnes ou de caractère et très central (vous pouvez entendre Big Ben depuis le jardin); c'est la base idéale pour profiter de vos vacances à Londres.

La maison est bien équipée et très confortable, avec de nombreuses antiquités de la famille ainsi que beaucoup de conforts.

* Le logement de couchage se compose de trois chambres à coucher avec un lit double dans chaque chambre, répartie sur les 2e et 3e étages.
* Egalement sur ces sols sont deux salles de bain complètes.
* Le 1er étage dispose d'un grand salon avec beaucoup de sièges confortables, une télévision par câble et un lecteur DVD et des DVD et des livres pour vous d'utiliser.
* Au rez-de-chaussée, vous trouverez la grande cuisine ouverte, salle à manger et un coin salon avec accès à un grand jardin à l'arrière de la propriété. Un WC se trouve également à cet étage.

L'hôte vit dans un appartement séparé dans le sous-sol de la propriété avec sa propre entrée. Il y a une porte communicante dans le sous-sol de la maison via la buanderie commune, cependant, les interactions sont minimes, mais elles doivent rester en cas de problème ou si vous avez des questions pendant votre séjour.

Très bon séjour pour une famille de 5 personnes

Beaucoup d'espace sur 4 niveaux et à 5-6 mn à pied de la station de métro Lambeth North, ou 15 20 mn à pied pour passer de l'autre coté de la Tamise quartier Westminster. Adaptateurs et produits de base disponibles. Conforme aux photos.

très belle maison grade II petit jardin a l’arrière exceptionnel dans ce coin de Londres

Rien a redire superbe maison nous étions 6 les chambres et lits sont confortables. cuisine fonctionnelle au rez de chaussée et une pièce détente au 1er avec TV -cd-dvd -bibliothèque (en anglais). Jardin tranquille a l’arrière de la cuisine. Alan notre hôte nous a bien expliqué les alentours et a surtout été patient en nous attendant. l'emplacement de la maison est idéale avec les lignes de bus pour Trafalgar square - Liverpool street- Marble Arch - Brixton village etc...a 1mn. les salles de bains ne sont pas modernes mais agréables avec douches, dans le caractère de la maison. Je recommande cette maison pour une famille ou comme nous des couples en week end.

Typique et charmant

Cette maison ancienne et typique nous a charmés: extérieur et intérieur sont propres et le jardin derrière est superbe! Elle est très bien située: juste en face de l'arrêt du bus qui nous emmène jusqu'à la gare St Pancras et nous sommes allés à pieds juqu'à Big Ben!! Notre séjour, un peu court, ne nous a pas permis de profiter pleinement du joli intérieur de la maison ainsi que du jardin très accueillant. Le propriétaire est très sympathique et disponible tout en étant discret. Ce n'était pas du tout génant qu'il loge sur place. Nous recommandons vivement cet hébergement. Ce n'est cependant pas très adapté aux familles avec enfants car sur trois étages donc beaucoup de marches!!

Excellent house in convenient neighborhood

We really enjoyed our stay in London and found the house to be comfortable and conveniently located for seeing London's sites. The house has everything you need. There were some plumbing improvements that were in process that caused one of the two showers to be difficult to use but we were able to manage around it ok. The property manager was very hospitable and responsive. We will definitely consider another stay at the house on future trips to London.

Shower Plumbing failed, caused flooded bathroom twice-

We felt it necessary to communicate our disappointment with the accommodations found at property #982757, One of the requirements we had when searching for our VRBO was 2 full baths with working showers as we are a family of 5 adults. One of the showers had broken plumbing, causing it to very quickly flood and flow out over the entire bathroom floor. We immediately reported this, and although the resident came to help us sop up the wet floor, and attempted to repair the pump, it proved unsuccessful. The next time we tried using the shower the exact thing happened again. This time we cleaned up the mess ourselves. Both times my wife had to wrap up in a towel whilst waiting for a repair before she could finish showering and rinse off. This was more than inconvenient and totally unacceptable. Not only was this quite uncomfortable, but it caused us to leave much later than planned on 2 of 3 mornings and forced quite a rush for us to make it to our ticketed tour and train.

Charming home

The house was charming and the location was great. The buses were very convenient and there were restaurants and coffee shops and a pharmacy and a grocery all nearby. We really enjoyed the house.

Great accomodations in a great location

Travelled with 6 adults - plenty of room for all of us. Easy to walk to local attractions, Tube stations nearby as well. Alan was very helpful and communicated quickly. Would recommend for a great london stay.

Wonderful and beautiful house

First off, we arrived early from the US and were able to check in early, which was great. Similarly on check out we were able to leave our bags and pick them up later. A great help both times. The house is wonderful and the first floor library is a lovely location to chill out. Lots of stairs so take that into account. Overall, highly recommended.

Englischer Charme

Wir haben die zweieinhalb Wochen in Alans Haus sehr genossen. Die Lage war wunderbar: Busse in unterschiedliche Richtungen und vor allem ins Stadtzentrum halten quasi vor der Haustür, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es mit kürzerem und längerem Fußweg. Ein paar kleine Mängel möchte ich jedoch anmerken: 1. war es in den Aufenthaltsräumen - nicht in den Schlafzimmern - zu kalt und trotz komplett aufgedrehter Heizkörper wurde es nicht gemütlich. 2. waren für meinen Geschmack viel zu viele persönliche Gegenstände/Kleider des Eigentümers in den ziemlich unaufgeräumten Schränken. Auch die Küche war voll von angebrauchten Lebensmitteln. Das alles erzeugte einen etwas "schmuddeligen" Eindruck. 3. waren die Schrankfächer in den Schlafzimmern und in den Badezimmern nicht wirklich sauber. Insgesamt fühlten wir uns aber sehr zuhause und wir liebten es, für die Zeit in einem typisch englischen Ambiente "Londoner" zu spielen.

Fantastic stay in a really comfortable enormous home within walking distance of central London.

We would recommend this property and the host to anyone wanting to stay in a fantastic home full history, family portraits and the owners library. Four of us stayed and could have a floor to ourselves! Host could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Great value for money and an honour to stay in what is clearly a loved property.

Conveniently located

The property is conveniently located within walking distance of Big Ben etc with easy reach to public transport. The buses are within less than a couple of minutes walk from the property and there are some convenience stores practically directly opposite. The house is a beautiful old property with loads of character.

lovely London home

This was a perfect place for my family to stay for a few days in London. Alan, the host, was gracious and responsive to all of our needs. We really enjoyed the sunny kitchen and dining area, the elegant study, and the comfortable bedrooms. The garden is lovely and well-kept. The neighborhood is reasonably quiet and yet only a 10-minute walk from the Lambeth Bridge, and close to bus and tube stations. Staying here was a significant highlight of our trip.

Family Vacation

The property was magnificent and the pictures don't do it justice. I believe the age is more than 250 years old and the entire home had a true feeling of the history it has been part of, but all the modern conveniences one would expect. We just happened to be in London during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and the whole city was decked out and very welcoming. Maria did a great job with communications before arrival and Alan was very responsive onsite every time we needed anything or had a question. He is also an impressive gardener with the back garden being truly breathtaking! - Hope to be able to return some time in the future.

Excellent home for family trip

we had a great stay at the home. We arrived a little early, but were still able to check in early. It was so nice to have some more space to spread out into compared to cramming into small hotel rooms. The backyard is a beautiful garden full of trees and flowers and a lovely sitting area. Seriously, unbelievable. There is laundry, which was well needed. Just don't use the machines after 10. Sorry to the owner for that! There is a downstairs flat to be aware of where the laundry is. Location was fine. A little bit from most of the main London locations. But we loved the walk. Maybe a 15 minute walk to the Eye and to Waterloo station. Overall, highly recommend and would stay again without a doubt.

Delightful English home!

We truly enjoyed our stay in London at this English multi-level home. The library/living room was spacious and felt like you were walking into a library at Downton Abbey. The garden was an oasis in a busy city-such beautiful flowering plants and trees. The location was excellent -easy to hop on city buses and, many things were within walking distance. We would have loved to stay longer,

Beautiful flat in pretty good location

The house is beautiful, on a main road with well tended properties, around 1/2 mile from Tube stations. The caretaker was very responsive, allowed us to check in early, and provided all the info we needed. The back garden was lush and beautiful. We had nice weather so we really enjoyed sitting out with our drinks and snacks. A few things to note, some of which are already in the property description. This is not a place for those with disabilities. There are 4 floors, with bedrooms on 3rd and 4th floors. Also, there is a large step up into the bathtub. There is no soap or shampoo but there is a hair dryer in the bedroom closet. There is no air conditioning but there are fans. Windows open in the sitting room but not the bedrooms so they are warm at night. The breeze is pleasant with the windows open, but there is quite a bit of road noise, especially from the motor scooters, which are quite loud. The microwave looked ancient and we managed to turn it on once or twice but never figured out exactly how to work it. Laundry is in the basement so you’ll have to connect with caretaker to use it. We had no problem with that at all and were able to use it while he was at work. There is detergent available. Grocery shopping is sparse, compared to central London. There’s a Tesco Express a few blocks away which has some staples but not a lot of fresh offerings. A larger market is around a mile away. Some smaller nearby shops had fresh produce stands out front. There are lots of great pubs and cafes within easy walking distance. All the cafes had fresh baked goods to go, too. The sitting room is large and filled with all manner of interesting books. We could have stayed for years reading them! There’s plenty of room to sit and relax with tables for devices, etc. However, the sofas have definitely seen better days.

Beautiful Garden!

Beautiful 1750s home in Lambeth, located on a gorgeous tree-lined street with many conveniences nearby. The garden alone is worth the stay...meticulously kept, quiet place to sit and take in all the beauty. Alan, the manager of the property (and gardener) was waiting for us upon arrival, taking through all the details. The only exception might be the stairs of this 4 store home. Highly recommended!!

Skip that Hotel!!

We are a family of 5 adults that wanted to be able to spend any downtime we had together during our visit to London. This property was perfect for our needs! We had breakfast together in the morning (thanks to the local grocery which is minutes away), popped into the Lambeth North tube station or walked across the bridge every day for our sightseeing and then came back to hang out in the late evening. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood, which was welcome after the hustle and bustle of the day. If you are looking for a home away from home, this property fits the bill!
